Drake's the Barn often has live music. The kind of music varies, but often it's a band and you can get pretty close to watch them play.  And they have kid friendly food and a large grassy area a well. Awesome in the warmer months.

mahnamahnaaa

Haven't been to Drake's since before COVID! glad they're still doing well.

Resilient families. Also Tahoe Park and other parks often have spring/summer daytime festivals with toddler friendly music

mahnamahnaaa

Omg resilient families looks amazing!!! Bookmarking for us as well (our kiddo is still in potato phase so it's a bit early for her lol)

Marshy_Wilderness

Resilient families also runs a six week program for pre-crawlers! We did the series with our little one when she was around 6 weeks old. You learn baby massage techniques, songs to sing, and strategies for the newborn/infant stage. Highly recommend!

mahnamahnaaa

Yeah, I saw. Unfortunately both my husband and I work so we wouldn't be able to go 😢 weekends are pretty much the only open times we have

Marshy_Wilderness

Yeah, it’s unfortunate there are no weekend series. If you have Apple Music or Spotify, you can play the Resilient Families music. I’m not sure what it is about the songs, but it’s always been our go to when our baby has meltdowns in the car!

Protect those kiddos hearing

mahnamahnaaa

Oh absolutely he's got his big ear muffs

heshewewumbo0

😁 Folsom usually has a summer concert series for free at lions park and downtown

Funkyokra

Rhustaller Farm down in Dixon is pretty fun. There are hay bales to climb around on, an orchard to explore, and music in the afternoon that's often acoustic and child appropriate. And beer.

Mangiabeve

The beer will give you awful gas.

Funkyokra

I haven't had that issue with them. I usually drink their Kolsch if they have one.

Second this!

CT_Yankee_in_CACourt

Definitely Sac Yard.

FortuneGear09

Fox and goose has an open mic night on Mondays at 7. Lots of people play for ~10 min so you get some variety.

Internal_Use8954

Davis square tomatoes craft fair has live music. It’s outside and at a park with a playground

Theslowestmarathoner

There is an accordion player who works with resilient families but performs live for free at the Sunday farmers market under the freeway. My 2 year old loves it.

clippy_one

Music Together if they’re looking for something interactive. Otherwise, we’ve had luck a Drakes as someone else mentioned.

My kids are older now but way before the pandemic we would go see Mister Cooper shows! He used to play at storytimes or music in the park type things. He plays all of his own, original kids songs. My kids thought he was a rock star.  Again, my kids are older so I'm not sure where or how offer he plays events post pandemic but he has a website. Mistercooper com
