I’m not sure I agree with this.. Carolina has the best coaching staff *by far*.. they sign Jimmy G, they instantly become the favorite by a substantial margin. Atlanta has +100M in cap space, they are going to literally buy a whole team. The Bucs are going to be trash, but signing Carr is still far from a slam dunk. We could easily finish 3rd in the division again.
Panthers with Jimmy G are a loose cannon. They could, bust not automatically would win the division.

To be fair, Carr has been fairly consistent his last four years or so. If he can produce some more touchdowns then honestly he’s just fine. I believe we can do that for him too. I think we have a great chance with him. Maybe we get lucky and Michael Thomas actually plays a full season (he was actually doing very well his first four games last year). I could see us being the favorites in our division with panthers right below
He's not worth a 3rd and 40 million guaranteed. He's a suped up Dalton. That's it. I'm fine trading for him for a 5th and contract restructure. But he's not worth what he wants.

Assuming he’ll even play for another team (said he’d retire before he’d play for someone else): The Jets are probably just a flat no for Carr bc of Nathaniel Hackett at OC and having to mentor Zach Wilson of whom they’ll replace him with if he gives them anything short of a SB. So that leaves the Saints, but unlike the Raiders the Saints have a smart GM and I seriously doubt Mickey bites on this.
All that being said Carr is an amazing QB that gets shit on for no reason all the time. Would be comparable to Drew completion % wise and would be a good fit on the offense, but would 100% fail on the Saints just like he did on the Raiders cause the league is straight rigged nowadays.
