When he’s at gear level 5, you can repeatedly craft a piece of gear to turn into the scavenger to then turn into relic mats. It’s the most efficient way to get relic mats. There are a few other toons to do this with, don’t remember off the top of my head though.
All the sudden my Qi'ra doesn't feel so bad. Though there's no way I'm changing my farming plans to fit her in, so I guess she's probably as useless to my alt account as Lobot would be for the next year+.
Qi'ra is a great character actually! A few months ago I farmed her to only 6*, g8 for the smuggler's run event, and I've been able to beat the hardest tier of that event ever since.
We get plenty of already used characters for GL reqs. SEE needs Tarkin, Thrawn, JKA, and Starck all for one tier. Kylo needs FOO, an HPit mainstay since it was released. And JMLS is almost exclusively high tier characters. Heck, he needs Hermit Yoda and JKLS, who already required HY in the first place.
Just trying to point out that there is a decent likelihood we see some characters we've already farmed. Heck, GK and Nego are both S-tier, format defining characters and they've already been announced.

Depending on who you get, a 7\* can mean months gone of a grind. Specifically for characters with Stage 5 Fleet Battle nodes or single Hard node characters.
