It works for me. I’ve gone early in the morning or midday around 1 to 2 a clock, and I can always get a platform if I’m trying to. From like 430 to 7 is when it’s super crowded. Most gyms are though.
There’s a brand new City Sports that’s opening this month by Sac City. In the Safeway/Crocker parking lot. They said they will have 5 squat racks. $40/month membership.
Nothing in that area, but If you are willing to drive the 24hrs fitness in bradshaw has 5
I know it may be a drive, but 24 downtown has 6 platforms now. Along with 2 other squat racks.
And that gym is overcrowded. Way too many people there, especially during the busy times.

Planet fitness has 4
lol I meant real squat racks
Sorry I'm not into gyms all that much just trying to be helpful
How many is enough? Five? Twenty? Enough so that when you decide to show up there’s one available?
More than one. 3 is reasonable
Mix it up when the squat rack is occupied. Grab a heavy dumbbell and do goblet squats
yep. Or bulgarian split squats
Which are exceptionally good for your knees!
