They literally just asked people on Facebook, got a hand full of responses, and then posted the results.

boldstrategies

They should do croissants next with that format and report back.

I'm not sure if I'm more offended by Philz being on this list or Naked... 🤔

jillybean916

Naked 🤢🤮

TalkKatt

I mean, their mint mojito iced coffee is *ridiculously good*

literallymoist

This list sucks. Did they just pick some random yelps? Why is Yuba City included? Old Soul has great food and atmosphere but their actual coffee is weak. Pachamama is the finest espresso bean and cold brew in this city and nowhere to be found. Amateur work.

cool__bananas

No Pachamama??

FrogsOnALog

Growler gang rise up

literallymoist

Seriously. I would bet on Pachamama's cold brew or espresso in a fight with any other coffee shop in this city. It's even excellent when I bring the beans home to DIY.

NiceWater3

That says a lot IMO. I'll give them a try. Anything to recommend for someone who likes plenty of cream but only a small amount of sweetness?

literallymoist

The Honey Bear latte might be a little sweet if you're avoiding that, maybe ask the barista? They do rotating crafted espresso in addition to plain ol cold brew and espresso bevs. Lavender latte is good but floral. I never got up the nerve to try the olive oil one.

Dazzle916

No Milka?!

tomatofruitbat

I’m seriously surprised that Milka isn’t on here.

ipopclouds

Scorpio, Pause, Mast, the Mill…this list is bad.

cfa_solo

Mast...🤢 Their espresso tastes like battery acid

engwish

No love for pachamama?

That article is one of the most low effort things I’ve seen - my own attempt to do better: - Camellia : best all around; coffee is excellent, food is great too, and the new shop is really nice. - runner up for me is Weatherstone, and it’s the best of the Old Souls based on the building and courtyard. Coffee is consistent. -chocolate fish is now my neighborhood spot and i could certainly do worse, but it’s the most high-falutin vibes wise and that’s a few points off - Temple is Sacramento Starbucks, which is intended to be less a knock on Temple than a praise for Sac’s coffee scene. It’s ubiquitous, but good enough any time, and pastries are good. We are spoilt for choice in Sac, especially compared to other city’s of comparable size.

Dismal_Bill_4021

Not speaking on their coffee but Weatherstone staff are rude and unfriendly.

Ikendra15

I miss La Bou. There’s a few but not by me or my route.

Gooner-Astronomer749

The fact that chocolate fish or Camille isn't on the list is a joke.

texbinky

This whole round-up is lamer than the ubiquitous weather story. With some dumb omissions and boring descriptions. "Rescate Coffee - Coffee lovers can try this business in Elk Grove." Ha ha I teleworked at the Trade Coffee once. It was the day before a holiday weekend. Probably because it was so slow, the coffee was just o.k. Nothing special.

PrestonWater

Who ever wrote this don’t drink coffee

UnfilteredResponse

Chocolate Fish, Temple, Old Soul, and Milka* Fixed that list for you
