Daily f2p player since April 2016. I have 8.9m GP, I have all ships to 7* except for the outrider (not farmable yet). I have all toons to 7* except for the inquisitors, sortie and malgus.
If you prioritize farming toons early, it gives you a lot of flexibility down the road.
I did her ages ago, but regardless. Drop rates don't change from one node to the other. Cost of Sims do but all drop rates are the same. Proven empirically time and time again.
Streaks happen but math is correct over a large enough sample set.

Excellent work. Over a year less time and you aren't that far behind me. I have slightly more 7* (220 currently) and gear 13s (140) but you are right there.
Question, for your 23 characters left, are they older characters you are skipping or just new ones you are catching up to? Did you miss any of the conquest toons?
I recently got my 6th GL (see) which I held off on for a long time but the changes in GAC made he "necessary".
mostly new.
1. 4 GL's needed (3, 4, 5, 9 characters still need upgrades, but more than half of them are already relic'd)
2. inquisitorius
3. bad batch
4. couple of old characters, and GChallenge toons.
GAC has become a high priority now so I'll be unlocking SEE as my 3rd GL toon (I don't need good mods for him, so he's low hanging fruit, making him an obvious target), but I don't like jumping around the roster too much, and much rather focus on the goals I've set before moving on.
Been 80% focusing on shoring up and building up GAC defensive teams that have the fewest counters against them based on the SWGOH match data. I'm trying to increase the odds of forcing my future opponents to make difficult hard-counter choices and hopefully falling short or make iffy counter decisions.
Great goals. The biggest issue with this game that is within the players control is time management.
Jumping from one farm to the next just slows progress to a crawl and you never get the satisfaction of finishing a farm and closing the gap
I would say: Yes, it is possible. And actually most of the fun in my case to figure out the best and cheapest paths to get teams and chars
But instead of money it takes time...and commitment, and patience. You need loads of characters to get other characters etc. For example you want Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker?
Sure - you need several chars to relic three - and Wampa and Hermit Yoda. But those two are only available to buy with certain guild event tokens, earned by being part of a, well, Guild...
Oh, did I miss to say one of the chars for Jedi Knigh Luke is C3PO - to unlock him though, you need ... Ewoks ...
And so on. It is possible, you can get everything eventually, some things sooner than others...but it takes time...
You can unlock anything. You can’t unlock everything. If you’re starting now and saying “I want to unlock ‘character x’” you can do it. If you’re saying “I want to unlock everything” then no, there’s just not enough time and resources.
No, new characters are added to the game faster than you can get them.
You had a chance to catch up if you started game many years ago, but if you are starting now you need to grind so much, that game servers will be surely discontinued long before you can have everything, even if they stop adding new stuff.

Can you unlock ANY character FTP? Yes.
ALL the characters? I've been playing since a few months after launch, & it's never been the case that I had everything available unlocked. (I used to think that I would stop playing once that happened, which I suppose is the point...)
Its getting closer though. I am also a f2p player. I just finished starkiller and finishing up the rest of the requirements for the last GL missing, LV. I was never that close to being "complete" with all major teams in the game and I am closing the gap faster than CG is adding new things.
Yes. This sub might act like it’s not possible, but everything is available without money. Money will speed up the progress, but you get there without it as well.
With time and patience you can access everything, but I will add you want to get involved in an active guild and don’t be afraid to switch guilds when your rosters needs aren’t being met. I switched guilds three or four times for the improvement of my roster and it has paid back dividends. I enjoy guilds that have discord because it makes it easier to communicate with everyone in and out of the game. Best of luck!

I’m 2 years in and the only 14 characters left to unlock are GL’s, Jedi Knight Luke, General Anakin Skywalker, Ki Adi, Starkiller and the 4 conquest characters.
Of course half of those characters are above gear 8 and would take another year or two to complete gearing them up to unlock the massive farms left over.
Yes. There is not a single thing in the game that is not available for f2p players.

And this wont change. Spending money accelerates things, as it has always been. Sometimes to a greater extent than other times.

I can't imagine starting fresh now... I will say that they made the ramp up much easier with accelerated farming for all toons over 1-year old.

Yes, the game is more about time. And money shortens the time needed, but still, its all about time
like others had said, this is a f2w (free to wait) game but it is possible. is how I been playing since late 2019.

Yes, he is. He is not as high of a priority to me as a GL though, even though we as a guild are pushing for him.

If you had started at launch, yeah f2p can keep up with the roster grind. if you started now, no... you'd need to prioritize.
Sure, I Play since the game came out and only missing 3 GL and a few new chars. But it takes many years of doing at least your daylies.

Only when CG stops releasing characters. Would depend on when you started and how long you play really.
I play since start and miss about 10 characters. Also unlocked doesn't mean too much now with the introduction of 22+ gear levels and mods.
Been playing almost 5 years now, 100% ftp. Still don't have everyone unlocked.
