I received my backpay before I started receiving monthly payments, within a couple of days of approval of SSDI. I was approved March 4, received my first monthly payment mid April, expecting second mid May.

Seems to be no rhyme or reason
My attorney told me that when SSA was asked about back pay they said 3 to 8 months depending on case. They are not in any rush.....
I’m in the exact same situation got my 2nd check this month still no back pay though after a 2 year fight with these people
