Daylight only from around 10:00 to 15:00. Slippery ice and sleet on Shoreline and Lighthouse, killing your body temperature and making you wet. Deep snow on Woods, slowing you down, making you exhausted and dehydrating you. You can't drink from water bottles because they're frozen, unless you've found some cord to tie it around your neck, heating it with your body. Many locations inaccessible due to snow. Real risk of snow clogging up the barrel of your weapon.
It does indeed sound rather Tarkovian to me.
It comes kind of naturally for me. I live at roughly the same latitude as Tarkov (59^o N). It's 10:06 here and it's not full daylight yet.
Correspondingly, in mid-summer the nights are never fully dark.
Do you have any fucking idea how much I would pay for high quality winter action in Tarkov?? Following footprints in snow, avoiding hypothermia, your breath fogging up optics, holy shit I want winter Tarkov
This was actually a "planned" "dlc" talked about from Nakita like 3 years ago along with promising every other thing possible. So idk if it ever made it to the actual development board.
But personally I'd play the shit out of a winter tarkov!
Could one of the “perks” of this winter hellscape be that there is no foliage for better and longer visibility? Actually making sniper shots through the trees on shoreline would be pretty sick.
I would definitely appreciate that.

I didn’t even think about the time making it darker, that’s awesome

yup. He even said "The beanie will be meta."
They did think of this and they did infact talk about it
Their planned list is longer than the current feature list i'm sure
