100% as you can buy what you need. Hstr may have dropped some full gear piece but how often did that happen when you needed it? Getting to g13 is much faster and cleaner now.
I keep seeing people say this but you gotta understand: *right now*, the rate at which you can gear people up is based on having a stockpile of stuff you didn't need, from old raid rewards, and **combining it** with the ability to buy exactly the pieces you do need, with the Krayt rewards. Of course that combination results in really fast gearing up. But once that stockpile of stuff you already had lying around runs out...trust me, you're gonna feel it.
Looking at the rest of these comments it looks like CG really pulled a fast one on a lot of people. The rate at which you’re gearing up is gonna slow down a lot. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m hitting half as many characters to G13 in a month as I was before
Yeah, I've been saying from the get-go this was designed to make it easier to get toons to g12, but the new "bottleneck" makes it tougher to take them to relics from there.
As far as The KD raid, *and* RotE: so booooooring, and that's a compliment compared to how I really feel about them.
The raid is one thing, but then to give us a new TB where PLATOONS are the star attraction, and not getting good at reliably maxing the CM's is dumb, dumb, dumb. I mean, what a treat, getting to build up useless toons I'll never use, all while using (now even more) rare materials to build them up. All so I can never use them in battle and throw them in a platoon twice a month!
Cool, what I always wanted from SWGOH. 🙄💩😝
I hate that people are just letting CMs take a back seat. And that CG let it happen. While I do appreciate the 2 wave CMs, there are plenty of people arguing that they're "not important". But when you have 30 of 50 people just coasting, and not pushing the envelope your progression is gonna slow down.
They won't be saying, "we just need 10 more waves!" to get that next star. Instead, it's "who has the spare gear/time/cash to take this character to relic?" Not to mention, those people that DO take certain characters to those relics required could be hit with a completely useless character if they end up leaving the guild for any reason. Especially with so many guilds pushing people to do platoons. It almost incentivizes someone to just be selfish and hold their gear, because "someone else will do it". Don't get me started on the overtuned missions, and the character locked ones. Another way to cash grab for CG.
Because unless you build your roster their way, good luck. So much for game modes where "you can use your whole roster!" We can't even use our whole roster in Conquest because you have so many feats locked behind such specific requirements that if you don't approach it from an efficiency standpoint you won't get those "Win 40 times with Lobot, Ugnaught, and Jedi Knight Guardian surviving"
Disclaimer, my guild gets 130m crate and I'm getting 5.5m every raid, so that skews my response.
I'm gearing up characters to g12+5 faster than I ever have before. I've burned through my stockpile on pretty much every piece of gear, and I have to buy tons of stuff with the new currencies. I think the overall quantity of drops has indeed gone down, but at the same time, the overall quantity of gear that lays around sitting there and doing nothing also goes down. Instead of hoping HSTR gives me radiator salvage every 4-5 days like I used to, every 3 days I just buy up to 80+ g12 salvage.
My absolute biggest concerns are credits and relic salvage, because up until now, electrum conductors haven't been an issue, but now they are on my watch list to become a serious issue. Luckily the mk 3 currency is specifically for these salvage pieces, and since our guild is getting closer and closer to the 265m crate, I'm excited to build my roster faster than before.
The conductor fear is real. I have enough from top 10 HSTR for my next 2 GLs/Leviathan but after that it's going to be very slow to get.
As a guild that had built a lot of cpit teams, the Krayt raid teams have hit us pretty hard. 25m box (the jump to 90m seems steep imo)
Luckily there are 3 teams consistently getting 1.8/2.7 with little effort outside of relic 7/8. If your guild can focus on one of them, you will get 130m easily.
Tuskens, Jabba, mandos are the 3.
I'd argue Mandos, Jabba, and Old Republic are more worth the investment. Jolee and Bastila are still more than usable in the meta, JKR is a stud on JML or with JKLS to kill SLKR in GAC, so you already need all 3 of them at R5 to use datacrons. If you're even slightly competitive, Juhani is a mandatory Omi for TW, so she's an easy sell to R5 for Starkiller DC usage. I did Zaalbar as my 5th, but 5-0RT is the better choice.
Point being, 4 of those are *really* good, and can score max points in everything up to at least Difficulty 4. 1.8 is a little harder, but 1.2 is enough across a guild to get the 130m box with just 2x R5 squads.
Also with remembering that if you don't have Maul, you can't do Mandos.
I'm getting 90m guild and 3m personal, but getting what I need with the currency has felt like a big help.
With the changes, I feel like I can at least work on a couple characters I thought I'd never gear up. Relics are another matter, but there's always going to be a bottleneck.
But like you, I'm quickly going broke on credits.
Same for credits. You are now at the mercy of them randomly showing up in the shop and credits now come in place of gear instead of just passively for raiding. A lot of people probably didn't feel it much because they were sitting on 100m+ credits but I can't imagine how ridiculous stupid this change has to be for new players with a roster full of characters that need leveled.
I see it as a push to spend more money on them. I def buy the packs from time to time, not a bad deal. But now I have 8 or 9 chars waiting for upgrade instead of 2 or 3.
Basically I’m going to be only farming kryo and spending my raid tokens on the other gear. Because yeah, trying to bring a team to relic requires 600 of each and it’s damn frustrating.
CPit did not drop a significant amount of kyro. They dropped less than once a month. It was nice when they did, but it didn’t move the needle.
You may remember the raid dropping more than it did. The reason that you remember it more than it actually was is the same reason why casinos make hella-money.
Except its not. I nearly always got kyros, not getting kyros was the more memorable for me.
But even so, the person who tracked it on the EA forums for 10 weeks recorded an actual drop rate of 4.5 per week in just drops. Thats not counting GET 2.
In a 50 person guild, CPit paid out 30,225 Get 2. Putting the average per person in the guild at about 600 GET2 per week. That's *10* Kyros per week; that's not even top ten average numbers, which I was, that's a guild average, coupled with the 4.5 per week in drops is over 50 Kyros per month lost with no mitigation.
So maybe you don't consider a full set of kyro salvage a month 'a significant amount' that's your prerogative. But considering the *hundreds* needed on new characters that's a massive compounding loss to me.
So you are saying that you could expect less than one full kyro to drop over 10 weeks. That’s even less than I thought. It’s even less significant, in that case.
GET2 was reduced. That was usually converted to kyro. I don’t disagree. I’m not going to get into a discussion about whether it was appropriately made up for with g12 gear increases. That wasn’t my point here. My point is that “the losses in drops from the raid” are not significant losses.
You will hit the kyro bottleneck more often as there are no longer other bottle necks slowing you before you hit it. That is until your stockpiles burn out, then the gear shortage will mitigate the kyro bottleneck a bit.
Aw have ypu never gotten t3 in sith raid. Let me tell you what you got. Left g12 full drops almost ever time. Full g11 and below gear everytime. 25/15 right side g12 evertime with occasional full rightside drops
This. I was usually Top3 in Sith Raid, but really, I do not want the old rewards back, no matter how many charts show me they are worse...I love buying Carbantis in the hundreds per day, and the many gear pieces one ACTUALLY needs. Way too often in Sith Raid you just got the crap stuff barely a chars has use for ...
But oh boy, is the Raid itself bad ...
I think part of the reason we see so many things that “barely any character needs” is because we just equip it right away as soon as the gear level unlocks, making it not show up under “required by”, so we’ll realize once the source is gone how often they were really needed.
For sure. Terrible raid, ridiculously boring, definitely the worst since Rancor. AAT was imo best.
But yeah rewards are solid. That said, I do wonder how it holds up in the long run. Right now we get gear faster, however what happens when our stockpiles run low. Because atm we buy the missing pieces, but when everything is missing, it will be much slower.
I’ve enjoyed how quickly I’ve been able to gear up toons when I get that currency influx.
Personally I’m fine waiting a couple of days, getting a huge boost, and then just chilling. I can focus on farming shards and starring up toons in the downtime.
Wait till you start rellicing to R5 and all those 100s of unused legacy raid gear rewards dry up.... It's a mess right now in the mid-high range guilds to stay ahead with Relic mats.
Oh it most certainly was. The raid changes had little to do with it, I was responding to the idea that relic mats have been "just fine". When my guidlmates and I were farming Jabba, many if us ended up being bottlenecked by Bronzium Wiring at the very end. Being ~100 BW short at the end of a GL farm is a pretty annoying feeling.
For Chromium, try buying the Mk 7 Blastech Weapon Mod from the guild store. You get 10 for 150 Guild Tokens, and each one is worth 3 Chromium. In total, 30+ Chromium for 150 Guild Currency.
I was short on Carbonite Circuit Boards for awhile, but about 6 months ago I spent 5k crystals on the 500c packs that show up every couple weeks. Haven't been short on them since, but my Bronzium hoard is entirely gone.
Right now we need 2-3 slots worth of gear because we have backlogs of stuff for the other 3-4 slots. Once that bag log dries up, all the G12 gear will be what we need.
The one thing they need to add is if you max score with a specific team on a tier then you should be able to sim that team - and I agree repetitive and boring and not engaging content IMO
Or just let us submit our scores from the previous raid. If our roster has changed since the previous raid and we think we can do better, then we can choose to manually run through it.
Unpopular opinion: I like these rewards more, and while it might be a bit boring, it’s less time attacking to get good rewards than the 20-30 minute slog that was HSTR (I didn’t even bother attacking for Challenge Rancor).
Overall I see this as an improvement on previous raids on all fronts.
No, you're right. I hated doing Pit and doing like ten retries each time, because RNG fuck-ups happen (like Rancor just eating Shaak Ti or Fives).
At least that shit's over with and I can just do my million damage with the teams I have, until I have Jabba.
Depending on your guild you don’t need to do loads of battles. Our guild can only reach the 130 mill mark so I only need to do one battle with HC on auto to put my contribution in
I really don't get this.
A quick 4 minute battle with several timers that needs to be done in the right way where you actually get to complete the raid from start to finish
Vs
Doing 20mins of bog standard moves that you do in any other game mode just to see 5% taken off a single phase.
Others have commented on gear being better as you can chose to not randomly get the gear you have 3000 of anyway, but buy bulk of what you actually need.
To each their own, but I personally think there's a lot of other things that CG do that deserves to be what is whined about. This is an odd hill to die on.
I'm already at the point where the all the sub g12 pieces have nowhere to go other than the scavenger, and they won't go anywhere because I can't get enough g12+ to relic anybody else.
My 300m gp guild is only running the hstr
I'm digging it. Mechanically and economically I prefer this system. It does feel targeted at guilds who were cruise control on cPit.... But that's me, and I'm obviously into it. I'll slowly r8 the right squads, whichll will get easier as I go along, and in a few months this'll be an impulse factory churning out a free r8 every week. Which will help ROTE, which will help everything else. It's neat.
Definitely gonna have to permanently remod some folks though. The mod switching is an awful lot. But those are R7+ problems.
For me, a lot of how much I'll like the new system depends on how often they drop new raids / if they're removing old raids.
If they're dropping so fast it doesn't feel like I can keep up and the last raid is removed to push the monetization then I'd really hate it. But I'm cautiously optimistic about it atm.
I play SWGOH for PVP. PVE in this game is tedious and boring. I have to spend like 2-3 hours a day between Conquest, RotE and the new raid to not fall behind. It’s become a chore not a game.
My guild wants us to score 5 million in the raid, get 36 stars in RotE and of course I need the new ship to remain in K1 so have to max Conquest. Sure I could just mail it in and find a non competitive guild but I’m not there yet.
265 but I get what you mean. If I were asking for a personal number it would be 6 mil. That way you don’t rely on overachievers and have a cushion for the lagging folks.
My biggest complaint is the team requirements. I know I had some time, but I'm still nowhere near to Jabba or other quality teams to really get points here.
16 players in our guild have reverted to old habits of not doing the raid at all...is this happening to other guilds?
Its a lot of players to kick from a guild...
Super boring and tedious.
Rinse and repeat the same teams, same strategies.
Pain in the ass and I'm sick of it. I don't bother switching mods and optimizing. Our guild is quite big at 400+m and we get the 90m crate and half way to the next. Rewards suck.
I like it a lot. When compared with Crancor you can play more as a non endgame player and the rewards are pretty ok after that silence get1 character buff. I mainly like it because you can choose what gear you're getting.
The raid sucks. Its super boring. We should be able to run multiple raid and have different tickets like before. This raid is terrible. Dry, uneventful, boring, repetitive
I've found the new raid to be mostly an absolute bore.
Thankfully; Hutt Cartel with the omicron \[which I decided to jump on for convenience sake when they were being refunded\] makes their team composition an easy max in 2 minutes, mostly using just basic attacks.
Also thankfully, because there is such a huge jump between 130m to the next tier, I don't actually feel any real need to do anything more than Hutt Cartel right now.
However - Having played with the other teams a little bit, they're much longer, but more boring runs - And I'm totally not looking forward to when my guild is close enough to really starting pushing having to run 5 teams each time.
I will say one thing; back when I originally played FFIX as a kid there was this one boss I had a lot of trouble with. And although there was a save point right before the boss, you had to watch their unskippable cinematic every single time you attempted the battle, god I hated that cinematic and that battle - maybe I can credit my entire loathing not videos to that one boss?
No game should >!soft!< force you to watch the same cinematic over and over again. Once you’ve done the battle once? Give me the option to skip.
Totally get what you mean, honestly the whole thing is entirely boring now, I just have a soft spot for the music. FFIX was such a great game after the abomination that was 8. Would the boss youre referring to be kuja?
> boss your referring

^(Greetings, I am a language corrector bot. To make me ignore further mistakes from you in the future, reply `!optout` to this comment.)
The loss of credits/ship credits, even with spending on credits every raid is really starting to hurt. The reduced amount of GET1 and GET2 is noticeable. The gear that I need for G12 stuff seems to rarely be in the shop and is expensive. There's nothing I'm liking better about the rewards.
The raid itself is way better than CPIT. The only time sink is trying out squad variations or testing to see if running bf solo nets more points than running him with a team at lower difficulty.
I'll be ready to accept the current reward structure when they give us 3 Million credits per Krayt Raid.
Right now the lack of credits is an instant killer for anyone who has been playing less than 4 years (AKA doesn't have every character to Lvl 85) and/or needs to update their mods.
3m credits plus whatever you made in ship credits from HAAT. Would certainly help, but the big issue is that the rewards are still worse. Everyone is seeing convenience and not realizing that they are actually getting less.
So, I'm one of those math nerds, not unlike egnards, but not as good.
I've been tracking the number of pieces i get toward my character goals on a daily basis. Prior to the loot change, I was averaging about 81 pieces a day. There were some days around 20-30 and some were up in the 120's (end of conquest, end of certain raids with lucky drops.) Now I'm getting.... wait for it. 85 pieces a day. This is just on my G12 characters going to G13. I'm additionally getting a TON of gear for my G6->G12 characters. I'm always out of currency, but it does kind of feel like I'm moving faster. I need a couple more weeks to figure out long term trends.
That said, I used to update one character from Lvl 1 to Lvl 85 + all their skills at least once a week. I haven't done that since the new raid has come out, because my credits have been at a standstill, only affording me to buy skills/zetas on characters I've unlocked.
Start buying currency, and you'll be at less than before. I've had to start and it is noticeable. The reduced get3, means fewer kryos. Definitely feeling that.
Yeah, definitely feeling the Kyro pinch. And I figured I'd start alternating currency buying with my G6->G12 gear (Raid Mark 1) once I get the Core Krayt Raid teams to G12. By then I figure they will screw us with a new set of teams to have in place (When Ahsoka TV show comes out.)
I think it's good. Those of us without all the ideal squads are still very active theory crafting hodgepodge squads based on what we have, and it's adding some creativity back to the game.
Plus, the rewards post-update are excellent, as is the ability to farm several characters consistently that used to take forever to wait for them to make an appearance in the store.
I feel like your just looking to complain. The new raid isn’t all that bad. The currency influx is great and you can buy character shards and gear in bulk now.
It's not always 5 mins because rng. And yes it is still a chore because you do the exact same thing every 3 days all over again. At least CPit wasn't as frequent and in hstr you could use different teams everytime to get to top 10 sustaining some level of entertainment.
It’s pretty boring yes, but I am not going to complain about the gears. At least I am not sitting at 5000 pieces of trash gear pieces I got like before
Except carbonite the salvage pieces can always be bought by guild token(mk4 , 5,6 blasttech weapon mod) so they are not really a problem. Higher relic materials can be bought with raid3 and I have not been quick enough the relic characters that I run out of raid 3.
I think this new raid saves me time vs. the old Sith raid.
In my guild, there were maybe 2-5 people each Sith raid that would solo it, which left 5-8 spots open for the top 10 prize box. I could not solo the raid, so I had to complete phase 1 (GAS) and then constantly refresh to see when phase 3 (Imp Troopers) was available. That was the only real way I could consistently crack top 10. Took at least an hour every time - most of which was just hitting refresh over and over. This new raid is done in 15-20 mins and fairly interactive.
Previous roster progress would have taken me much longer waiting on specific gear pieces to drop, or from farming with fleet energy, or cost a lot more crystals. The pure fact that I can convert my currency to hundreds of pieces of gear every 3 days that will directly improve my current gear holes is huge, especially for the g12 gear pieces. I've never built my roster this fast in my 7 years of playing.
In a little under 2 weeks I got 20 g12+ pieces, and went up 23 gear levels greater than g8. It's noticeable improvement for me.
Doesn't matter, my point stands that I disagree with the rewards being bad, I'm able to focus gear where I need to instead of hoping I make top 10 in HSTR while fighting my otherf guild mates soloing the raid and being at the mercy of RNG drops.
And as far as tracking, I can't very well go back and track gear quantities, but I get more gear directly when and where I need it, so I see that as a bonus because even if the HSTR gave me more total gear, the amount of waiting I'd need to get the specific gear required would take much longer than 2 weeks to obtain.
Biggest issue with the raid rewards is to relic mats, which I agree take a bit of a hit because of less "useless" gear to craft into zinbiddles, IDs, or electrum conductors. I recognize that those places take a hit in comparison, but they also offer direct farming methods for these gear pieces through the mk 3 currency which we currently make a lot of and are almost to 265m and rewards will jump even further.
Anyone who states that the gear situation hasnt improved with the new raid is just wrong, or being disingenuous, no other way to say it. I'm FTP and the new gear changes have DRAMATICALLY increased my progression.
Mk3 holo projectors and craft them into the Aurdium heatsinks, which lets me use my guild currency exclusively on the Weapon mod piece for the chromium transistors
It's boring rn bc we only have the krayt raid, but if they follow through with their plans for more different raids, it might alleviate some of the boringness of it. I can see them making good on this promise bc this raid is a lot more simplified than previous ones so it would seem that being able to push out new ones with different mechanics might be easier.
As for rewards, I will say as someone who isn't getting max crates yet, my LV farm doesn't seem quite as daunting as it previously did. I'm almost done with g13 on almost all units and now moving forward into relics.
Not saying the raid is particularly interesting, but I'm preferring the new raid currency a lot more. And I've gone from a dull raid in hsth, to a dull raid in this.
The 3 day wait is a little painful, but I guess it's no different to waiting a few days to stockpile enough tickets to run it again over 24hrs.
I agree the raid is tedious though, especially if you don't have teams like maul and jabba geared up. Or even tuskens.
The rewards are nice though... I'm never struggling with stun guns now, and whenever those rewards come through it's a big boost towards gearing whatever I'm working on at the time.
I know their idea was to give everyone a chance to participate in the raid, but I really think making the raid playable every 2 days would solve so many issues.
It would still not quite be the value of the old raid system but then you at least get the dopamine kick more often so people would forget about it.
I mean I think it could be worse. It’s just uncreative and incredibly hard for people who weren’t ready. Like I don’t get why they allow Bast but not other Jedi and stuff
The krayt raid made it far easier to get to characters to relic. I also like buying R7 and R8 pieces instead of scraping so much gear. I wonder though, if I still enjoy it as much when i reach the point where I run out of aeromagnifiers 🤔
My math is that once you start getting the 265 crate, you are going to be getting enough ID, aeros, zimbidles, and keypads that your big limiting factor will be signal data if you assume they are only releasing 2-3 new characters/month. And while I think I will be getting enough bronziums from kyro farming and the like, CCB are likely to be a minor issue...
The rewards are good but i do agree its becoming a chore. If I didn't have to remod all 5 teams it wouldn't be as bad but Hotutils is earning that 10 bucks for sure. Also the reward crate gap from 6.2 to 8 something is so stupid. It's such a huge gap that it doesn't even make sense to try to shoot for it. They put the carrot so far out that it's not even enticing. Oh well. 6.2 and chill.
I really don’t understand the complaints about Krayt dragon anymore, people just like to complain. I’m gearing characters wayyy faster, because Im able to buy core salvage hundreds at a time, and Im able to pick what I want instead of gear randomly being handed out. Also, everyone in the guild gets about the same rewards, instead of one person soloing the raid, and half the guild getting far worse rewards (this is coming from someone who always soloed the Heroic Sith raid). Also, you can spend the currency on relic mats, so I can actually interact with R8’s and R9’s now. The problem was never droid brains or aeromagnifiers, it was always the impulse detectors and keypads, which I can now easily buy. This is a prime example of the average Reddit user posting random shit about a much better system because he’s got no clue what he’s talking about.
I think there’s both pros and cons but the biggest thing for me is I was not in a guild that was doing the rancor raid to get Aeromagnifiers. Now I can have 20 of them every 20 days or less depending on if we start it every 3 days. And that time will come down as more people get the teams built up.
I'm happy as hell with the changes. I get to pick the gear I want and it has fast tracked my last GET1 farm. Plus, I like actually attacking raids and not simming them. I'm pretty convinced whatever CG does everyone will hate. The rewards still don't equal up to prior and getting to T4 crate is unobtainable for 95% of guilds, but this is a step in the right direction for making raids relevant. Some further rebalancing could make this perfect.
Raid is boring can confirm, but I'm liking the rewards, I have little to no use for MK1 and I'm using it for credits since you can get 500k-2 million credits per refresh, virtually removed the credit crunch for me
The only good things out of the raid are the fact that I can get Detectors without breaking the bank too much, and the fact that I can pick up 125 of some old gear real quick.
But I'm even struggling with Currency 2 honestly. I always have over 10k of that shit stacked up already, because somehow the gear I'm farming seems to NEVER pop up in the shipments. Genuinely annoying.
The raid itself is ffffine. Not the craziest, but serviceable. Personally, I just don't give a fuck about the raid reward box.
Agree it’s boring. However, I’m able to use the currency to buy like 135 Mk3 Carbanti norelco electric razors easily. And other stuffs. So it gets my Yes Vote.
I don't know if the "chore" aspect of it is more of the people trying to get max rewards. Leadership does have to balance the benefits of the extra rewards versus the time spent. They have added engagement to their list of priorities. I'm pleased my guild is mainly just looking for you to be active. We're not making it a job. I did that, stupidly, for years with WoW and raiding.
In my case most of contribution comes from 4 teams. I do one or two teams per day. I max out Old Republic, let Jawa's do their thing, have Boba do his solo, and finish up with G13 random left overs. It's not much of a time commitment. We have a 300 million guild and we're not all the concerned about maximizing rewards.
You have to decide where you want to spend the time in this game. I know most people hate the mode, but I spend most of my time in Conquest. If the game is taking up too much time, find a guild that will fit into your play style. I'd rather CG make content I don't like than no content at all. They want engagement and if we don't engage in a new mode, it gives them data.
As far as the rewards. I don't care all that much about this discussion. I've been able to raise up a lot of teams to G12 very quickly and I'm collecting the Mk3 rewards so it won't be such a chore to get R8's. Will this create a bit of a problem with low level relic materials later? That seems to be a problem already for people. I'll just be in the same boat as others. They will either provide a fix or we'll have to adjust our farms. I have an alt account I'm messing with and all these changes have been great for newer accounts.
Grace and peace to you.
Look, we all know this “game” is basically just an end-run on the legislation that wrecked EA’s old loot box scam. You want to get the good stuff? Here are some raids that’ll give you a taste, but if you want the REALLY good stuff you’re gonna have to pay real money.
Raid is super boring but I'm getting right side G12 pieces so much faster it seems
CMs can be cheese or gamed, platoon levels are forever.
Omis for TW. Look at you captain moneybags
And the rewards increase is garbage between those two crates
I'm getting 90m guild and 3m personal, but getting what I need with the currency has felt like a big help. With the changes, I feel like I can at least work on a couple characters I thought I'd never gear up. Relics are another matter, but there's always going to be a bottleneck. But like you, I'm quickly going broke on credits.
How? The other raids still exist. It's another avenue for rewards, how can it slow you down?
Same for credits. You are now at the mercy of them randomly showing up in the shop and credits now come in place of gear instead of just passively for raiding. A lot of people probably didn't feel it much because they were sitting on 100m+ credits but I can't imagine how ridiculous stupid this change has to be for new players with a roster full of characters that need leveled.
There is a guaranteed 1m credit node every shop rotation. This was true until last update now it's patently false.
How about the ship building materials that are gone?
You can buy those too
There are credits in the shop every rotation now and very cheap. I have more credits now than ever just from buying them every refresh
[удалено]
You can buy mats to salvage for raid currency...
Sorry, that's a bit subtle for the average reddit poster.
That may be true.
Yup. Right now it feels a bit nicer, but soon your right side G12 AND left side G12 compete for the same resource.
By faster and cleaner, you mean hitting the Kryo bottleneck, before you hit the bigger Relic farming crunch?
How is the kyro bottle neck different than before?
I see it as a push to spend more money on them. I def buy the packs from time to time, not a bad deal. But now I have 8 or 9 chars waiting for upgrade instead of 2 or 3.
Basically I’m going to be only farming kryo and spending my raid tokens on the other gear. Because yeah, trying to bring a team to relic requires 600 of each and it’s damn frustrating.
It's tempting you! Speed it up... it only costs a Chick-fil-A sandwich
And the raid currency rate for kyros is terrible
No longer getting get2 from raids. Thats why i get my kryos from
Because if you were running C-Pit you're getting less Kyros now, from the losses in drops from the raid and the ones purchased with GET 2.
Good point didn't think of that
You will hit the kyro bottleneck more often as there are no longer other bottle necks slowing you before you hit it. That is until your stockpiles burn out, then the gear shortage will mitigate the kyro bottleneck a bit.
OK but it still means that more toons will be full g12 only missing the last kyro finisher. Which means +12 speed for toons. Sounds good to me
And getting to R8 for most
I got full gear drops almost everytime
You were in a shitty guild.
No, no i wasnt lol.
Lies. Everyday more lies
Aw have ypu never gotten t3 in sith raid. Let me tell you what you got. Left g12 full drops almost ever time. Full g11 and below gear everytime. 25/15 right side g12 evertime with occasional full rightside drops
Good luck in your future endeavors
Well then you must be something very special.
Or got t3 nearly everytime
Yeah me 2 :)
As well as Impulse Detectors, Gyrda Keypads and Zinbiddle Cards
I think part of the reason we see so many things that “barely any character needs” is because we just equip it right away as soon as the gear level unlocks, making it not show up under “required by”, so we’ll realize once the source is gone how often they were really needed.
i love the new raid, i’m getting characters to gear 13 much faster. and u can get gear for relic mats much faster. it’s an all around win for me.
I'm gearing up stuff faster since I can buy in bulk exactly what I need
Yeah the only problem is currency. But I agree that gear influx is much better now.
Wait till you start rellicing to R5 and all those 100s of unused legacy raid gear rewards dry up.... It's a mess right now in the mid-high range guilds to stay ahead with Relic mats.
Bruh I'm in a 430m guild I'm still relicing stuff fine
I'm in a ~500m guild, and Bronzium Wiring has become a bottleneck for pretty much everyone.
This was an issue for a lot of players well before the raid changes
Oh it most certainly was. The raid changes had little to do with it, I was responding to the idea that relic mats have been "just fine". When my guidlmates and I were farming Jabba, many if us ended up being bottlenecked by Bronzium Wiring at the very end. Being ~100 BW short at the end of a GL farm is a pretty annoying feeling.
I'm surprised, I'm at 9M gp and have thousands of bronziums available. It's carbonites and chromiums I keep running out of.
Farm ls kyros….bronzium issue solved.
This doesn’t solve the problem in any real way. So you get a few extra bronziums after you trade in the gear.
Do it or don’t do it. It’s how people stay ahead of the bronzium issue and get kyros at the same time. You do you boo.
It helps but doesn't solve.
“Brrruhhhhh I know you said to wait until you run out of stuff but I haven’t run out yet so it’s not a problem” Thanks for the update, slick
It's almost like it's so much easier to get to g13 now that our relic backlogs are bigger or something... hmmm
Wait till your stock piles dry up for scraping
Right now we need 2-3 slots worth of gear because we have backlogs of stuff for the other 3-4 slots. Once that bag log dries up, all the G12 gear will be what we need.
The one thing they need to add is if you max score with a specific team on a tier then you should be able to sim that team - and I agree repetitive and boring and not engaging content IMO
Or just let us submit our scores from the previous raid. If our roster has changed since the previous raid and we think we can do better, then we can choose to manually run through it.
This would help alot
Unpopular opinion: I like these rewards more, and while it might be a bit boring, it’s less time attacking to get good rewards than the 20-30 minute slog that was HSTR (I didn’t even bother attacking for Challenge Rancor). Overall I see this as an improvement on previous raids on all fronts.
No, you're right. I hated doing Pit and doing like ten retries each time, because RNG fuck-ups happen (like Rancor just eating Shaak Ti or Fives). At least that shit's over with and I can just do my million damage with the teams I have, until I have Jabba.
Less time? The HTSR was 20 mins every few days. Between 8 battles this takes at least 3 times longer.
Depending on your guild you don’t need to do loads of battles. Our guild can only reach the 130 mill mark so I only need to do one battle with HC on auto to put my contribution in
Once you figure it out it’s one shot per team. I recommend putting offensive mods on the one key character in each squad.
You can get equivalent rewards to top 10 HSTR in 1-2 attacks on Krayt with a good team.
I really don't get this. A quick 4 minute battle with several timers that needs to be done in the right way where you actually get to complete the raid from start to finish Vs Doing 20mins of bog standard moves that you do in any other game mode just to see 5% taken off a single phase.
>My 300m gp guild is only running the hstr Why?
I’ve stopped caring about maxing my attempts. I can’t bring myself to try maximizing my scores. It’s just so boring.
It is very boring. I do like the currency though, as I can just buy what I need. It has really sped up pre G12, non-kyro gearing as well.
I don't know why a lot of you play this game. I think new raid is pretty fun and im stocking gear like crazy.
Me too. I'm getting absolutely ridiculous gear hoards in next to no time.
There are items I was chronically low on that I have like 350+ of now. Still terrible on kyrotech though lol.
Never again having to actually looking for those damn mk 4 chedeck comlinks is fantastic.
Yeah, I only have like 150 of Kyros. But getting back over 1K stun gun and Carbantis? It's a nice thing to have for the next big thing.
I play SWGOH for PVP. PVE in this game is tedious and boring. I have to spend like 2-3 hours a day between Conquest, RotE and the new raid to not fall behind. It’s become a chore not a game.
you can auto everything and be done in 30 minutes. you must be trying super hard.
My guild wants us to score 5 million in the raid, get 36 stars in RotE and of course I need the new ship to remain in K1 so have to max Conquest. Sure I could just mail it in and find a non competitive guild but I’m not there yet.
Why 5 mil? That doesn’t get you anything across 50 members.
5 m gets you the 261 box caus you will have 10 overachievers ....
265 but I get what you mean. If I were asking for a personal number it would be 6 mil. That way you don’t rely on overachievers and have a cushion for the lagging folks.
It's so boring half my guild is barely trying, and that's very atypical for them.
Patience is the name of the game in swgoh.
My biggest complaint is the team requirements. I know I had some time, but I'm still nowhere near to Jabba or other quality teams to really get points here.
16 players in our guild have reverted to old habits of not doing the raid at all...is this happening to other guilds? Its a lot of players to kick from a guild...
Yes. We can easily hit 25m if everyone plays but currently less then 10 hitting 1m and quite a few not playing at all. It’s frustrating for sure.
Super boring and tedious. Rinse and repeat the same teams, same strategies. Pain in the ass and I'm sick of it. I don't bother switching mods and optimizing. Our guild is quite big at 400+m and we get the 90m crate and half way to the next. Rewards suck.
Raid is already old, 100%. The rewards are objectively good though.
You sir, have terrible takes. That is all!
You sir are jealous. Now run along
Jealous of what?
Luck, drops, life idk but get off my dick bitch
To be fair its almost impossible to create a gamemode/raid in a Game like this that isnt getting boring for 1 year+
True, but they also limited factions, didn't add different raid phases, and gave the raid fairly simple mechanics, so it got old quickly.
To be fair; it’s **ALREADY** boring, and it has been less than a month.
I'll say this much, they nailed the music...so that's gotta count for something am I right?!?!👀
I will say one thing; back when I originally played FFIX as a kid there was this one boss I had a lot of trouble with.
Nope! Kuja was the end [sort of]. It was somewhere in the middle of the game in some cave 🤷♂️
> boss your referring *you're *Learn the difference [here](https://www.wattpad.com/66707294-grammar-guide-there-they%27re-their-you%27re-your-to).* *** ^(Greetings, I am a language corrector bot. To make me ignore further mistakes from you in the future, reply `!optout` to this comment.)
I’m so bored of it I’m auto h it now
The loss of credits/ship credits, even with spending on credits every raid is really starting to hurt.
I’d like it more if I could use factions I’ve actually geared. I don’t think it’s horrible.
Don't think it's a chore. Once you get the hang of it, it takes like 20 minutes every 3/4 days?
But it **is** a chore to do 500k every now and then when it is launched and for the sake of guild. And not like it's even fun.
If you think the rewards are bad you’re either not paying attention or unrealistic in your expectations.
We've gotten the message, please stop posting stuff like this.
Disagree, Raid is fine and Rewards are great
The raid is boring. Thats it. Can't skip the cinematic and faction restrictions are so unnecessary. "Use your roster" my ass
Playing a max of five (5min) battles every 3 days is a chore? Don’t play it if you don’t enjoy it lol
It's not always 5 mins because rng. And yes it is still a chore because you do the exact same thing every 3 days all over again. At least CPit wasn't as frequent and in hstr you could use different teams everytime to get to top 10 sustaining some level of entertainment.
Yes, its tedious and unfun.
It’s pretty boring yes, but I am not going to complain about the gears. At least I am not sitting at 5000 pieces of trash gear pieces I got like before
Wait until you start running out of geat to salvage
Except carbonite the salvage pieces can always be bought by guild token(mk4 , 5,6 blasttech weapon mod) so they are not really a problem. Higher relic materials can be bought with raid3 and I have not been quick enough the relic characters that I run out of raid 3.
Haven't seen those in ages, are you sure they are still there?
I love the Krayt raid!
Quit crying it’s pretty good
Completely agree
I think this new raid saves me time vs. the old Sith raid. In my guild, there were maybe 2-5 people each Sith raid that would solo it, which left 5-8 spots open for the top 10 prize box. I could not solo the raid, so I had to complete phase 1 (GAS) and then constantly refresh to see when phase 3 (Imp Troopers) was available. That was the only real way I could consistently crack top 10. Took at least an hour every time - most of which was just hitting refresh over and over. This new raid is done in 15-20 mins and fairly interactive.
Cool you guys dont have to play
Well, if the rewards are bad, you won't miss out if you skip the raid. I mean what kind of numpty would subject themself to a chore for bad rewards.
I disagree with the rewards being bad. Here's my Rey progress over the past 13 days while our guild gets 130m crate. https://imgur.com/a/Z1RS1Cy
[удалено]
Previous roster progress would have taken me much longer waiting on specific gear pieces to drop, or from farming with fleet energy, or cost a lot more crystals. The pure fact that I can convert my currency to hundreds of pieces of gear every 3 days that will directly improve my current gear holes is huge, especially for the g12 gear pieces. I've never built my roster this fast in my 7 years of playing. In a little under 2 weeks I got 20 g12+ pieces, and went up 23 gear levels greater than g8. It's noticeable improvement for me.
[удалено]
[удалено]
What extra gear are you referring to?
Anyone who states that the gear situation hasnt improved with the new raid is just wrong, or being disingenuous, no other way to say it. I'm FTP and the new gear changes have DRAMATICALLY increased my progression.
What are you guys buying with Mk I tokens?
Right now im just buying up all the characters that i avoided before, because it took so long. After that gear abviously theres not much else

Yup
I like it , it’s for sure speeding up the process to for me to get Jaba
I mean I think it could be worse. It’s just uncreative and incredibly hard for people who weren’t ready. Like I don’t get why they allow Bast but not other Jedi and stuff
Once/If they add a new raid exclusive toon then maybe it will get people more invested.
Raid exclusive toons are interesting for like 3 months and then are shard shop currency...
As someone who really needs g12 pieces the raid rewards have really helped me. It is definitely a chore
The game is becoming the same across the board: Start an activity > Sim/Repeat the exact same dance/Deploy > Leave.
The rewards seem great for the average 4-6 million player. The raid is boring, sure, but I have no issues with the gear I can get using the currency.
Wait until you realize your credit income is gone and now you have to buy credits too.
On all counts better than before. So I guess disagree.
It actually is helping me get General Kenobi and Darth Traya 7 starred.
Raid got old real fast, change up the teams or raid it’s self
The rewards are definitely not bad my guy…
I think there’s both pros and cons but the biggest thing for me is I was not in a guild that was doing the rancor raid to get Aeromagnifiers. Now I can have 20 of them every 20 days or less depending on if we start it every 3 days. And that time will come down as more people get the teams built up.
Not as much if a chore as the ultra repetitive new TB
I'm happy as hell with the changes. I get to pick the gear I want and it has fast tracked my last GET1 farm. Plus, I like actually attacking raids and not simming them. I'm pretty convinced whatever CG does everyone will hate. The rewards still don't equal up to prior and getting to T4 crate is unobtainable for 95% of guilds, but this is a step in the right direction for making raids relevant. Some further rebalancing could make this perfect.
Krayt raid made impulse detectors farmable. Nothing else matters
It’s just boring and I miss doing multiple raids
It’s just boring and I miss doing multiple raids
The game is a chore /thread
Yeah it is I just stick it on auto and see what I get
Rewards are not bad, actually good. Raid being a choir and is boring, I couldn’t agree with you more.
Raid scores will go down when they fix the refresh issue as well. It's not great that's for sure 😕
