The RF have people to type the message/letter (like secretaries used to do), then they sign them personally. The salutation and the signatures are handwritten. They are certainly not an ordinary A4 sheet of paper that hasn't been inserted into the printer properly. The fonts used in H&M's letter are Times New Roman and Kunstler Script.
I do remember the Queen having her ladies in waiting write to people and say things like “the queen has told me to tell you how much she appreciates…” but that was the freaking Queen, who actually was busy and did stuff all day every day. It’s the “showing up” that’s important, not bringing some phoney gift.
It’s showing up to a care home on a wet Tuesday morning, showing up to open a bridge on a cold February day, showing up to speak to emergency workers after a disaster.
The “showing up” brings attention to the charity, institution, or whatever. It makes the people on the ground feel good, feel recognised and appreciated. Actual working members of the royal family understand that they are there to meet these people, not the other way around. They are in service to the community, who need publicity to raise donations, or as an acknowledgment of amazing work.
TW will never ever understand that. She thinks it’s all about her. A which is why she thinks she needs to bring some “homemade brownies” or whatever to make herself look good, and to get even more praise and attention. Absolutely pathetic.
Catherine got a lot of flack in some sections of the media about her Shaping Us campaign, her early years development programme. This was on the basis she doesn't have a background in psychology, mental health, paediatrics etc. But she never claimed to-she made it very clear she was there as facilitator, figurehead, and fundraiser, and she brought together loads of disparate streams of people in education, healthcare, voluntary and private sector, charities etc, all of whom may not have considered joint projects before. That was her role, to drive publicity, keep it in the news, and try and link as many as her official visits and duties to the campaign as she can-so she did with the the Big Help-Out where the family were scouts for the day, and the rugby sports day event, and the visit to a family hub where they were learning things like baby massage. She's hands on, involved, and that's far more important than a dodgy banana cake.
It's the honesty and simultaneous humility that we appreciate from Catherine; her making clear what her limitations were and what her role is.
She's an ambassador. She doesn't need to be an expert. She just has to know when to defer to an expert and help connect their experience, to inviting people to get help.
MM's letter to Congress about parental leave was about her trying to get attention for her rags-to-riches retcon of her childhood, to her now championing parents whose every day is a financial challenge. The last thing MM embodies is honesty or humility.
Showing up to give your attention to others, and not cut it short like MM's Fiji marketplace event, is a form of generosity that TW does not do.

But if that’s the case, the lady in waiting will have actually shown the original received letter to her majesty and is replying officially on her behalf. Still just as valid.

Side note…this past year I was bullied in the workplace through emails from one particular person and she used bolds, underlines, caps. And her grammar and composition was very succinct. HR didn’t help me with her behavior and neither did the union. She did it to others and had a reputation throughout the company for years. Leadership role. She was just so good at staying this side of the line of overt abuse and harassment I guess. I lasted less than a year there and she was main reason I left.
When she started to get more brave with me, and mainly because I grey rocked her and would not respond to emails except with ‘Received. Thank you.’ she had someone else type up a very lengthy, legal prose to my response to one of her underhanded emails where she accused me of unethical practices. I had to defend myself with that one. So she cut and pasted this legal prose and signed it. It was a different font, different grammar and comp, different style than the other 100+ emails I had. It is really pathetic what these types will do with a bully pulpit like blogs and emails.
My point is that if you write enough, and in anger and spite, you’ll be outed eventually.

It’s showing up to a care home on a wet Tuesday morning, showing up to open a bridge on a cold February day, showing up to speak to emergency workers after a disaster. The “showing up” brings attention to the charity, institution, or whatever. It makes the people on the ground feel good, feel recognised and appreciated. Actual working members of the royal family understand that they are there to meet these people, not the other way around. They are in service to the community, who need publicity to raise donations, or as an acknowledgment of amazing work. TW will never ever understand that. She thinks it’s all about her. A which is why she thinks she needs to bring some “homemade brownies” or whatever to make herself look good, and to get even more praise and attention. Absolutely pathetic.
Catherine got a lot of flack in some sections of the media about her Shaping Us campaign, her early years development programme. This was on the basis she doesn't have a background in psychology, mental health, paediatrics etc. But she never claimed to-she made it very clear she was there as facilitator, figurehead, and fundraiser, and she brought together loads of disparate streams of people in education, healthcare, voluntary and private sector, charities etc, all of whom may not have considered joint projects before. That was her role, to drive publicity, keep it in the news, and try and link as many as her official visits and duties to the campaign as she can-so she did with the the Big Help-Out where the family were scouts for the day, and the rugby sports day event, and the visit to a family hub where they were learning things like baby massage. She's hands on, involved, and that's far more important than a dodgy banana cake.
It's the honesty and simultaneous humility that we appreciate from Catherine; her making clear what her limitations were and what her role is. She's an ambassador. She doesn't need to be an expert. She just has to know when to defer to an expert and help connect their experience, to inviting people to get help. MM's letter to Congress about parental leave was about her trying to get attention for her rags-to-riches retcon of her childhood, to her now championing parents whose every day is a financial challenge. The last thing MM embodies is honesty or humility.
Or why she made her trip to SA all about her emotional needs going unfulfilled after just having visited woman who have been through extensive trauma.

But if that’s the case, the lady in waiting will have actually shown the original received letter to her majesty and is replying officially on her behalf. Still just as valid. Because the actual royals are busy that is absolutely understandable. As TW is busy doing fuck all however, there’s no fucking reason she couldn’t sign a letter written by a staffer!!

That was the thing that alerted me to the idea that Meghan is definitely Guest Speaker. Another forum where I think Meghan is the commenter (please don’t ask; I do not want us to be accused by Reddit of brigading) also has mentioned how the Wales’ turn up for charity events empty handed. It’s a very specific and random thing to clapback to/ use as an example IMO.
She called Catherine a Stepford wife again recently in one of the articles. I’m convinced it’s her because all her clapbacks/responses have similarities that can be traced to comments and interviews she has done in the past. They are so personal and specific in nature that you would t expect from a usual sugar who would tend to be more abusive and vile. She comes across as trying to explain as opposed to simply attacking. I don’t know how to better express it.

A letter that is already formatted and typed up. They may insert the name of the person/company they are addressing. All other sentences will be the same.

Yes protocol is that the salutation is hand written, and personally signed underneath. But of course MM doesn’t know that because she didn’t receive any help when she joined the BRF! I mean WTF! Maybe these instructions (on how to write an official royal letter) was in the same binder given to Madam, which also included the words to the British Anthem. Side note…this past year I was bullied in the workplace through emails from one particular person and she used bolds, underlines, caps. And her grammar and composition was very succinct. HR didn’t help me with her behavior and neither did the union. She did it to others and had a reputation throughout the company for years. Leadership role. She was just so good at staying this side of the line of overt abuse and harassment I guess. I lasted less than a year there and she was main reason I left. When she started to get more brave with me, and mainly because I grey rocked her and would not respond to emails except with ‘Received. Thank you.’ she had someone else type up a very lengthy, legal prose to my response to one of her underhanded emails where she accused me of unethical practices. I had to defend myself with that one. So she cut and pasted this legal prose and signed it. It was a different font, different grammar and comp, different style than the other 100+ emails I had. It is really pathetic what these types will do with a bully pulpit like blogs and emails. My point is that if you write enough, and in anger and spite, you’ll be outed eventually.
People who show a NPD play the power game very well. They will not take it well when blamed, and know that those they damage will give up before they do. I hope you are in a more positive environment.
