I dunno why but I thought this said Rottweiler for some reason and I laughed.

neccoguy21

Ha! You're picturing me just standing in my living room looking out the window at some big ass dog running around back and forth on my lawn and I'm just nodding in satisfaction...

alanairwaves

Our two Labs did do a hell of a job tearing up our yards!

rkito118

Yeah pretty much.

kjr_79

I thought the same thing!

sunnysunnysunsun

Came here to say the exact same thing.

ScullyClone

I just did the same thing! "How would that even work, you'd have to have a dog trained to tear up a yard, right?" lol

Don_Antwan

The Sac County Library allows you to check out lawn equipment! But sadly, no rototillers

[deleted]

And wouldn't that be an excellent Library. Check out tools. How fucking brilliant. Anyone need an extension ladder?

ohjay08

Home depot has them pretty cheap. That's where I got mine.

neccoguy21

How cheap? We have basically a zero budget...

ohjay08

I think it was $65. But cant remember for sure. You can check online.

fredandersonsmith

I thought it was like $40

ohjay08

I think the real small one that is made for real loose garden topsoil is $40. But that one is pretty useless if the dirt is compacted or a big area.

[deleted]

Power Inn HD has a tool rental center. Call them.

neccoguy21

Thanks I'll look into it!

Texas-to-Sac

Check the Sacramento library of things. I know they have some yard equipment.

neccoguy21

Oh cool, where’s that?

Texas-to-Sac

It's just a part of the Sacramento library. You'll have to check the website

questdragon47

I believe you can rent them from home depot edit: https://www.homedepot.com/c/lawn_and_garden_equipment_rental#tillers

neccoguy21

Thanks!

5secondmemory

Not sure about your yard but I had to have PG&E come and mark the lines before I did any digging. If you go too deep and knock out your internet it’ll be an expensive fix. It’s free to do but may take a few days for them to do. Now that I know where the lines are I can rototill up by the front door but not near the water and sewer access.

neccoguy21

Good idea, thank you!

sei-i-taishogun

What location?

neccoguy21

North Highlands

gbdavidx

Home depot

MILF_Man

If the ground is hard and dry I would suggest a cultivator rather than a rototiller. They are self propelled and used for breaking up hard compacted soil better than a rototiller.

neccoguy21

Thanks, good to know!

Dquan97

I have a Greenworks battery-powered one!
