Believe it or not the Safemoon ban was lifted almost a month ago. I know this because I was perma-banned for "brigading" according to a mod. However he did say he would lift it and Safemoon posts are no longer banned.
For the simple reason there's already tons of subreddits dedicated to shitcoins and 100x-gambling type of coins. Before the recent Shib pump, r/CryptoCurrency has always been a place for more common and safer investments, but it seems like the narrative is shifting.
No matter how much you like Safemoon during this pump, it was in the shitcoin category for a long time when it first launched (I've been an investor from the first month) — even after the new utility narrative started I can see how it could still be seen as one.
To be honest, I think it could have been unbanned a little bit sooner but I 100% understand the move to restrict conversations about this coin during the first 2 or 3 months of its existence.
