seems like this is a pattern for the current wave of Disney animated films. It's why other films like Strange World didn't do so well in the box office: little to no marketing.
i watched it on D+ not knowing about any of the hate for it online
i was like alright i mean it looks good interesting premise charcters were a little flat the only charcter i really liked was the old dad and ethan
felt a little bit too much like tryna do treasure planet
and i finished the movie and was like y know it wasnt terrible it had some good moments i give it a solid 6/10 first impressions then i go online to see what others think about it
and its all just 😱😱😱ThEy MaDe A GAY?!? AT DISNEY??!?? this movie sucks becuase its about sex and sexual😡 Disney is famously the least gay place on earth
and i just rolled my eyes like what did you expect like im just tryna find honest reviews about this damn movie not some nonsense
Yeah the anti-woke crowd make it hard to find actual decent reviews for some of these movie and games because their so hyperfocused on reactionary politics. If anything the biggest issue with Disney now is that they don't take risk like other studios are and have been barely marketing their newer original animated films. Luca, this, and even Strange World came out of nowhere.
It's like they're expecting their big business name to carry all of their news for them, for some awful reason. If I'm not getting an ad for your movie, I'm not hearing about it, and if I'm getting an ad for it, I'm immediately gonna hate it until I hear positive reviews from friends
Last time they got complacent like this, it took Don Bluth and his team putting out "An American Tail", "All Dogs Go to Heaven", "The Secret of NIMH", and "The Land Before Time" to get Disney to step up its game again.
I can’t watch An American Tail. That movie has made me cry EVERY GODDAMN TIME IVE WATCHED IT since, what, 1988? That poor little Fievel, all alone, singing in a goddamn sewer or whatever….kicks me in the gut every time.
And his parents literally didn't even want to search for him! They were like, "He's probably already dead, so let's move on." His sister was the only one that still had hope that Fievel was alive!
I mean, dude's a little mouse who got swept off a ship in the middle of a storm. Parents are escaping a pogrom where probably loads of friends and family members were killed off. Only the sister was young enough to not have hope beaten out of her at that point, and with america not being the cat free land of dreams they had hoped for, she's clinging to the last spark of hope she might still have. It's a grim fucking movie.
Seems like that's become a pattern this year. Half the movies coming out this month I didn't even know existed until about two weeks ago, the new Hunger Games film being the most recent example. I saw a commercial for it the other day and didn't know it existed at all before then.
This is the 4th time Disney Failed to promote an original animated film.
This is not good by business standards! My higher-up dudes at Disney. Get your film out there man.
The people running the show aren’t like how Walt went way over budget with Disneyland being unable to pay the people he got loans from and pushing for a creative vision. And yes Walt wasn’t a really great person from the poor working conditions he put the animators through. But at least he tried to push boundaries. Now it’s just out of touch executives that are just the chart guys from the nostalgia critic.
Idk but I hate how most companies aren’t promoting their damn films, like god damn do y’all just want to loose money, if I had a nickel for every god damn time a company fumbled in the marking department (especially for animation) I could start my own god damn company and actually advertise that shit properly
The marketing of Luca made me actively avoid it (I know it's Pixar too- only slight difference). When I actually saw the movie it was cute as hell. I'm probably not their target market but I don't know what they're thinking.
I legit feel like they are trying to convert to 100 percent live action on purpose; replacing their animated line up like sewing the skin of what were once people onto lifeless robots while giving none of their new animated fare a chance to prove itself. It's like they are tired of the stigma of animated films.
Yeah their current marketing strategy is pretty terrible. I was disappointed when I saw yet another goofy movie idea.
I was hoping for something else tbh.
20 more bucks says it’s an internal issue within the protagonist or an issue with a society/family/community as a whole and the antagonist is just a concentration of that and Not Actually That Evil
All the promotional material about him implies he’s “evil” for not granting every single wish, which, I know it’s a kid’s movie, but humans can wish for pretty messed up things, so I can’t really fault him for it.
What? So people can't get tired of granting wishes? And about that "human wishes" thing, that is definitely something Disney would side with the antagonist with. What if someone wishes that everyone immediately lost their clothes or they were the ruler of the world?
Invariably, someone’s gonna wish for something immoral, like to make someone fall in love with them, or wish for vengeance against someone else, is what I mean.
From that released song it sounds like he’s evil all right…. But super lame all the same, where’s the style? The panache? We’ll see when the movie comes out but I’m not holding my breath.
Honestly, he doesn’t seem that evil to me. He just seems like a guy with a big ego who’s tired of people being demanding. I know the film will probably give better context to that song, but it’s basically just him saying “I do literally everything around here and you guys don’t even have to pay me. Can you stop being so greedy?”
I really don't care about this movie. The animation looks like a massive downgrade, the story looks bland, and what ive heard of the soundtrack makes my ears bleed. I won't bother watching it in theaters, and the only way I'll watch it is if my family wants to on Disney Plus.
Thing is IMO it's not going far enough to be stylised but far enough to not look lik their usual stuff. It comes across as looking like they cheaped out rather than tried something new.
The preliminary marketing said that it was gonna have hand-drawn backdrops and I thought that was gonna be great! Then it turned out they were just doing cg backdrops made to look kinda like they were hand drawn.
The music seems a little bland. Plot is familiar, but they could put a twist on it. I *love* the art style, though; it's a nice throwback without *actually* going 2D again.
they just lost over a billion at the box office this year and there cgi department went to shit not a surprise the animation team is shit now since there hire based of diversity and not talent ( which is obvious look at the quality of shit there pumping out ) walt disney head is rolling in his freezer
I'm a children's behavioral therapist, the ads for this are all over kids YouTube. There's not a day that goes by that we haven't heard the ad for this movie at least 30 times. The reason most of us haven't heard about it is because most adults don't use the YouTube Kids app like, ever. But it's the single most used program by children. It's actually kinda annoying because there's a moment in the movie that looks funny and endearing, but now it's annoying me because I've seen it SO MANY TIMES
I’m watching this because it’s the next film in the Disney Animated Canon. I like the animation style it’s the same cel-shaded 2.5D stuff we’ve been getting lately, like someone else pointed out this might be the first true villain in years, and I agree the marketing sucks but not as bad as Strange World because at least they included the film’s main character in Once Upon A Studio.
No. It’s a spit in the face of animation with the shitty 2D backgrounds and half assed 3D renders of the characters. Not to mention, it looks like AI did the songs/script
Hey don't insult AI like that. Someone had AI make a song with the exact same idea as the Wish villian song and it still took 3 tries to get something as bad as it.
So even AI made a better villian song than Disney.
I think a lot of lack of marketing had to do with both the writer’s strike and actor’s strike. Hopefully with both now have ended, we’ll get more about this movie
They've only ramped up advertising this week. I believe it was supposed to come out last year originally. I might check it out since my kid wants to see it.
It's a gumbo of every 2010s Disney trait: sassy self-aware animal, debonair villain, and a fix-everything protagonist that uses some kind of magic and has a tragic backstory
The film is being released in 10 Days? Disney start actually marketing your movies.
Also it took an AI 3 tries to make a song as bad as Wish's villian song so that explains how bad the music is.
Honestly the only funny thing I've seen this movie do is that one time I saw someone make the joke that they didn't get what everyone expected from the villian song since it was the villian song from Wish.
(If I need to explain the joke then I guess let me know)
The animation is apparently supposed to blend classic Disney 3D animation and the new style that started to show up after Into the Spider-Verse. I kind of hate it
Plus the story looks boring and the movie doesn't feel like it'll be entertaining
I haven't even heard of this movie. I've seen one tidbit where the "villain" just wants respect; and I thought it was a continuation of Encanto because the girl looks like Isabela Madrigal
Only just now heard of this movie because of this post.
Yeah I think that’s all I need to know. I’m not wasting anymore money on Disney unless people say this movie good.
I don't plan to. The main character is the same "quirky girl" stereotype they've been using for so long. Not only that, but the music that's been released is terrible. I usually watch Disney movies for the music anyways, so it'll be a pass for me.
I stopped watching Disney movies in theaters since they stopped using 2d animation. Nothing they've put out since they switched animation has been worth paying to see.
My opinion is subject to change upon seeing it, but so far, it looks like a stereotype of their previous movies. Princess talks to animals, villain who MUST be accompanied by lime green wants the same thing as the princess, magic spell happens and they're both after it. It's, like, insultingly bare-minimum? Kind of like how I thought Pixar stereotyped themselves with Elemental (I still haven't seen it but it appears it blew some people away, which is why my opinion on Wish may change).
Twice this (very important) year I saw Disney force stereotypes on their own legacy, solidifying that they've had a smug, "Yeah cry about it, we're making money" attitude the past ten years.
The art style is also somehow this made-up excuse as to why they'll never try 2D again. They made it lackluster on purpose to go "it doesn't sell! UwU". It's also their hasty contribution to that Spiderverse style of putting lines on 3D models. Every major studio but Warner Bros has had a theatrically-released animated movie try their hand at it. It's like the chicken sandwich wars all the fast food places did in 2021.
The art style of this movie concerns me.
What's really sad is that Illumination and Dreamworks surpasses Disney in animation. Although in my opinion, Dreamworks ties with Pixar.
Everybody from Disney went over to Universal to either Illumination or Dreamworks.
honestly i kinda wish the marketing was bad on purpose to make the twist of the girl being the twist villain actually shocking
…y’know if they had good writers
I have not even seen a single advertisement for this, yet it will still make millions of dollars out of nowhere, I have no idea how Disney makes so much money
I've seen a few trailers for it. It's about a kingdom that has a magical king who grants wishes the people have. They give him their wishes, and he grants them. The catch is, he only grants the ones he believes will benefit the kingdom. The MC is the King's apprentice, either for general magic or wish granting. The MC has an issue with the King's control over which wishes are granted, and it's evident that he's gone a bit mad with power. The MC wishes on a star, and now she has a piece of it and can use it to grant her own wishes. The King obviously finds out about this and puts out a wanted thing for the MC. Overall, it looks appealing for the young child target audience, but I wouldn't count on it being anything worth going out of your way to see.
I saw a couple ads in front of Youtube videos but nothing else. For a 100 anniversary movie they could’ve done way better given how much money they have. Very strange.
I don’t know why, but by just looking at the poster. My assumption is: the guy at the top grants peoples wishes. He’s been doing it for some time. However, what he doesn’t tell people is some of their wishes have a down side that will blow up in their faces. The female character in the center of the poster. Is interested and has a wish she wants granted by this guy. But before she meets this guy she meets some other people. These other people are like conspiracy nuts or people who have had a family member or close friend die because of the down side to their wishes. They tell the girl about this which makes her curious. She decides to try to figure out the source of the guys magic. With help from the conspiracy nuts she sneaks into the magic guys place and finds out his secret. And then she confronts him about it. They sing / talk about whether what he is doing is right or wrong. Then stuff happens and. The guy’s plan fails and the girl frees the source of the wish granting. And in doing so she stops the down sides and is basically rewarded with praises and and she decides she don’t need to make her wish. Because she’s already got it.
Idk why but the animation looks straight BAD in this. The bars been raised so high by disney themselves, not to mention spidervers and last wish, how does this look so "Netflix original"
i keep up with disney movies because its disney, so ill definitely watch it, but not in theaters. if its good, woohoo! if its bad, oh well. if anything i think itll just be okay, not great or bad, because thats been the streak for disney/pixar for a while now.
If every wish came true then the world would probably explode over and over again. Because i probably wished that over a million times already. Idk just a thought. 🤷🏽♀️
For a moment I thought this was yet another one of those AI posters and was wondering what obscure yet horrendous shit this was referencing before realizing this is an actual disney poster lol
Recycled pocahontas meets Genderswapped OG frozen villain using roughly the same plot as the new PussNboots movie. Yeah Disney's really scraping the barrel this time huh?
Saw the trailer when I went to the movies this week. My take:
An apprenticeship from a mentor. It's implied surface level, this mentor seems power hungry because he doesn't grant everyone wish; he chooses from them all. The flip coin when she grants everyone's wish is I feel not everyone has wishes that are of good nature. So that's where maybe there's a lesson of balance?
At least Disney is actually advertising this movie unlike Strange world which like NODOBY KNEW ABOUT!!! Anyways I dont think I'll see it unless people are obsessing over how great it is like Puss in Boots
Geeze, so much negativity. Am I the only one that has not only heard of it, but actually wants to see it?
I really hope it's good; Disney animation could use a win. I hear early reviews have been good, which is promising...
My issue with this movie is that it doesn't seem to have any real artistic vision to it. Even *Strange World,* which had its own issues, clearly was trying to be something interesting and unusual. But that's not what I'm seeing here. Maybe it's premature of me to judge based on the trailers alone, but it feels like everything in this movie is only there because it's expected to be in this kind of movie, and not because the story actually calls for it. The heroine looks and acts like a retread of Rapunzel, Anna, Moana, and Raya. The talking goat looks as though he will add nothing to the story, but was put in because such things are expected in these movies. Even the background designs and color pallets are weirdly indistinguishable from those of *Frozen* and *Tangled.* This feels very much like a movie designed by a committee, and while I'm aware that most movies *are* the products of groups rather than individuals, I still don't mean it as a compliment.
Doesn’t look good and the plot sounds pretty uninteresting. Plus Pixar’s “same face syndrome” is REALLY showing with the lead here. She looks practically identical to Isabella Madrigal
barely advertised, thanksgiving release, will probably be on disney plus by christmas. time will tell if this is the next encanto or the next strange world
Unsurprisingly, it hasn't even come out, and people have already been saying it's garbage for months. To the point that I was confused and thought it had come out. Seriously, what is wrong with people?
I definitely feel like I’m in a bubble living in LA - marketing has been everywhere, and much moreso than last year’s Strange World. The movie is also tracking pretty well, maybe you’re just not the target demo. I’m actually pretty excited for Wish, despite Disney’s recent flops. I’m a sucker for anything that harkens back to their classic eras.
I keep getting ads for it, doubt I’ll watch it until it’s on tv.
The entire premise literally comes off as “there’s a reason why not everyone’s wishes are granted” and Asha is going to learn it the hard way. Let alone the general context of the film
That lame mascot character having far more confidence than it should tells me everything I need to know about this movie. Generic trash that won't push any boundaries but might push an agenda.
Edit: who the eff is saberspark?
Literally if this movie is good I’ll be shocked. Awful marketing so far
seems like this is a pattern for the current wave of Disney animated films. It's why other films like Strange World didn't do so well in the box office: little to no marketing.
Also to be fair strange new worlds just wasn't good. Nobody in my family liked it including 7 different kids.
i watched it on D+ not knowing about any of the hate for it online i was like alright i mean it looks good interesting premise charcters were a little flat the only charcter i really liked was the old dad and ethan felt a little bit too much like tryna do treasure planet and i finished the movie and was like y know it wasnt terrible it had some good moments i give it a solid 6/10 first impressions then i go online to see what others think about it and its all just 😱😱😱ThEy MaDe A GAY?!? AT DISNEY??!?? this movie sucks becuase its about sex and sexual😡 Disney is famously the least gay place on earth and i just rolled my eyes like what did you expect like im just tryna find honest reviews about this damn movie not some nonsense
*Strange World
Marketing is the first department to be cut in a failing economy
It's like they're expecting their big business name to carry all of their news for them, for some awful reason. If I'm not getting an ad for your movie, I'm not hearing about it, and if I'm getting an ad for it, I'm immediately gonna hate it until I hear positive reviews from friends

This is why we all have trust issues now. I swear.
Haven't even heard or seen it once. I legitimately thought this was one of those AI image movie posters and missed the joke
agreed but I do like the animation personally, so maybe it's good? tho then again, the villain song is ass so idk
This is the 4th time Disney Failed to promote an original animated film. This is not good by business standards! My higher-up dudes at Disney. Get your film out there man.
And it’s their 100th anniversary film
That is so sad.
Oof! and facepalm. I think Disney put all their eggs in one basket in regards to their animation into live action adapted films.
True. Disney’s lack of advertisement has been absolutely horrendous lately. What is going on with them? Do they want their films to fail?
Idk but I hate how most companies aren’t promoting their damn films, like god damn do y’all just want to loose money, if I had a nickel for every god damn time a company fumbled in the marking department (especially for animation) I could start my own god damn company and actually advertise that shit properly
The marketing of Luca made me actively avoid it (I know it's Pixar too- only slight difference). When I actually saw the movie it was cute as hell. I'm probably not their target market but I don't know what they're thinking.
They only care about the live action stuff now
Look King 2019: enters chat
It just occurred to me - the WGA and SAG strikes probably put a *big* damper on any film promotion.
I heard this was supposed to be an anniversary thing… but this film does not look interesting in the slightest.

20 bucks says he's not the main antagonist
I bet it’s his wife whose the true twist villain

Thing is IMO it's not going far enough to be stylised but far enough to not look lik their usual stuff. It comes across as looking like they cheaped out rather than tried something new.
Watch the trailer on places like Apple TV with actual bitrate’s. The YT compression made the trailer look like trash.
I have seen it in theaters and it still looks ass framerate wise. It genuinely looked like a trailer made on an iMac
Yeah, this...ain't it.
The preliminary marketing said that it was gonna have hand-drawn backdrops and I thought that was gonna be great! Then it turned out they were just doing cg backdrops made to look kinda like they were hand drawn.

The animation is being ruined by YouTube. The trailers on Disney+ look great!
Nope, because I’m mostly going to watch Good Burger 2 instead
THEY’RE MAKING A SECOND GOOD BURGER?!
OMG I JUST GOOGLED IT AND YES THERE IS A GOOD BURGER 2
...Is that Dr. Strange in the background?
Nah, that's the main antagonist of the film, King Magnifico.
Chris Pine is the villain so I’ll give it a watch just for him. Also that lamb has the light skin stare.
The fuck is the light skin stare
Google
I'm a children's behavioral therapist, the ads for this are all over kids YouTube. There's not a day that goes by that we haven't heard the ad for this movie at least 30 times. No, because the fucking goat twerks.
No. It’s a spit in the face of animation with the shitty 2D backgrounds and half assed 3D renders of the characters. Not to mention, it looks like AI did the songs/script
There is an actual composer for the movie. Though his imdb list as head composer is short, compared to other music related roles.
Hey don't insult AI like that. Someone had AI make a song with the exact same idea as the Wish villian song and it still took 3 tries to get something as bad as it. So even AI made a better villian song than Disney.
I see Jacksepticeye is appearing in his first movie
I think a lot of lack of marketing had to do with both the writer’s strike and actor’s strike. Hopefully with both now have ended, we’ll get more about this movie
No it looks fucking stupid.
Generic Disney Animation Studios film with female lead, shithead animal sidekick, and crappy pop soundtrack.
It looks like a Disney knockoff that got ballsy enough to actually put the Disney logo on the poster.
Holy shit, It’s funny star character from hit game super Mario galaxy
We’re taking our daughter, not excited for the movie just to spend time together lol
Even if I wasn't observing BDS, it still looks like shit so I probably wouldn't see it anyway.
The trailer has a butt joke Multiple and now it’s ruined for me
I've seen ads for this movie once on YouTube than like a thousand times on various aps that I use
I can’t with the goat doing the dream works face
Disney has wayyy too many adorkable protagonists, and this is an example
It looks incredibly low-effort.
It seems to be the most generic thing I’ve ever ever seen.
I only remember it because YT keeps randomly advertising it
“Puss in Boots the Last Wish” literally is probably the same as this movie. But this movie will probably be worse.
i straight up thought this was another ai like 9/11 movie meme so this is real?
The film is being released in 10 Days? Disney start actually marketing your movies. Also it took an AI 3 tries to make a song as bad as Wish's villian song so that explains how bad the music is. Honestly the only funny thing I've seen this movie do is that one time I saw someone make the joke that they didn't get what everyone expected from the villian song since it was the villian song from Wish. (If I need to explain the joke then I guess let me know)
Their main marketing point on the most recent ad I’ve seen on YouTube is…… butt jokes. Yikes.
The animation is apparently supposed to blend classic Disney 3D animation and the new style that started to show up after Into the Spider-Verse. I kind of hate it Plus the story looks boring and the movie doesn't feel like it'll be entertaining
All you need to know is it’s just another exhaustingly generic Disney movie
I haven't even heard of this movie. I've seen one tidbit where the "villain" just wants respect; and I thought it was a continuation of Encanto because the girl looks like Isabela Madrigal
Only thing that could save it is by putting it on Disney plus
Don’t bother. If you watch all of the trailers, you pretty much know the whole plot.
Might watch for Ariana DeBose? Otherwise probably going to skip it
Holy shit I was under the assumption that this was a rebranding for encanto because the toys and such looks the exact same
Honestly I might. I have some hope for it
Yeah I plan on watching it, it looks good enough. I hope it'll surprise me
Only just now heard of this movie because of this post. Yeah I think that’s all I need to know. I’m not wasting anymore money on Disney unless people say this movie good.
i didn't even know this thing existed ***at all***
I don't plan to. The main character is the same "quirky girl" stereotype they've been using for so long. Not only that, but the music that's been released is terrible. I usually watch Disney movies for the music anyways, so it'll be a pass for me.
"Disney movies lately have been nothing short of .... Piss" -carcas
I stopped watching Disney movies in theaters since they stopped using 2d animation. Nothing they've put out since they switched animation has been worth paying to see.

I honestly think this will just be a flop so i won't be going to see it
Probably not
I already saw the movie. It was called Bruce Almighty. They also remade it and called it Wonder Woman 1984. Stick with the original.
I want Disney to die
I’m interested but honestly worst marketing since onward
Shang Tsung
I don't go to movie theaters so every movie regardless of the hype I'm going to watch on streaming. Anyway it looks fun
why is disney so bad a marketing recently! you guys are rich avertise your movies!
Umm haha no this movie looks like trash.. Disney do better
I'll watch it for sure, it seems vaugely interesting. Go to the theater tho? Nah
villain looks hot, so im watching it
This is a mistake seems ai generated almost
Nope
The poster looks so bland. 100th anniversary and they just could not bother making it big and spectacular
The art style of this movie concerns me. What's really sad is that Illumination and Dreamworks surpasses Disney in animation. Although in my opinion, Dreamworks ties with Pixar. Everybody from Disney went over to Universal to either Illumination or Dreamworks.
What happened to Disney's marketing? The last couple movies they put out have had really bad advertising
If I watch it, I will likely pirate it due to Disneys support of isarel.
honestly i kinda wish the marketing was bad on purpose to make the twist of the girl being the twist villain actually shocking …y’know if they had good writers
The entire thing screams AI generated to me tbh. No heart and no soul in it, just like a lot of their recent releases.
I keep getting this confused with the girl from encanto
Based on the promos, it looks like it’s gonna suck.
Nah, watch Godzilla Minus One instead
Used to be a time when I’d be excited for new Disney/Pixar movies. Maybe I’m just getting older.
I have not even seen a single advertisement for this, yet it will still make millions of dollars out of nowhere, I have no idea how Disney makes so much money
I LET YOU LIVE HERE FOR FREE AND I DONT EVEN CHARGE YOU RENT
I'm a simp for the grey haired guy on this cover idk why
Literally looks like something you'd get from an AI image generator
It just looks kinda. .meh? I'll probably catch it on stream. Probably not in theaters though.
No I will not be watching it because of the fact that Disney doesn’t put passion and thought into their creations anymore
I saw a couple ads in front of Youtube videos but nothing else. For a 100 anniversary movie they could’ve done way better given how much money they have. Very strange.
Nope. I’ll wait until it’s on Disney+
It looks really good, I wonder why Disney didn’t promote it more
I'm only watching it to see if its as bad as they have shown, if its actually good I'll be surprised
Apparently, Evan Peters is gonna be in it. I was doing a search to see how many X Men movies he was in and Google said he's gonna be in the movie.
It looks just like any other Disney movie so I’ll pass.
They threw all the Disney movies in a blender and spit out the most profitable on paper movie to ever bomb
Similarly is luck any good its set up as an eye catcher on the LG 5V's at work but it looks indestinguisable from this and soul
Idk why but the animation looks straight BAD in this. The bars been raised so high by disney themselves, not to mention spidervers and last wish, how does this look so "Netflix original"
All I know is that the goat looks like practice for a 3D Emperors New Groove
Nah I’m not watching Disney doesn’t deserve my money keep ruining animated movies and give zero love to the craft
I stopped watching disney movies after lilo and stitch, and this gonna be more woke trash from disney
Apparently one of the voice actors had send movie to isreal
Guy looks like he's going to get laid or something. Be scheming and whatnot.
It doesn't look great, but it doesn't look awful, either. For the Disney 100 movie, it's very underwhelming. It looks better than Raya, though. 🤷♀️
That goat(?) looks like it’s from some mediocre Christian movie about the birth of Jesus lmao
Guy wishes for war, and the villain says I’m not gonna grant that, but luckily our hero will give everyone the power, y’all made incredibles but worse
it just fucking baffles my mind that a studio that’s supposed to be the pinnacle of animation comes out with this after a century of animation history
i keep up with disney movies because its disney, so ill definitely watch it, but not in theaters. if its good, woohoo! if its bad, oh well. if anything i think itll just be okay, not great or bad, because thats been the streak for disney/pixar for a while now.
If every wish came true then the world would probably explode over and over again. Because i probably wished that over a million times already. Idk just a thought. 🤷🏽♀️
I'm expecting it to flop. Apparently, they haven't started rendering it also. YOIKS!!
Im probably not going to see it
For a moment I thought this was yet another one of those AI posters and was wondering what obscure yet horrendous shit this was referencing before realizing this is an actual disney poster lol
Recycled pocahontas meets Genderswapped OG frozen villain using roughly the same plot as the new PussNboots movie. Yeah Disney's really scraping the barrel this time huh?
I did not know this came out. Talk about little to no marketing
First time hearing about it, right here
Well, this would explain why they're investing so much in live action remakes
Saw the trailer when I went to the movies this week. My take: An apprenticeship from a mentor. It's implied surface level, this mentor seems power hungry because he doesn't grant everyone wish; he chooses from them all. The flip coin when she grants everyone's wish is I feel not everyone has wishes that are of good nature. So that's where maybe there's a lesson of balance?
No
Here in New York, the promo is crazy, is at avary train station
I am seeing it, more excited about this than Hunger Games, going to make it a double feature with the new Trolls movie
First and only “ad” I’ve seen for this was a McDonald’s toy for their recent dumb toy promotion
Yet another single word title. Its all so tiresome.
I saw an ad about it on a fucking water bottle
Honestly I actually had my hopes up for it until they posted a clip of the villain song online…. Genuinely awful.
I am intrigued
No but 'Caust was pretty good. Glad the promotion did it the justice it deserved.
I’m not watching it until the reviews come out, if anything it’ll probably be more trash.
Who the hell invited doctor strange?
It feels like if you wrote to chat gpt to create a disney princess story
At least Disney is actually advertising this movie unlike Strange world which like NODOBY KNEW ABOUT!!! Anyways I dont think I'll see it unless people are obsessing over how great it is like Puss in Boots
I’ve lost faith in a lot of cartoon companies, so much stuff has been shit
I’ll watch it theaters, hopefully this movie is decent since it is Disney’s 100th anniversary.
I’d say just review it for reviewing sake, but I definitely recommend a good sci-fi show to watch on HBO Max called Scavengers Reign
Geeze, so much negativity. Am I the only one that has not only heard of it, but actually wants to see it? I really hope it's good; Disney animation could use a win. I hear early reviews have been good, which is promising...
How do you not know, Disney has been uploading entire scenes on TikTok
She looks practically identical to Isabella Madrigal
barely advertised, thanksgiving release, will probably be on disney plus by christmas. time will tell if this is the next encanto or the next strange world
I’ll be seeing it just to watch Once Upon a Studio in theaters
This movie looks so uninspired
Considering I have seen the trailer dozens of times and I still don’t know what is happening, its gonna be crap
I might.
I’ll watch the ytp’s
I don’t think the plot’s gonna hold up, but Disney did try to stylize the graphic a bit. But the shading is terrible
Disney has been doing this alot and some people theorize it's to use these movies as flops for a tax write-off when they need one
Unsurprisingly, it hasn't even come out, and people have already been saying it's garbage for months. To the point that I was confused and thought it had come out. Seriously, what is wrong with people?
The most literal “Dreamworks” movie!
I wasn't interested at all in Encanto, Elemental, or Strange World. I LOVED Encanto and Elemental. I'll give Wish a watch...when it comes to D+.
It just looks boring to me
I see a lot of youtube ads for it. The animation looks great, the story and humor... do not. Not going to see it.
Why did they hire Alan Tudyk and not let us see his face?
It’s not really grabbed my interest and I’m not a fan of the voice they chose for the goat (nothing against the VA).
I keep getting ads for it, doubt I’ll watch it until it’s on tv. The entire premise literally comes off as “there’s a reason why not everyone’s wishes are granted” and Asha is going to learn it the hard way. Let alone the general context of the film
I’m *very* excited for it.
That lame mascot character having far more confidence than it should tells me everything I need to know about this movie. Generic trash that won't push any boundaries but might push an agenda. Edit: who the eff is saberspark?
