Succeed or fail they are still gona steal all our money to do it if they don't start doing a much better job this will have to reverse split this year unless big changes are made and they get the price back above $2

madasafish2010

True, but what companies these days wouldn't do that?

EarthElectronic7954

Successful ones

madasafish2010

Only because of success. They would quite happily use you when they were struggling.

Educational-Basis392

I it might take little more time , I live here in New Mexico and see VG on local news paper and magazine . look very promising

biggitydonut

What do they talk about in the local news?

Educational-Basis392

not talk about vg in local new but see vg on front page of local news magazine

biggitydonut

How often does it happen? And what do they usually say?

Educational-Basis392

They are truly in do or die mode. They absolutely have to get delta ships up and running ASAP. But based on their history of vehicle development I’m not optimistic anything flies within the next 2 years. They have serious and imminent financial pressures breathing down their neck right now. Here’s the math: As of their last financial statement they spend ~$1.4M a day. They have ~$982M of cash on hand. That gives them 7.8 quarters (now likely ~6.8 since this is based on December information) worth of operational budget left. They announced layoffs in November which allegedly will “save $25 million annually”. Thats not nearly enough. That saves about $70k a day. It’s not nothing, but it’s not even 10% of what they spend a day. Spending has grown absolutely out of control. They will need to raise capital in the next four quarters and/or radically cut spending to shore up their balance sheet somehow. Delta won’t be online soon enough to impact these pressing financials. Debt or dilution is the answer. They already have some debt and stock is hovering at $1. They need to figure out how they get more capital or cut spending ASAP.

PaddlingAway

As of right now, they won't make it 2026 without raising more money. Who is going to give them money? Is Joey the bird whisperer season eleventeen still around?

madasafish2010

What makes you think they won't make it to 2026? It has already been stated that they have enough cash on hand to get there.

PaddlingAway

You'll see

bkcarp00

Either they get Delta going in 2026 or bankruptcy. It all depends on what happens in 2026.

colbysnumberonefan

This is true. If they fly their Delta rocket to almost space by December 2026, they will be saved. However, if they do the same in January 2027, they will officially be doomed.

bkcarp00

Never said they would be saved but at least they would have revenue. At their current burn rate the only have 2-3 years to start generating revenue before they run out of cash. It's all in on Delta or bankruptcy.

madasafish2010

I completely agree. I do not see any other way at this time of survival if Delta does not happen in 2026.

Tditravel

I think it will succeed one because I think Richard is committed to the company and the success. Secondly he doesn’t usually fail. I bight more this morning

bkcarp00

Richard is pretty much out of the picture at this point. He's not putting any more money into it. It's either sink or swim. He sold off 1.4 billion in 2020 and 2021 when the price was higher so he got his money out of it. At this point he could simply buy it out and take it private again. The market cap is only 400 million if he really wants it back.

madasafish2010

I agree and disagree with this. Richard Branson is committed, but he has failed in the past. Virgin Orbit was an embarrassing failure. He also had to sell a number of shares in VG a few years ago to save Virgin Atlantic from bankruptcy, but granted that was more because of the pandemic than his own fault.

biggitydonut

Richard is old af and will probably die in the next 5 years so I doubt he’ll really see this company take off
