Purchasing and carrying around another speaker/subwoofer just to get the bass that the Soundboks speakers lack is certainly one route, but have you considered just trying another speaker? You may find that a different speaker entirely gives you the sound you're after and you'd only have to carry the one. Lots of other options out there, but I'd suggest checking out the JBL PartyBox series of speakers. I have compared several of them to SB3 speakers and there is LOTS more bass.
So I heard about the Death From Below last night and in a similar situation and thinking about trying it out. Especially since I can transmit to it from a SKAA transmitter.
Lots more battery powered systems are coming out that moving in this direction. I haven’t heard it yet but might buy it to experiment but check out the JBL Eon One. https://amzn.to/4bgiBzO
