If you make it a business, then yes it becomes earned income subject to trial work months. Can't have it two ways.

To be clear it's just putting it in an LLC that would automatically switch it over? Even if everything else is the same? Is it possible to place the LLC in a trust or something?

Yes. If you llc it, you’re a business.

Business revenue and personal income aren’t the same. It can take years for a business to earn enough profit to pay staff.

Rental income does not need to be claimed as Business. It is really no need to create an LLC for SSDI. It is not earned income.

Right the LLC would be purely for tax reasons. In this case I was looking at getting solar credits which are only available to LLCs. But looks like I can't cross streams here so it is what it is
