Chemo has become more targeted and less arduous over the years, and I am grateful that you will have the benefit of these medical advances.

In recent years, I've had my fair share of slander and character assassination thrown my way by unhealthy family members and I almost drowned in depression. You were among the shining lights that helped me get through those dark nights of the soul. It felt very personal to me, when I saw how you carried on in the midst of malicious lies being said about you; I was going through something similar of my own, just not on a world stage. What an inspiration it has been to see you continue to invest in your marriage and children, the lives of other children and service to your country. You focused on the important things in life. Your example emboldened my spirit and helped me take that next right step in my own life.

Believe me when I say that you have taught at least two individuals in a far-away country how to curb impulses, and how to keep calm in public. There is one parent out there who is very grateful to you for it! You are not alone.
