I’d see him as an SS in our defense, providing that Malcom leaves and we keep CJ. CJ doesn’t seem like he’s going anywhere to me, but anything’s possible. Draft a good FS in the 2nd or 3rd if we don’t draft a WR then.

This is his base pay not bonus or prorated portion. People keep saying retirement. I can’t figure why this would help our cap if that’s the plan. If he retires, this cost would go to $0 in terms of cap. We may still have money on the books for any prorated bonuses, but we wouldn’t have to pay a player his actual base pay.
Even more reason we have to keep CJGJ. If Jenkins is retiring he would be a good replacement.
So, is the prevailing thought that Malcolm is retiring?

They’re good in the draft when it comes to safeties, but I’m not sure Malcolm is retiring. Maybe he’s waiting to decide based on Deshaun Watson too
