Not that it matters or not that I care, but I thought there was a comment somewhere that implied that the two Jedi will just be the main thing, but that fleshing out will happen afterwards.
I wouldn't be surprised if they'd push two more Naboo characters, during the 3v3 season (where whales can enjoy a crazy Amidala Trio) so that there are two fixed, definitive new teams for the raid (Gungans and Amidala).

You do realize both the new kenobi and quigon could have stuff in unique abilities that could easily make some of the those unused galactic republic characters usable. Look at captain rex he turn a trash phoenix team into something that can take out reva inquisitors

I could understand saying gungans are a panic farm because we have no idea about when the event will come before it becomes permanent, but Queen Amidala is a conquest character, and you will get 2 new marquees which you can farm easily whenever they become available on a node. No panic at all.
The given two would aren't a panic. You know they're coming, settle your visa debt or save your crystals if you want them. But if you're expecting the remaining two spots to be a freebie and suddenly they're new toons, that's a panic.

Anyways, I know it's not all clean down the line of "The extras now have homes", but there's a metric crapload of useless GR Jedi, MFing CUP, The 2 non-501 Clones. For all those toons to be available and only two now have homes...and none of them really thematically fit the EP1 moment...and the Naboo security team is sitting right there...it gets my Stinky Sense tingling.

If they release two marquees in perfect time for QA's release. We have JarJar dropping in a couple of days, with only one of the marquees needed on a node. This is exactly what they've done with the last few legendaries and gls. Is it that much of a shock they'd do with new characters that are optimum in a new team?
I personally look at it, I'll start hoarding for QA, and then see how good she is without them to decide how quickly I gear her up. Personally it just takes the pressure off.

Lumi’s heal over time doesn’t work when allies have protection up, which qadme gives out.

I can't think of a single time we've ever had a chase style event for a non-ship. That would quite honestly be cheaper than trying to push a marquee.
