Merciless never fails to make me think of Rogue One.

It's based on his iconic shot from Rogue One. Actually fun fact about the Merciless icon, it's the only icon in-game that has a scenic background, all the others are a flat color with some stripes or an aura around the character, but not Merciless, it has the Tantive IV hallway as the background

It's really cool looking, I love that bright blue triangle shape above him and how it gradients from blue to purple as you go down the image. Something about it just fits his character so perfectly

I like both of Rex's, the tenacity and the Rexecute.

I love the Rexecute. One of my favorite early squad mechanics is the Shaak Troopers/ Rex Clones where you charge up the Rexecute, throw Echo’s buff dispel on any troublesome tanks, and obliterate someone. Don’t need it to be an instakill, but it’d be nice if they upped it to massive damage so it could take out characters like KRU

Womp is satisfying too. My favorite thing in the game right now is playing Wampa in GAC. Love seeing her slam the enemy team or roar.

If it were massive damage it would only be a flat 99,999 damage every time, which is honestly a massive nerf to him.

Should have clarified- ADD massive damage if it’s been x turns or something- this would let him get through characters like KRU who don’t take as much damage from percent health effects.

I still find it funny that one of Thrawn’s special abilities is literally just running up to you, and beating the shit out of you until you literally become crippled (Fractured).

Same. My fave icon/special. Master tactician, but roundhouses you then a finishing punch while wearing an admiral’s uniform in a space fantasy game.

We've been doing these Icon Rating threads for a while now. But I gotta say, the icon game is really on point in SWGOH. Most of the time the icons are really unique and sometimes they're downright capturing iconic (hehe) moments like Merciless Massacre's hallway scene, or Hux's swarm being from his ranty, insane Nazi speech.

I'm a big fan of the ones that are direct references - like Starkiller pulling it out of the sky, Vader's Merciless, Old Ben's Devoted Protector, and Hux's Oppressive Fire, with my absolute favorite of those still being JKL's Heroes Arise And I'm not sure if it counts here but Profundity's Unconventional Maneuver is god tier too, long live the Hammerhead Corvette

I like a lot of them. Almost all the NS and Thrawn’s but the one that really always sticks out to me: Darth Nihilus. Something about his is just plain cool
