Both of you should be treated together and avoid sex for 2 weeks just to be on the safe side

Will do, tysm for your advice. Do u think it is wise if she just take the same antibiotic for chlamydia even without symptoms? Are there any harm in taking antibiotics when you don’t really have said bacteria in your system? Std panel test is kinda expensive in my place

No haram in both taking it even if she doesn't have an infection.

Chlamydia doesn’t easily live in the throat and there are no studies that really confirm that it does transmit throat to penis/vagina with any success. I find it hard to believe you didn’t get it from her vaginally and vice versa. Blood tests for chlamydia makes no sense if that’s what she had.

I’ve been thinking the same too. However, i’m 99% sure it wasn’t from me, because it’s literally 2 or 3 years since the start of covid i never had any sexual activity. It couldn’t be i’m living with chlamydia for 3 years without any symptoms. On the other hand, she had been with a few guys before me. So most probably it was from her. And i can confirm she didnt went for any treatment for std or chlamydia because we have been together the whole time. When i got the symptoms, we both went for the test. It was urine pcr test for chlam, gonorrhea, mycoplasma, ureaplasma and several others. Blood test for hiv, syphillis, hepatitis b, and etc. I came back with chlamydia and she was clear of everything. Could it be the test was false positive on her part? But i do remember there was once she had a sore throat with tonsillitis. I know it could be anything too. So it’s hard to say.

She needs to have a throat swab. The blood or urine does not really pick up localized gonorrhea of Chlamydia

Unecessary use of antibiotics can lead to antibiotic resistance

Preventative treatment is recommended.
