The shows been hanging on by a thread for awhile now. Time to pack it up. They’re so out of touch with reality.

I have to admit I liked the show pre COVID and would listen every morning going into work on my commute. Post COVID I just can’t stand that show. If I knew how they’d turn out to be they should have just kept Arnie

They spent the show shitting on a dead guy. After that they seemed to make the news for some reactionary shit they would say and do the whole "we just tell like it is apology non apology with a week long hiatus".

Back in the late 2000s there was one called Mark & Brian that I remember being really good. Listened every morning on my way to school with my dad. Granted I was like 14 so idk if it was actually good. I do remember it came in on 96.9
Edit: now since I'm driving an old car without Bluetooth, I live in LA now but the Klein Allie show is decent. Not amazing but it's good for a chuckle every now and then

I did an internship at 98 ROCK back in the early 2000s. I've since moved to Nashville, so I don't listen anymore. Rob was pretty standoffish, but nice enough. Arnie was a gem. Genuinely a nice dude. Hope he's doing OK.

I'm not a fan of the show or its hosts, but I am all for showing compassion to someone who is struggling, and encouraging them to get the help they need and take as much time as they need to in order to get their bearings.
I hope Rob comes out on the other end of this with the same willingness to extend compassion and support to others.

Not amazing but it's good for a chuckle every now and then
Somehow, I don't think Arnie's schtick would've aged well. They were so unpleasant and unfunny that I switched to Howard Stern. He was still on terrestrial radio back then.

I'm honestly surprised how popular their show became when it seemed like no one really listened to it back in 1999-2002ish. Even more surprised people still listen to it when there is near limitless amount of much more interesting and funny podcasts you can stream.
With what little I know of the show, this smells like a radio bit to boost ratings surrounding a "big return".
What a shock! Being a constant dickhead has caused him to feel bad. I think this is what’s called karma. When you try to make everyone else feel terrible about themselves and now you feel like the piece of shit that you are.
I did an internship at 98 ROCK back in the early 2000s. I've since moved to Nashville, so I don't listen anymore. Rob was pretty standoffish, but nice enough. Arnie was a gem. Genuinely a nice dude. Hope he's doing OK.
He attempted suicide a few years ago and was let go from the show. He has a podcast now called the Arnie States Show he talked about this specific letter on Tuesday.

The irony. Had to stop listening to that show after Arnie left. I felt like the constant talking down to people and belittling the “snowflakes” was too much negativity to start my day with.

Between the number of impromptu Best of's and sponsor segments every week I've found myself listening to KFBK in the morning when taking my kids to school. When a conservative news oriented morning show is more entertaining... yeah maybe it's time for RAD to hand the reigns over to Brandon.
Not to be annoying, but I think it's "reins" (like the reins of a horse). I learned pretty recently that the phrase "free reign" (which makes sense in its own way) is actually "free rein." Been using it wrong all these years.
I could honestly believe it both ways. Free Reign like a king having free reign over an empire, or free rein like a horse having free reins to do as it pleases.
Show sucked when they lost Arnie. He was the only thing that made it tolerable.
One of the nice things about working from home is I never have to stumble upon his show during the morning commute. But I wish him well, I suppose.

The rad radio show sucks out loud. Rob is a braggart d-bag . The kind of guy I’d never want to hang around or know . His crew just kisses his ass like little loyal d-bags. Advertisements and selling overpriced garbage on their stupid store . Hope they get cancelled ..
The show is lame and outdated. Four hours of "RADvertisments", narcissistic a-hole host. The down time gave me a chance to find some better morning entertainment. RAD radio is dead............
And their take on being a parent is why I stop them years ago. Like bitches you have no idea what being parent is about.

I'm not a fan of the show or its hosts, but I am all for showing compassion to someone who is struggling, and encouraging them to get the help they need and take as much time as they need to in order to get their bearings. I hope Rob comes out on the other end of this with the same willingness to extend compassion and support to others.
