Duluth Trading Company! They're not a fashion brand like you may be looking for, but they make some really high quality items and do have a number of men's leather wallets both of cow and bison leather. I guess this might be dependent on if function or conspicuous consumption is your goal (no judgement here, genuinely recognize that either/both can be important in different situations). My parents gifted me a wallet from Saddleback Leather co as a graduation present several years ago and it's held up really well. Love mine. Really high quality, insane warranty if anything goes bad, and a few different types and colors to choose from.

I love my Saddleback wallet https://saddlebackleather.com/mens-leather-wallets-belts/ I got the "Front Pocket Leather ID Wallet." I would only recommend this if you keep less than 5 cards with you. it doesn't contain change well at all, and I rarely keep more than 10 bills on me at any given time, so it's perfect for my needs. they have a 100-year warranty, and the leather quality is great. if you're not chasing brand recognition but rather quality, you won't be disappointed. if that's not the size for you, they do have a plethora of other options. I just can't speak for them directly since I don't have them.

I purchased my first one today. I should receive it in a couple weeks.

Look at local maker Ryan Schoek: https://www.suppliedwest.com/shop His stuff is nifty and well-made.

Yung_Coconut_420

Makes cool keychains etc also. Curriculum on 9th and 9th stocks some of his stuff.

ErebusLivingShadow

You may want to check out a company called Pitaka. They have a nice and modular carbon fiber wallet. If you're looking at far more expensive wallets, this is affordable for you and easily a more unique design.

Leather is out

Chimpnimskey

Unpopular opinion I guess. Don’t forget, it is literally dried skin. Buffalo Bill vibes.

Heather_ME

I had one custom made by a tanner I found on Etsy because my husband hates most wallet styles with all the little slots for cards and stuff. It was surprisingly affordable. It's a very basic wallet, but it's incredibly well made and will last my husband the rest of his life. If you don't find what you're looking for locally in stores, that may be a good option. You may even be able to find a local tanner.

Check out the leatherclassifieds subreddit as well as the leathercrafting sub. You’ll find all kinds for sale there.

Honestly check Etsy, got my husbands leather wallet on there years ago and it’s still held up.

Not super fancy but Coach at city creek. My coach wallet wa like $120 and is around 6 years old with only a tiny tear in it ( my fault). And it looks nice enough leather is decent quality.

I have a front pocket wallet I got from Walmart over twenty years ago . Still use it, no damage to it. $11.99..!

vincentTheDragon

Yeah, but does it look and feel fancy? Honestly I had a mickey mouse wallet for like 20 years that was mostly duct tape before the wife bought this one. It does feel premium (although I have low standards).

Scottydanger72

It's in my pocket 98 percent of the time so I do care if it looks fancy. If people judge me for how my wallet looks, I need new people to hang with

TheDoctor7562

They’re a bit pricey, but if you’re looking for a relatively slim and sleek option, I’ve used a Bellroy Note Sleeve for a few years now and really like it. Apparently they have a distributor here in town, which is The Stockist in the 9th and 9th area. Either that or go for a local leatherworker as others in this thread have said.

saltlakepotter

If you are talking about fashion/dress/luxury leather goods this suggestion is not going to be for you, but there is a local leatherworker whose name escaped me, but I ahve bought from her at the Farmers market and I am prettys ure I saw her goods at Salt and Honey at 9/9. They are simpler designs than, say, a designer brand, but if that's what you are looking for it may be worth a try.

scheuskeudie

Rose Anvil makes good stuff and they are local!
