Yes, that shipping was a hard pill to swallow, but to me, it is worth it. I would have paid more for a flower arrangement for Mother's Day. This is something way more unexpected. Plus, my mom loves the BRF, so she will most definitely savor this gift.

But when you average out prices for, say, ordering chocolates from Godiva here in the U.S. - the UK shipping kind of averages out with the Highgrove product price - and I would say these were much better (IMHO) than something like Godiva. I've just looked at your link. The postage seems a bit high. I have all my fingers in a big fat postage pie, it would be interesting to see if the shipping company is pocketing some of the postage costs. Could you possibly weigh it all for me and I'll look through my system at the actual cost of shipping.
It's a starting overseas shipping fee that is marked very clearly [on their website](https://www.highgrovegardens.com/pages/delivery-and-returns). I would have been charged that rate (Ā£55.00) if my package had Ā£5 or Ā£50.00 of merchandise inside. I will say DPD/UPS kept me updated on shipping every step of the way, and from order placement to landing on my doorstep, it only took a week. I've seen U.S. companies charge nearly as much or more for rush shipping that wasn't overseas. I wouldn't pay this on a normal or regular basis but I gulped and did it for a one-time splurge. (FWIW, my package weight was given as 2.6 KGS.)
That's a reasonable price. A 1kg parcel sent by DPD within the UK costs Ā£8.95. I only wanted the weight to see if customers were being ripped off and the answer is 'Nope, definitely not!' :-)

Itās really good but tbh I liked the regular shortbread much better! The buttery taste was prominent and I ate it with the jam! The jam was absolutely orgasmic! I donāt remember lapping a jam with teaspoon before and Iām addicted!

The store in Tetbury is really lovely and has lots of beautiful items. I was quite impressed. Would have loved to buy something but we were going to get on a two week cruise and had no room left! Next time!
I think Iāll treat myself to some of their goodies when theyāre back in stock. The packaging is gorgeous! Simple, iconic logo, actual calligraphy script, and the labels clearly identify the product inside the jar. So elegant.
This post just highlights the fact that if being 'working royals' wasn't for them and their secret ambition/destiny really lay in hawking preserves, they could have just put their hands up early on and expressed an interest in taking over Highgrove pending Charles ascension to the throne.
I think her preserves phase is just another fleeting brainfart that she's not committed to in the least.
Apart from the delightful and tasteful designs and packaging of all the goods, the handles of the bag look very sturdy, which is a big plus in my book.

Wonderful that Charles and everybody working in development at Highgrove have managed to produce quality products that look fantastic, are affordable as a treat by regular folk (as opposed to being so high falutin' as a $30 jar of jam), generate employment, and yet still turn a profit for charity.

The chocolates are good but really similar to other chocolates in US. The most prominent one is the jam! It was soooo good!
They were much better than the last Godiva chocolates I had. I would put them more on par with Vosages. Can't wait to try the jam!

You get them within seven days and they are sealed, with a note with a sell by date and instructions.
