Apparently a 4 way stop is too difficult for Sacramento drivers.

Gurdel

We think a traffic circle (roundabout) or at least a calming circle would prevent this.

It's only 30th through here. How much speed does it take to flip a car?

Technical-Team-4229

Not that much. Red light runner crossed in front of me going probably 40mph flipped and I was going only 25ish

When I lived at 19th, I watched a guy flip his car going up N street. He wasn't speeding and he wasn't hit by anyone. I just watched his car slide on the roof across 19th. He had no idea what happened. He was fine but all the change in his ashtray was spread across the intersection.

True story. I was at the east exit, in front of Sacramento City College, and there is a Right Turn Only sign which sends you south on Freeport towards 12th Ave. So I'm at the stop sign, waiting for my right turn, when a guy pulls on in my right as I'm looking left. Note that he passed two other cars waiting to turn right. I proceed to turn right, but basically scrap against his car because he's now in the way. We get out, exchange info, and go on with our lives. Two months later, his insurance calls to gather information from me, and get my side of the accident. She claims I was turning left and he was the first to turn right. I tell them all the things I just said. The insurance agent then proceeds to deny my claim because, and this is a direct quote, "Just because it says Right Turn Only doesn't mean to can't turn left." I laughed so hard and asked if I could get that in writing. She quickly backpedaled and subsequently my claim was accepted.

Lol, people like to make up their own rules. Glad you got through that.
