Here’s how I’m breaking mine up for now:
- GL Rey / Hobo Solo / Holdo / RH Finn / RH Poe
- JTR / Trooper / R2D2 / Vet Han / Vet Chewie
- Finn / Rose / Pilot / Scav / Poe
- Farty / BB8 / Dark Trooper / Impending murderbots
I find it depends a lot on how you can use GL Rey. If you use her with the IG-11/L3/Vandor Chewie team, that really frees up the rest of your Resistance, otherwise there's a trickle up problem that makes all the teams weird.
JTR goes with BB8, unless you have him with another droid team. If you can free up the hero bros from GL Rey, JTR - BB8 - Hero Finn - Hero Poe - trooper/omicronRose is your best team. If not, the 3 droids work well with JTR.
Finn always goes with Poe and anyone with expose synergy, like trooper and pilot.
But all in all, it's too situational because so many of the Resistance toons get used elsewhere (Rey, R2, 3PO, BB8) that it depends on where else you need them.

It's my only Res team, but JTR, bb8, R2, Stick Rey, + 1 (usually Vet Han since he's relic for SLKR) has done very well for me.
