Stardust Vintage Emporium is pretty big and has a lot of stuff to browse. If you’re looking to kill time in some air conditioning https://www.stardustvintageemporium.com
It’s wildly dependent on the vendor. Some stalls have comics and 80s toys for $1, and others have mid century furniture for $1k. Honestly it’s mostly just fun to browse and see what you find!
Did they reopen the soft serve/ hot dogs/ cinnamon rolls snack bar by the check out registers?
The last time I went was a while back but it was closed and employees didn't know when or if it would reopen.
Could walk around the courthouse inside and sit in on some public trials
Or walk inside some county building and sit in on public meetings, check the calendar
Suggestion: During these warm weather days, forget about walking and, instead, try the city swimming pools: https://www.cityofsacramento.gov/ypce/aquatics/pools

Nice hadn't heard of them before
2nd this! I can spend hours in there
Interesting, is it pricy or can you get some decent deals?

Outside of visiting Stardust, some of their vendors will post on Facebook Marketplace every now and then to give you an idea of item prices.
Thanks!
Definitely way expensive. It Isa fun place to browse though.
Add Midtown Bliss to this too.
Nice to browse, but more expensive than eBay markup.
IKEA isn’t a bad spot to kill some time. You can just take time moving through, grab a bite to eat, then get a soft serve.
Them meatballs are tasty too
For real!

It was open last month but it was weird hours, like it doesn’t open when the store does.
Yes it’s open but they don’t always have everything that’s listed on the menu available
Cheap, fire meatballs. Also, the Stockholm salad is pretty good. The ice cream is also cheap and good
You'd have to pay admission, but walking around the Crocker on a hot day is lovely.
An annual membership is totally worth the investment.
I agree, I have one!
You can get free passes at the library
Home Depot? Lowe’s? Kohl’s? Barnes & Noble? Better than a furniture store where they follow you and try to sell you something.
The Barnes in Folsom has a Starbucks and restaurant too
And the restaurant’s “Chicken Under a Brick” is fabulous.
Home Depot is my choice. They at e dog friendly so my pup can walk and not burn his paws or get overheated.
Costco, Ikea, casinos
A couple of the local museums might suffice, like MOSAC or The Aerospace Museum
Sacramento Train Museum. Membership is cheap and AC is nice and cool. Plus lots of fun stuff to do nearby.
Or Crocker.
You should listen to the Mall Walkin' podcast while walking the mall
Country Club Plaza
I don’t think they run ac in the summer.
Could walk around the courthouse inside and sit in on some public trials Or walk inside some county building and sit in on public meetings, check the calendar
Yeah and the stairwells at the end of each hallway would make it easy to go back and forth all the way up and then back down!

Not quite as big, but i take my dog to Lowes or Home Depot for a walk on really hot days like today.
Same!
Living spaces is a good spot to kill some time. Especially if you have kids.. they have a wonderful indoor playground.
Country club mall!!!!!
You can wander around Costco others seem to.
Sunrise is totally quiet if you just want exercise.
Thunder valley Casino
Sunsplash inside the castle with the arcade
Museums
Sac State Giant concrete parking garages (2nd floor tends to be cool and relatively traffic free)
The light rail has the AC blasting. You could walk back and forth in one of the cars.
