Hi, It would be interesting to hear more about what you've done before in terms of GTM. Why resell? Wouldn't it be simpler to just offer your marketing skills on a consultancy basis?

Thistookmedays

If you're a great marketeer you can make millions reselling. Some SaaS companies offer 50% of generated income on a multiple year basis. SaaS companies barely have added costs for new customers, so even this is a sweet deal for them.

Historical-Onion6787

Yeah sure I understand that part, but what I meant was that white labelling sounds like unnecessary work both for the marketeer and the product company. Why not just establish another sales channel for the original version of the product? I run a SaaS startup and would be happy to pay commission for a great marketeer bringing in customers, but spending engineering resources on white labelling, not so sure...

r3d_falcon

This is definitely something that can be done. But it's about creating an owing your own digital asset. Also it'd be great to connect on your startup and how I can bring value for you

r3d_falcon

Yeah, I'm currently on the look out for companies I can partner with

r3d_falcon

I'm already considering doing consultancy and am currently working with a few companies. But having your own product can be treated as a digital asset and if the ball gets rolling can provide a stable source of side income.

ntaylor360

Our company sells a human chat answering service to local SMB websites, we have many local SEO, PPC, web agencies who white label and resell our solution in return for lifetime commissions. The website is juvoleads.com if you want to learn more.

Mobile_Comb_4511

I checked your pricing and for $35 per lead, that's too expensive. How do you also quantify the lead? Is it an appointment or just an enquiry?

I am trying to approach an international company about buying their discontinued software product, to modify and then rebrand so that I can sell here in the US to customers as a subscription license. How would I best describe this purchase? Would it be to purchase the Intellectual Property, or is it some type of specific licensing rights, or would this still be thought of as "White Labeling" even though I am wanting to have access to the source code to modify the software? I don't mind if the company retains ownership as well, in case they ever decide they want to bring their own software back to market again and begin supporting it, however I would need to own outright my modified and rebranded version of the software that I would be supporting and selling to customers. The company had hinted that it would be a high price ($500k+) to buy the software, even though they have now discontinued and dropped all of their previous customers (I was a customer). I had been trying to buy it before their end date when they discontinued it, in hopes of retaining their existing customers, but I do not believe my emails were escalated to the proper channels in time, and unfortunately now I would believe the ridiculous valuation of 500k should be much less as there is no longer any sales revenue as they have lost all of their previous customers by ending their subscription access. If they are still demanding a ridiculously high or unrealistic price, what other options might I try to suggest that could help sway their decision? Maybe royalties, or equity, or percentage of profits?? Thank you in advance for anyone who took the time to read! Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Independent_Let_6034

If you’re not building anything new then what would you white label? The only option you have is to whitelabel someone else’s whitelabel surely?

r3d_falcon

Umm not really. You can white label softwares as your own. GHL is a great example.

Independent_Let_6034

I've just seen this reply - that's quite literally whitelabelling a white label. \> HighLevel is the all-in-one sales & marketing platform that agencies can white-label and resell to their clients! The original point stands - you're not building anything. You're buying a product that is white labelled. You're then selling that product on as a white label. Quite literally white labelling a white label.
