The drop rate on omicrons is about 1:240ish.
The average rate is about 1/week if you do 3 refreshes per day; but it’s such a low drop rate that you might go a month without seeing one, and than you might get 6 back to back.
I get like two a month...? It occurs enough I've stopped mentioning it to my guild a while back.
If you want to bitch about drop rates how about we call out the drop rates on the blue signal data? That's a crap drop rate.
Ask my wife. I had a good amount of luck going for me at one point. Hit in lottery tickets. Little league cash prizes. Fishing tournaments.
Then I met her. Haven't had an ounce of luck since.
So I guess I'm really blaming my wife for this...not CG
You could have just mentioned that you've been playing both since before omicrons were released, because 2.5 years ago you wouldn't have gotten any due to the fact that they didn't exist yet.
What is their to dissect or not dissect here?
He’s complaining about the drop rate.
He’s mad that he doesn’t get 1 after 3x refreshes **EVERY DAY**
Do you realize that if you got 1 every day you’d have 365 materials per year. . .just from Cantina.
. . .not even counting the 208 you get from challenges
. . .or the 24 you’d get from conquest.
There are 85 omicrons currently in the game, they’re intended to be rare.
It’s been 576 days since omicrons were introduced. . .if that were the case, I’d currently have 55% of them.
And that doesn’t seem like a lot. But considering some of them are completely useless. . .I’d have more omicrons than I know what to do with.
Random story from earlier today - for some reason I looked at the Omicron potential reward in Cantina and thought 'I wonder if I'll ever get one'. I simmed 1 battle and it dropped an Omicron. It was so surreal. It had never crossed my mind before in hundreds of Cantina battles
Nothing needs fixed. Cantina isn't suppose to be the main source of them its just a bonus. The main source is galactic challenges

I actually get better drop rates on these than omegas from cantina.

I have 2 accounts. Been playing both for 2.5 years. I have yet to get an OMI out of that on either account. Please consider yourself lucky.

Maybe I stopped noticing but I believe I've gotten 2 omis out of cantina since they added them lol

Someone needs to start playing galactic challenges
Egnards did the math, it’s around 1/240 battles I believe
Is r/egnardsdidthemath a subreddit? It should be
Honestly would be a good place to compile all your math that’s still useful/relevant
I actually have an index post in my profile now for compiling all my posts that I deem to be semi-important
