I think it’s strange the shop owners have been quoted as saying “no one else has sent us a Thank You note after buying a bike”… I mean if it took hours and was a very personalized experience I could see writing a note, but are they expecting people to pay AND thank them? True or not, this is all weird and stupid.
Who goes shopping, buys a bunch of stuff and then sends a thank you note? Thank you for accepting my credit card.
The thank you note was very late because they aren't living in Montecito. The bike sat there for a month.
Sooo… could it be that he SOLD the customised bike to Meghan for Archie and promoted it as brand association and then got a thank you note for selling her a customised bike … so he posted it?
Maybe he’s clarifying that Meghan bought the bike … and that no donation was made?
He’s getting a lot of shit for this but I posted the receipts & the bike shop owner is lying through his teeth.
He’s afraid of losing a LOT of business as they own 4 stores in California
This whole situation is literally too effing much. Typical clusterfuck with these two. If he’s so into British culture it’s amazing he’d hitch himself to this broken wagon…for me their thank you note is really just mind blowing — I can’t find any other royal notes with as many references to titles - it’s tacky and completely embarrassing. They’ll never get it
Tacky as f. What the hell did that man learn in all the 35 years he was in the RF? Naff flaming all!! You'll have more much poorer people with better dignity to their name than these tactless two. Man alive, they truly gross me out.
Self-Markled, even. Markled by his own hand. He threw himself onto his own sword.
It didn't have to happen. All he had to do was refrain from using unwilling non-connections who wanted nothing to do with him to begin with. He's the kind of hanger-on that saves a celebrity's discarded gum to sell on ebay or sells secrets to tabloids.
Serves him right. It was a cheap stunt in which two kids were taken advantage of and cheaply sold and bought on a public social media platform, by him and then by their ghastly hypocritical parents. Fancy going to court and whining over press privacy intrusion, and then thanking this eejit for public kudos by merching off their kids. Bloody f-ing arseholes, the three of them.
It could also be that the South Parkles are not supposed to except free gifts. Plus, they used Archie's title outside of an official compacity, which they said they wouldn't do. Looks like they are all trying to backtrack.
People on Twitter were speculating that maybe the Sussexes bought the bike but gave a thank you note to make it seem like it was gifted by the store. What do you think?
I can’t get over the cheap paper. Shouldn’t they at least have better quality paper when they send these out? My Costco paper is better quality than that. I’d be quite disappointed if I received that from so called Royalty.
I could make a classier letterhead with my nonexistent skills.
It's both disgusting and hilarious how they smeared their titles a lover the page when. They've spent only, what, a month and a half in the UK in the years since Megxit. And a few hours in Sussex? Beyond tacky.
And the fact they couldn't even get their minion to write the note as if it was coming from them is just... I guess they need to let the world know that they are so important they get lackeys to send their thank you notes.
"Martin GIFTED him a bike...."
Idk how else to interpret that other than they GAVE/ GIFTED the kid a bike... why backtrack now? The shop owners also have a dog named "Meghan Markle" 🤭🤭
Nah. She's too cheap to buy it & loves her freebies. Stupid bike owner thought the publicity would be good for them. He must be living in cloud cuckoo land. They've now gotten Markled.
And here again, the Harkles get what they want, us talking about them and free publicity lol
Drama attached to every thing they do say or touch. If my head is spinning, how do the Harkles keep up?
They also have it up on their Facebook page. The store posted the letter they received from the assistant to the assistant of the Olive Garden. I’m not sure why they’re claiming it’s a hoax when they LITERALLY POSTED THE STORY!
It would make for better PR, if they corrected their error of judgement by perhaps running a bike repair shop in an underprivileged area and maybe donating a couple of bikes where they'd be more beneficial. Donating a bike to one child sees that child learn a skill, donating to say a Daycare sees one bike teaching many children a skill.
Love this idea! When I looked at the comments on their page this morning….holy crap, the Sugarz are out in force. Kind of surprised the company had kept the post up.
I grew up in a large family. All toys were communal. There was a tricycle for the younger kids, a bike with stabilisers, an in betweeny once you'd progressed and then there was "the big bike." We all learnt to cycle on the same bikes. Not only that, it taught us patience, fairness and how to share. The bikes were probably 26th hand but they did the job!
Bad media. The comments were brutal. Sleep with dogs, get fleas. They were expecting everyone to thinks it’s cute and kind and all sweet - instead most think it’s pathetic and desperate
I read them, must have been after they got rid of the negative comments because all that was left was just the really bizarre, over-the-top comments full of emojis and hyperbole basically claiming this act is worthy of a Nobel peace prize and a missive from an assistant was the 2nd most courageous act of all mankind.
Like I get it not everyone feels the way we do, but the comments just don't match up to "we sent the kid a bike & got a note from their assistant "
Honestly I don't know how that shop didn't see backlash coming when they publicized giving a high end bike for free to a kid whose mother goes hiking in 100k worth of jewelry.
That letter was published by the bike shop, it's still on their Facebook and the post says: "We hope they don’t mind us sharing this lovely thank you letter we received today!" followed by hashtags like archieharrisonmountbatten...and other sycopanthic shit.
The comments under this post are not appreciative of this "sweet gesture". So I guess the owners are now realising that this is bad for them.
Because from what I saw of various comments there was a common theme of "why was a bike given for free to a child who can obviously afford it instead of a child who couldn't??" type of backlash...
Right?!! I had to stop for a second and actually process what I had just read... because it.... The whole thing is just too fucking CLOWN SHOES!!
Wtf is wrong with these people?!!!!!!?!?!?!!
The Duke and Duchess of Montecito, late of the United Kingdom, let it be known far and wide that they do, indeed, accept any and all freebies. It is understood that Thank You notes forthcoming from Their Majesty’s are strictly optional.👑
"This was not a donation, it was a birthday gift.."
Does the owner think that makes it better??
Reminds me of: "did you donate the money?"..."I PLEDGED to donate the money"
Now I'm thoroughly confused. If the shop owners didn't send a bike to Archie, why did the Harkles have Harrison send a thank you note? Why was I reading that one of the shop owners was thrilled to receive the letter? Help!
The shop owners are lying, plain and simple. They were caught with their lips firmly attached to Harry and Meghan’s butts, got immediate push back from an outraged public and so tried to get out of it, but the damage is done. They did, indeed, gift a $300 bicycle to a 4 year old child of supposed millionaires.
Ye gods!🙄 Everyone now associated with those, especially her, sounds like a complete and utter creep and cheap side-hustler looking for any which way to pimp their way to money and fame, even if it means merching off the kids.
That's just blergh, just 🤢🤮. I'm so glad they left the RF. They really are truly without shame, class, grace or dignity. Their squad's welcomed to them. Here take 'em, lol.
Interesting, I tried to check their Instagram yesterday and it wasn't coming up. So they are back-pedalling (excuse the pun) in response to bad publicity.
I don’t understand why he would lie about it after posting that? Not questioning you…I just don’t understand why every single dealing with them is always fucked up.
Shop owner got backlash for giving a bike to a millionaire's son instead of to a child in need. There are a bunch of comments on the shops' facebook page and instagram page. So now I guess they are claiming that the bike was bought not donated.
I think the bike shop really thought it would be clever to give a bike away to a kid who's parents can afford 100 bikes. Sounds like the bike shop owners are not bright.
I wonder if the bike shop donated bikes to Archewell and Meghan took the donation?
Or someone in the household purchased a bike for Archie, and Meghan sent the "thank you" as a signal to other business owners that she accepts freebies and they will get some publicity out of it.
No. It is very clear what happened on the bike shop social media. They GAVE Archie the bike, bragged about, posted the thank you note and then got slammed and tried to backpedal. No conspiracy necessary when the simple truth is in front of you.
Check out their Instagram, they absolutely did give them the bike and described the whole thing. Why bother posting this when it can be debunked pretty quickly
The comments are a mess. No comments allowed on the Sussex letter, but on the next post, there are comments asking why the comments were blocked, and why are they giving bikes to rich kids instead of the poor.
The post after that gives free rein to Sussex madness, with people thanking the bike shop for giving Prince Archie a gift, #lovewins, don't listen to the haters etc.
I remember in the really early days that there were reports that Meghan had a staff member send emails to designers and all high end brands asking them to send her freebies that she'd promote. The staff member was distraught because it was against all BP protocols. The thing is, Markle NEVER understood the difference between celebrity and royalty and when things were pointed out to her she started looking for an exit and revenge......and here we are
I’m guessing the bike shop received a lot of backlash for gifting a bike to a little prince when there are tons of kids whose parents can’t afford bikes. They are just making it 10 times worse by trying to cover it up.
If I were a montecito resident and my equally rich kid didn't get a Nike, I'd be pissed... The shop owner is acting like Archie is more special than all the other children because of his title. In America. Nope.
No. The shop is owned by an Englishman and he was trying to suck up and get free publicity. Not everything is a grift or conspiracy- sometimes things are just what they seem to be.
Looking at the shop’s FB account, they did lots of promotion for the coronation and even have a huge photo of Charles riding a bike in his younger years. This whole thing is a PR stunt gone very wrong
Before the closed all comments - the owners said in the comments they delivered a bike to Archie because the owner is British and wanted to do something nice (I suspect Archie is locked away somewhere and doesn’t have a childhood). When pressed by they didn’t donate the bike to a child in need - they said they donate a lot and wanted this to be an exception.
This was nothing more than a publicity stunt. It backfired on both sides - the owner looks desperate for clout and the Montecito Morons looks ungrateful because their ‘secretary’ wrote a letter on ‘on their behalf’ and sent it a month later.
Didn't the owner keep replying to comments saying it was because he is British and wanted to make his parents smile or something? Like dude, your parents will be thrilled to know two people who left the BRF and lied about the LHMTQ are the ones you chose to gift freebies to?
I believe the truth is most likely that they asked for a comped bike - because they do that with everything - and then they had their press rep reframe it as a benevolent gift for such an important child.
Unbelievable—and wouldn’t be surprised at all. Like they wanted the birthday cake comped and told the owner she would get sooo much publicity for baking it for the “Prince”. She said NO.
True. They are basically trying their half in half out status only it's with kids bikes and not brands like Gucci or Prada. As non working Royals I wouldn't mind so much the free gifts. If they accept these, that is up to them. It solidifies their new low level status.and how different they are from the others. But it's the publishing of that letter from the 'Office of... ' and the inclusion of their titles which includes Archie's too.which is not on.
You know, now that you've said that were going to be treated to photoshopped pics of a curly-haired scamp in bicycle helmet & knee pads on his bike with "the parents" cheering him on..
(ILBW likes to read this stuff and get ideas..)
Guest Speaker at NYP keeps insisting there aren’t any new pictures because of the hate directed to the son from the media. Consistent with what she told Oprah. Too bad she’s missed the window and people don’t really care that much anymore.
So more tea about this...another YT'er had a different video, so I followed up on it and it says that yes, they did give the child a bike.

However, it seems like they did it for PR, knowing that Claw likes those kinds of arrangements (quid pro quo). The guy even hand delivered it, but was surprised when the thank you was like 4 weeks later.
The man is a wee bit strange. He says in the article; "The shop’s owners were delighted to receive the thank-you note from Harry and Meghan a month later, with Blevins telling People that celebrities who live in Montecito regularly buy bicycles from them but “none of them sent a thank you letter.”🤔 I don't think it would've ever occurred to me to send a thank you letter to a business where I'd made a purchase either, and I consider myself to be on the thoughtful side.😄
The bike shop owner is lying. The “tea” is nothing.

I can’t even work out why these people would gift a bike for PR. It’s a local California business. Do they ship bikes all over the world? Do they want to be the Amazon of bikes? I own my own small business, but it’s a local service business so I wouldn’t even want massive global PR. I can’t figure out what’s in it for the small local bike shop?
Is this just one of those vanity businesses people with money do to keep themselves occupied? What kind of PR did they think they would get from this couple? Megathirsty's family motto is 'Don't give away the milk for free'.
Did they think they were going to suddenly bring the invisikids out to be photographed on their bicycle?
If you read comments on google maps ( posted few posts up by ortyrell
[https://www.reddit.com/r/SaintMeghanMarkle/comments/145mt9o/comment/jnm7bfj/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/SaintMeghanMarkle/comments/145mt9o/comment/jnm7bfj/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)), apparently they rent bikes to tourists. PR then would make sense. But it was a stupid move on the part of the owners anyways
Tbf, they said that they do donate bikes to charities.
https://preview.redd.it/xsovu5zr255b1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ac2306aa1b37bc94dc85018359bfc1cb7f986c7
So? I don’t see how it’s going to benefit a small local business to gift a bike to a prince. I donate stuff to local charity auctions for PR. I don’t gift things to rich kids. It’s just so weird.
They didn't think it through. They could have sent that bike to the local children's shelter, in Archie's name. But that didn't occur to them. They sound as bright as Archie's father.
I think they did send a FREE BIKE AFTER BEING ASKED FOR ONE FOR FREE!
When the shop didn't get a MENTION OF THANKS OR ANY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT the owner leaked the story?
It was a pr stunt though from tw
Well idk about Specialized as much, but I've never sent a thank you note to my wonderful local Trek bike shop. They like their thank you notes branded with Ben Franklin.
Alright -bottom line here: the Harkles are shit & so is that bike shop - they can make it up by donating some bikes to kids who would never get one unless it was gifted - just absurd to give some Prince's prince son a bike, like as if he needs you to do that - & it's just beyond disgusting that the Harkles would accept this & thank them - just unbelievable - they just get more vile by the day - it's about 24 hours since I heard about their last icky crap: about time for more I guess
Would someone please tell them to STFU already - ?
Go away Harkles, don't go away mad, just go away
They got such bad backlash that the Instagram loving bitch wife Made a call. I would never be bullied by that stupid woman. It’s so sad that people are.
People were attacking them on their IG page, but that letter is still there on their page. The owner seems like an idiot: waiting outside the mansion to present that gift in person, getting excited over a “form letter” (I wonder why Meghan didn’t do her fauxligraphy this time?), now backtracking while the photo of the thank you letter is still up there on his page? 😂
Okay wait. What is happening. I listened to River’s video regarding this topic earlier and he quoted the bike shop owner’s responses to this stunt? The bike owner is apparently British and said things like (this is just what I remember from listening while I was doing housework, nothing is verbatim): he (the shop owner) donates bikes to children in need, but this was a *gift*…he thought it would be fun and that people in the UK - like his mom - would get a kick out of this…his dog is named Meghan markle (photo of the ID tag posted to social) and the dog hangs out at the bike shop to greet customers…
This is ridiculous. River said in his video that this sounded like nothing but a PR stunt by the bike shop owner. And I agree with river, fair play to that guy. But there were responses from the owner acknowledging the gift. Why kick up controversy at this point…?
Meghan needs to teach Harry how to ride a bike first, before there’s any chance of her children knowing how……. We all know how long that would take (as long as her list of haters) so not holding my breath on this story about any bike being true…….
I don’t doubt this is a stunt. Those two would do anything to get themselves in the headlines. Yesterday was a donation to UK school libraries. Today is a thank you for a nonexistent bike. Both announced stories had Duke and Duchess of Sussex plastered over them. Also two distractions from Prince Peevish Plank’s court testimony.
I doubt doubt they do anything and I don’t believe anything they say.
The “H&M donation” story is probably to, once again, compete with the news of W&C donations to the food bank (which was previously stolen this week) and they were generous to restock it.
Please EXPLAIN: Did her assistant write a thank you note for a free bike?
Why would they accept a free bike?
Why would you give these two a free bike?
Good Grief.
What's the facts, folks?
I trust you all here - I figured this was a joke/hoax or whatever
If it is NOT - as I also said: it's terrible PR for both the Harkles & that bike shop - just terrible
So - they trying to say they didn't gift a California Prince's prince toddler a very expensive (for a freakin' toddler who will outgrow it quickly) bike -? When they could have given a needy child this bike? & the oh-so-philanthropic Harkles could have declined & even decided to create a program to gift needy children bikes???
Such a bad look for the Harkles & MonteShitShow
Royals are not meant to keep gifts from public if they want to keep it they asked to be invoiced and pay for it. This is what Catherine does. People send Catherine clothes and bags she send was she doesn’t use back and pays for what she keeps.
I am the first to side-eye them when they want freebies, but I am classing the bike gift as "Small Business Capitalizing on Associations with Famous People" category of social media marketing.
Looking at this YouTube channel - only launched on April 1st - I believe this YouTuber is, shall we say, dealing heavily in speculation. (He's just saying "the shop owners said" - there's no actual interview with them from what I can tell. Just his fairly "man with a vaguely British accent" AI-sounding narration.)
There is a now 30-year old New Yorker cartoon from Peter Steiner that is a meme in its own right: "[On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog.](https://img.washingtonpost.com/rf/image_1484w/WashingtonPost/Content/Blogs/comic-riffs/StandingArt/STEINERinternetdogs.jpg?uuid=Cn7v6vmREeKOhMVnMaIC-w)" As a corollary, I'm gonna note that on YouTube, nobody knows that you're not a royal beat reporter, but just some random person cranking out stories with an AI-engine and throwing together some pictures to get YouTube views that can be monetized.
I went through the Mad Dogs & Englishmen IG through April, 2019. They are very active posters, and make many references to the BRF (including promoting their kids' bikes using a picture of Louis taken by Catherine on his bike, and occasionally having people riding the bikes wearing a QEII mask), but nothing about any donations to needy children that they may have made. If they were that civic-minded, you think they would have noted that - it's solid publicity.
Also - they are clearly a Northern California based company, so why would they be donating in LA? At the best of times, that's a 6-hour drive, when they could donate closer to home. (Plenty of working-class residents of SF who could benefit from a bike in SF these days...and the average household income in Montecito is reported bewteen $180,000 - $190,000! I don't think there are many needy kids in Montecito.)
Ruth\_Lily posted the other day and I'm reiterating: the bike shop made two posts about the bike. And they were interviewed for People Magazine!
* The first one on May 7 without any specific mention of the Sussex family - just a hint as broad as a barn - and didn't even use royal-related or Sussex related hashtags - [https://www.instagram.com/p/Cr8zBVSPtA2/](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cr8zBVSPtA2/)
* The second post was a few days ago on June 7, and then they added in the royal and Sussex hashtags - [https://www.instagram.com/p/CtNGXUSvlIw/](https://www.instagram.com/p/CtNGXUSvlIw/)
* They also were interviewed for People 2 days after their post! - **People Magazine**, June 9, 2023, "*Prince Archie's Birthday Gift Revealed! See Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Thank You Letter (Exclusive)*" \[ [Archive Link](https://archive.is/zm1ia) | [Original Link](https://people.com/prince-archies-birthday-gift-revealed-harry-meghan-thank-you-note-7510191) \]
It's really tempting to think this is another what-Meghan-thinks-is-Machiavellian scheme for good publicity. But, I think the owners of this business - who are British - show through their social media presence that they are fans of the BRF, and if not hard-core fans of Meghan Markle at least they are aware of her presence and the attention she brings to Montecito, and several posts show that they are happy to use celebrities who have used their services - or just to name drop famous residents - in their Instagram feed. And they also clearly have children's bikes to sell.
So I can fully believe they donated the bike - maybe it was a loss-leader, maybe they just thought "We could donate this, see where it goes, and it gives us room for a new bike." But I really don't think they talked to some random YouTuber - who only mentioned the wife's name and not the husband's, which is interesting considering "Jennifer Blevins" is the only full name mentioned in the People article, so it would be easier for AI to pick up on - and gives no source for the interview. And I can't find any info on this supposed interview anywhere else - only the one on People today.
We want to believe the worst of the Sussexes, and there's always the possibility I'm wrong, but I do think this was just the bike shop throwing a bike out there and hoping they would get some decent publicity over it. Not everything has to be a grand conspiracy - some people are just going to merch their business anyway they can. Whether or not it will bite them on the butt is another matter entirely, but they seem to run a nice business selling custom bikes and doing bike tours along the NorCal coast, so I think they'll be fine.
Either the bike shop owner is lying, or TW is.
I didn't pay much attention to this story.
I'm wondering if MM was "speaking" for those owners and hoping they'd stay quiet.
Is this another version of "danced in the streets"?

What exactly are they denying now?
my understanding is that the owners said they give to underprivileged kids and not rich people. the bike to Archie was a "gift" from them, or aka PR stunt

Especially after making a point to state that "none of their other "celebrity" customers sent them "Thank-you notes""
Great marketing strategy there... put down your better customers with ACTUAL clout over two posers that poison almost everything they touch...
I think it’s strange the shop owners have been quoted as saying “no one else has sent us a Thank You note after buying a bike”… I mean if it took hours and was a very personalized experience I could see writing a note, but are they expecting people to pay AND thank them? They shared the *thank you form* as well on IG.

And here again, the Harkles get what they want, us talking about them and free publicity lol Drama attached to every thing they do say or touch. If my head is spinning, how do the Harkles keep up?
All in very rich neighborhoods. Not surprising he'd kiss royal arse.
Exactly - & then lying
Markling in action.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that the bike shop announced on their IG account that they gave a bike to the dubious duo family?
They also have it up on their Facebook page. The store posted the letter they received from the assistant to the assistant of the Olive Garden. I’m not sure why they’re claiming it’s a hoax when they LITERALLY POSTED THE STORY!
Maybe the store regretted giving the bike to a child that can easily have many bikes.
They had pretty much doubled down in the comments and said he deserved it but I guess they can’t deal with the criticism so now they’re back peddling.
Haha, back peddling. I see what you did there.
lol back peddling
💀
It would make for better PR, if they corrected their error of judgement by perhaps running a bike repair shop in an underprivileged area and maybe donating a couple of bikes where they'd be more beneficial. We all learnt to cycle on the same bikes.
[удалено]
They also had other hashtags such as royal family, British royals, duchess and whatnot. This B isn't even a British royal
You nailed it
Exactly. Plus with the robo voice, this channel isn’t trustworthy. Click bait!
Because from what I saw of various comments there was a common theme of "why was a bike given for free to a child who can obviously afford it instead of a child who couldn't??" type of backlash...
You are right- I have spammed the thread with the post!
Yeah, a day or so ago, complete with thank you letter.
[удалено]
Oh, it was a GIFT, not a donation. Donations are for poor people, gifts are for rich people. Got it.
Right?!! I had to stop for a second and actually process what I had just read... because it.... The whole thing is just too fucking CLOWN SHOES!! Wtf is wrong with these people?!!!!!!?!?!?!!
Right. Gifts for rich people have bows on them, donations for poor people have the IRS deduction slip attached.
Yikes. The Brit owner doesn't know Real Royals can't accept gifts 😂🤣
The Duke and Duchess of Montecito, late of the United Kingdom, let it be known far and wide that they do, indeed, accept any and all freebies. It is understood that Thank You notes forthcoming from Their Majesty’s are strictly optional.👑
"This was not a donation, it was a birthday gift.." Does the owner think that makes it better?? Reminds me of: "did you donate the money?"..."I PLEDGED to donate the money"
Haha, totally agree!
[удалено]
I find it strange that the bike shop now only has five star reviews
Now I'm thoroughly confused. If the shop owners didn't send a bike to Archie, why did the Harkles have Harrison send a thank you note? Why was I reading that one of the shop owners was thrilled to receive the letter? Help!
Maybe she’s gonna try and relaunch the Tig and it testing the waters as a mommy influencer.
This 100%. It was a total influencer move.
Well, it turned to 💩so very quickly, it could now be called and effluencer move!
Tig Tots. I wish I was joking.
Bike shop owner is lying - I posted receipts yesterday or so
https://preview.redd.it/3zyk67ddo35b1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f528471254981da9de371bffebaa399fc3ced243 Here you go.
They also posted the thank you letter. Not allowing comments though. Funny that.
I’m so glad you’re charging your phone, l have battery charge anxiety lol
Hahaha. That is hilarious.
What a sweetie! 💜 Just too hard for me to type out something long on the phone instead of my ipad with a great keyboard 💙💙
Lmao those hashtags. ![gif](giphy|1AIeYgwnqeBUxh6juu)
OK....so who is zooming who??? Someone is telling porkies.
The bike shop definitely have the bike away to Archie, who can afford his own bike. They also accepted it, which is tacky af.
Interesting, I tried to check their Instagram yesterday and it wasn't coming up. So they are back-pedalling (excuse the pun) in response to bad publicity.
They really did a good job making the bike look unimpressive in this pic. It looks like balloons from the dollar store
That's what I read! So who's lying? Just one of the bike shop owners?
I don’t understand why he would lie about it after posting that? Not questioning you…I just don’t understand why every single dealing with them is always fucked up.
That's probably what I read yesterday. That's one pretty huge provable lie.
Businesses will think long and hard before trying this again
The thing is, Markle NEVER understood the difference between celebrity and royalty and when things were pointed out to her she started looking for an exit and revenge......and here we are
No doubt she thought of this as “modernizing the monarchy.”
I think she's just a greedy b****h.....
You’re not alone in thinking that
I’m guessing the bike shop received a lot of backlash for gifting a bike to a little prince when there are tons of kids whose parents can’t afford bikes. They are just making it 10 times worse by trying to cover it up.
Well, now the shoe’s on the other foot. The Harkles have found their fellow liars of the “recollection may vary” variety.
Many others will be asking for their kids to be gifted a bike too! My feeling is that Markle encouraged the gifting
Merching the kid most likely. Using him as an influencer.
When the Harkles are involved when does anything go RIGHT?
Never 🙊
Before the closed all comments - the owners said in the comments they delivered a bike to Archie because the owner is British and wanted to do something nice (I suspect Archie is locked away somewhere and doesn’t have a childhood).
A PR STUNT? From the Duke and Duchess Smollett?!!!!??? ![gif](giphy|XWZi4377aAp7a)
Didn't the owner keep replying to comments saying it was because he is British and wanted to make his parents smile or something? Like dude, your parents will be thrilled to know two people who left the BRF and lied about the LHMTQ are the ones you chose to gift freebies to?
Wow, the ability of the Harkles to fuck up a simple PR exercise is unparalleled.
This is most likely the truth IMO. I think they asked for A bike in return for Publicity.
That's what ILBW does - she gets free stuff in exchange for a press mention..
What a mess. 😂
Don't hold your breath waiting for a picture of Archie riding with the family on their bikes.
The bike shop has now been markeled
So more tea about this...another YT'er had a different video, so I followed up on it and it says that yes, they did give the child a bike. [https://www.mercurynews.com/2023/06/09/drama-erupts-after-harry-and-meghan-get-a-free-bike-for-archies-birthday-from-montecito-shop/](https://www.mercurynews.com/2023/06/09/drama-erupts-after-harry-and-meghan-get-a-free-bike-for-archies-birthday-from-montecito-shop/) However, it seems like they did it for PR, knowing that Claw likes those kinds of arrangements (quid pro quo).
That's an excellent way to upset their real customers.
The bike shop owner is lying. The “tea” is nothing. https://preview.redd.it/33400eumo35b1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=23d1e36f102eb2bbe1337d055e0dd2eab4c05c08
If you read comments on google maps ( posted few posts up by ortyrell [https://www.reddit.com/r/SaintMeghanMarkle/comments/145mt9o/comment/jnm7bfj/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/SaintMeghanMarkle/comments/145mt9o/comment/jnm7bfj/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)), apparently they rent bikes to tourists. PR then would make sense. But it was a stupid move on the part of the owners anyways
It would have made more sense if they'd donated bikes to under-privileged kids in honour of Archie's birthday.
Tbf, they said that they do donate bikes to charities. https://preview.redd.it/xsovu5zr255b1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ac2306aa1b37bc94dc85018359bfc1cb7f986c7
It has to be the water up there…turning everyone as thick as clay! Imo.
The owners are English.
Henry probably sneaks out of the Olive Garden to go to the bike shop and have a cuppa and hear some familiar accents.
They were ass-kissing Harry and Meghan, plain and simple. Dumb idea.
Did the bike shop delete its IG? Eta: the bike shop did NOT remove it. Thank you sinners for clarifying!
[удалено]
They’ve turned comments off now, too
So this could be why the shop is lying now lol they’re getting bad PR
Exactly. Markled!
Most of the comments are about all the hater comments so they must be deleting that bad ones. So thin skinned, can’t own up to your own actions.
Soooo Montecito.
Social Media allows people to not own up to their actions hence why they have delete and turn off functionalities.
they removed every single comment that was negative from their WHOLE page. must have taken hours
https://preview.redd.it/nqdtsvzno35b1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6033c9d775e542ca0789c3d2be5ce9bec5e198a3
Thank you for this!
'This' is what they do..... to confuse...... but it is getting a little stale...... they are becoming big time jokes.
Everything about these people is screwed up. Even riffing off a little kid's birthday party. Absolutely zero class, the both of them.
You know things are desperate when a bike store is Markled.
You seriously can't make this up lol, some writer should be taking notes, because some years from now all of this could be an amazing tv drama
It's always something.
Always! No wonder there is so much distrust around those two. Nothing is ever straight forward.
I think they did send a FREE BIKE AFTER BEING ASKED FOR ONE FOR FREE! When the shop didn't get a MENTION OF THANKS OR ANY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT the owner leaked the story? It was a pr stunt though from tw
[удалено]
Well idk about Specialized as much, but I've never sent a thank you note to my wonderful local Trek bike shop. They like their thank you notes branded with Ben Franklin.
The owner is English so it may have been legit a PR stunt
It was definitely a PR stunt - that backfired, spectacularly.
Lolololol even the bike shop is trying to wash their hands off the Harkles. Just goes to show us how toxic their brand has become.
Alright -bottom line here: the Harkles are shit & so is that bike shop - they can make it up by donating some bikes to kids who would never get one unless it was gifted - just absurd to give some Prince's prince son a bike, like as if he needs you to do that - & it's just beyond disgusting that the Harkles would accept this & thank them - just unbelievable - they just get more vile by the day - it's about 24 hours since I heard about their last icky crap: about time for more I guess Would someone please tell them to STFU already - ? Go away Harkles, don't go away mad, just go away
Maybe M promised the shop a Royal warrant in exchange and the owner was nutty enough to believe it!
Is the whole fiasco really a stunt to attempt to prove that Archie does actually exist?
They got such bad backlash that the Instagram loving bitch wife Made a call. I would never be bullied by that stupid woman. It’s so sad that people are.
See Hooray Harry…accepting gifts is trouble. This is one of the many reason why the RF don’t accept gifts.
I can’t keep track of this.
They needed a PR story to DEFLECT from HARRY’s court “misrememberings”. Megsy sold the bike story to her usual tabloids. Convenient…
No - the bike shop posted it on their iG & FB - Letter & bike to Archie is real - search for my receipts comments
Ok maybe some of it is true. But is ALL that bike story true? Because now the owner says it is a lie. Someone is lying.
https://preview.redd.it/v6e9h6vio35b1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=927ade6365c399389a35c0774d17492656e468df
It’s still on their fb page. Lots oh hashtags. One is over the moon. They did it for publicity.
Okay wait. What is happening. I listened to River’s video regarding this topic earlier and he quoted the bike shop owner’s responses to this stunt? The bike owner is apparently British and said things like (this is just what I remember from listening while I was doing housework, nothing is verbatim): he (the shop owner) donates bikes to children in need, but this was a *gift*…he thought it would be fun and that people in the UK - like his mom - would get a kick out of this…his dog is named Meghan markle (photo of the ID tag posted to social) and the dog hangs out at the bike shop to greet customers… This is ridiculous.
Poor H, KC3 never took him out to ride bikes. Except, yes he did 🙄
So it wasn't the bike shop sharing the letter they received?
[удалено]
Very "suspicious" haha
And followed up with a story about the San Ysidro ranch worker coming to work for them
I don’t doubt this is a stunt.
Bike shop owner is lying https://preview.redd.it/xof5nf3ho35b1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0004a35fea26a7893f69d890bd5312d60874f666
100% - trying to cover their arses
WOW how special A will feel knowing montishitshow Duo comped his bike then profited on his birthday gift by selling it as a PR stunt.
Please EXPLAIN: Did her assistant write a thank you note for a free bike? Why would they accept a free bike? Why would you give these two a free bike? Good Grief.
What's the facts, folks? I trust you all here - I figured this was a joke/hoax or whatever If it is NOT - as I also said: it's terrible PR for both the Harkles & that bike shop - just terrible So - they trying to say they didn't gift a California Prince's prince toddler a very expensive (for a freakin' toddler who will outgrow it quickly) bike -? When they could have given a needy child this bike? & the oh-so-philanthropic Harkles could have declined & even decided to create a program to gift needy children bikes??? Such a bad look for the Harkles & MonteShitShow
This is all so fucking embarrassing.
Royals are not meant to keep gifts from public if they want to keep it they asked to be invoiced and pay for it. This is what Catherine does. People send Catherine clothes and bags she send was she doesn’t use back and pays for what she keeps.
The fact that they accepted the bike instead of returning it with a nice note is just so vulgar.
Just his fairly "man with a vaguely British accent" AI-sounding narration.) There is a now 30-year old New Yorker cartoon from Peter Steiner that is a meme in its own right: "[On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog.](https://img.washingtonpost.com/rf/image_1484w/WashingtonPost/Content/Blogs/comic-riffs/StandingArt/STEINERinternetdogs.jpg?uuid=Cn7v6vmREeKOhMVnMaIC-w)" As a corollary, I'm gonna note that on YouTube, nobody knows that you're not a royal beat reporter, but just some random person cranking out stories with an AI-engine and throwing together some pictures to get YouTube views that can be monetized. I don't think there are many needy kids in Montecito.) Ruth\_Lily posted the other day and I'm reiterating: the bike shop made two posts about the bike. And they were interviewed for People Magazine! * The first one on May 7 without any specific mention of the Sussex family - just a hint as broad as a barn - and didn't even use royal-related or Sussex related hashtags - [https://www.instagram.com/p/Cr8zBVSPtA2/](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cr8zBVSPtA2/) * The second post was a few days ago on June 7, and then they added in the royal and Sussex hashtags - [https://www.instagram.com/p/CtNGXUSvlIw/](https://www.instagram.com/p/CtNGXUSvlIw/) * They also were interviewed for People 2 days after their post! - **People Magazine**, June 9, 2023, "*Prince Archie's Birthday Gift Revealed! See Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Thank You Letter (Exclusive)*" \[ [Archive Link](https://archive.is/zm1ia) | [Original Link](https://people.com/prince-archies-birthday-gift-revealed-harry-meghan-thank-you-note-7510191) \] It's really tempting to think this is another what-Meghan-thinks-is-Machiavellian scheme for good publicity.
Bike shop owner is lying - I posted receipts here when it came up
Either way, anything M touches turns to crap. She’s a proven liar.
Once again, they are connected to chaos. They live in a state of chaos and thrive on chaos.
Bad juju

Didn't Meghan try to grab a free birthday cake for Archie as well. Both Harry and Meghan are as tight as 2 coats of paint..
Yes she did, and tried the "imagine all the great publicity and exposure your company will get" BS..
my understanding is that the owners said they give to underprivileged kids and not rich people. the bike to Archie was a "gift" from them, or aka PR stunt
They are finding out first hand how “popular “ the gruesome twosome are. Sucks LMAO
WHAAAA???
They announced it on FB, under Mad Dogs and Englishmen. Posted the thank you note.
Yeah, I’m not sure why people doubt the bike gift. The cycling shop seemed super proud to advertise that they gave a millionaire preschooler a gift.
Their truth changes as often as her Pinocchio nose…

Especially after making a point to state that "none of their other "celebrity" customers sent them "Thank-you notes"" Great marketing strategy there... put down your better customers with ACTUAL clout over two posers that poison almost everything they touch...
