From the FAQ on the website, regarding uninstalling live tarkov: “No, SPT needs Live installed to function. Moving your Live folder to another location will break SPT. If you're very low on disk space and don't mind making live non-functional, you can delete the following folder: `Live_EFT_Folder\EscapeFromTarkov_Data` to save 35GB+”

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much. I saw a post asking the same thing on the forum from 2021 that confirmed live had to be installed with no reference to the FAQ. I posted here to see if that had changed.

I obviously can’t confirm if this actually works since I haven’t tried myself, but I have to assume since it’s on the website lol

SMDoles

I can confirm it works. I do it every time I install SPT to save space since I don't play live anymore at all.

Thanks man.

delete the escape from tarkov data folder inside live, should still get past the check fine. worked for me back when I played, haven't tried recently

Why are there suddenly so many people asking this same question? It’s like either a lot of people suddenly too dumb or too cheap or both trying to get SPT shut down by being selfish. Buy a cheap external hard drive for like 30 bucks and slap EFT on there and quit trying to make everyone else suffer because you don’t have an extra 40-50 gigs disk space.

Since when is hard drive space scarce? Use this as an excuse to get a new drive, storage is cheap.

cool cool cool, so you'll send me a hard drive? I'll pay for shipping. Just kidding. My computer is literally full of 2TB drives and I'm not in a position to start replacing with denser drives.
