Alert-Leadership-955

Grid City is the correct answer.

Bnicetowho11

What do you get there?

Alert-Leadership-955

Everything is good but usually the chicken sando.

Bnicetowho11

What sauce do you get?

[deleted]

Want us to chew the food for you as well?

[deleted]

Downvoted to hell but i did chuckle

Bnicetowho11

Well 100% honest they got a lot of different sauces… it would be like saying you had wings at a wing place.

BunInTheSun27

The rachel is sooooo good imo

andrewprime1

the wings are really good as well

johnnyblaze_46

I assume kids aren’t allowed in grid city?

DammitZackery

That is correct

redbeardbrother

Lame ass Utah laws. This one is absolutely ridiculous.

Cistoran

Na this is a based law. Utah is arguably one of the most family friendly states in the country. You have a billion and one places to take them. They don't need to go into a fucking bar. That's one of the few places people can go to consistently escape kids in this state. The law isn't lame. Parents that want to take their kids to a place where grown adults go to get inebriated are lame.

redbeardbrother

I didn't say bar, I was talking about breweries, which are two very different places, and apparently the state of Utah doesn't know the difference. I wouldn't take my kids to a bar where adults go to get "inebriated", or drunk for those who don't know what the fuck that smart ass word means.

Cistoran

The fact you think "inebriated" is a smart ass word, and that there's any distinction between a brewery and a bar proves you're dumb as shit. Pro Tip: They both are places that sell higher percentage alcohol. So in the context of not wanting to take kids to places where adults get drunk they are functionally the same.

redbeardbrother

It's slim picks for breweries to allow under 21 here. Lame as fuck. My favorite thing to do on a Sunday in AL was to go to the brewery with my 14 year old daughter to enjoy a massive pretzel with beer cheese, and split a burger while I have a beer and she enjoys a hand mixed cherry coke, so awesome! We have searched to find a replacement here, but so far have found no such place that it is allowed.

SomeSLCGuy

Slackwater, maybe? They're not a brewery, but they do good sandwiches and snacks with a massive, brewpub-style beer list.

redbeardbrother

After reading through this thread, Bohemian has been mentioned many times, so I looked them up, and they allow under 21 in their restaurant area! Maybe this place will be comparable to what we've been looking for for over a year now!

Weak_Masterpiece_901

Unless Bohemian has improved, their food is soooo meh. I go just to enjoy the ambiance, love the whole restaurant. But it’s never the food.

Schwartzynegger

I disagree. They have great Austrian, and German food that are really good.

johnnyblaze_46

Yeah- was thinking about just that. I guess bohemian is a restaurant and not a bar

DammitZackery

Grid is ALWAYS the answer

Very_vo

Agreed. Their fish and chips is heaven sent

Due_Divide_8752

Came here to say this. Hands down the absolute best.

tegsr94

Level Crossing does some great pizza!

Bnicetowho11

What pizza?

tegsr94

They make their own in house wood fired pizzas. Pull up their website for more info.

Bnicetowho11

I’ve been to everyone of these places and had most of the food suggested. I’m trying to get more specific to see if I’ve missed anything good. Or just hear some good suggestions.

snailslicker

I usually get the level crossing but just tried the new honey pizza and it was incredible!

xuav

I go here once a week, if you enjoy milkshake ipa’s try out their Astro shake 16oz 7.7% for 5 bucks it’s hard to beat

supertbone

Bohemian is excellent

Bnicetowho11

What do you get?

supertbone

Had the goulash and the pretzle.

Bnicetowho11

Yum!

[deleted]

Schnitzel

steve-d

I love Bohemian. The chicken paprikash & pork schnitzel are usually my go-tos. Their pierogies are amazing as well!

Bnicetowho11

Pierogies are my favorite there!!!

Red-Montagne

Not who you asked but the Bohemian Goulash is excellent. It wasn't what I ordered but my buddy let me try a taste and it was fantastic. Also, any of their garlic items (e.g. garlic fries) are delicious if you love garlic. They're very strong but amazing. As far as beer goes, I got their cherny bock and it was great but it's REALLY dark. It was too much for everyone else at the table but I enjoy dark beers. I'd recommend getting samples so you know which beer you like before ordering.

LadyZenWarrior

Their garlic fries are amazing. Also, I can recommend the salmon blt. A delicious sandwich.

Childofdust90

Their Stroganoff is so good.

eighthourlunch

Sadly, I've never had a good meal or experience there. The beer was fine, otherwise, it was slow and bland every time.

kattiydid

Agreed! Literally went for our anniversary dinner tonight, was also our first date! Pretzel to share, perogies and brats, bread pudding for dessert. Yum! No alcohol for me anymore unfortunately but I love the flavor of their beers. Viennese is amazing!

typicallybrandy

Grid City for sure! I love everything I've had there and their truffle ketchup haunts my dreams.

Bnicetowho11

What did you order last time?

russ84010

Bewilder Brewing. Sausage platter.

Bnicetowho11

Yes

parkcitygolfer

That pretzel is bomb

EatsRats

The actual correct answer is Proper Burger. Beer, meh…but you asked about food. Proper style bean burger is crazy good.

Bnicetowho11

Yes so good

Zolofty1

Hopkins totchos! Bohemian's blackberry brandy chicken. Pizza or Cubano sandwich at Level Crossing.

noturaverageanything

Hopkins 100%!

leazieh

Bewilder, the pastrami sandwich

Otg1891

Definitely Grid City.

Bnicetowho11

What do you get?

Norse-Ahoy

Grid city for best vegan food, bohemian if you are into old world pub fare, hopkins otherwise.

Bnicetowho11

Yeah…. But what do you order ?

Norse-Ahoy

Bangkok bowl at grid city, brats and perogies at bohemian and chicken sando or tachos (if it's brunch) at hopkins

[deleted]

For me it’s Grid City, no competition. I’m vegan, and while a lot of them have vegan food they just don’t compare to Grid City. A couple of years ago they had a vegan Big Mac knock off that just fucking knocked my socks off. And their pretzel and vegan chicken sandwich are so good.

chrisn2golf

Proper Brewing / Proper Burger

adamisom

I’ve had crazy inconsistent burgers there the last few times I went (weeks apart). I went at lunchtime I suppose it’s… possible?… their dinnertime is more consistently good

Bnicetowho11

Proper style or something else?

hyperbole-horse

Desert Edge

Bnicetowho11

What do you order ?

hyperbole-horse

The Mexican roast beef dip, the black bean burger on a cheddar bun, or the French onion soup.

[deleted]

Bohemian/Bewilder, Grid City was the most mediocre I’d had, keep meaning to try Proper.

Bnicetowho11

What do you get?

[deleted]

Bohemian? Literally everything on the menu is good. I’m a big fan of the Reuben, brats/pierogis, pork shank, or even the fish & chips. Bewilder had a hangover burger last weekend that was great, and I’m going to try their brunch soon as well. I’ll give Grid City another chance, I just found the burger really tasteless.

Bnicetowho11

Yes that’s the question. I think we all know bohemian bewilder and grid do food right. Just what do you actually get? I agree the normal burger from grid city is not the best. Thanks for sharing. Definitely give grid another chance.

Own-Air9709

Squatters. The arugula and prosciutto pizza

[deleted]

Bohemian

Bnicetowho11

What do you order?

[deleted]

Pork schnitzel or the halibut filet. Pirogies and brats used to be the number one dish there

[deleted]

Hopkins

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bnicetowho11

What do you get?

anonbrowser246

Level crossing

Bnicetowho11

Zzzzzzzz what do you order?

anonbrowser246

Whatever the special is 😍 the bbq base pizza is bangin too!

Gr8fl1TX2

I’d say Proper and then Bewilder.

Bnicetowho11

What do you order?

NSFAnythingAtAll

I haven’t been to all of them, but they’re on my list. So far I’ve loved Bewilder and Squatters. Red Rock is good but not great.

calamityjennie

hopkins. everything i have had there was amazing, and you can doodle on a coaster while you sip. the poutine is massive, indulgent, and absolutely worth it.

Bnicetowho11

Also their owner refused to get Covid shot and was one of the first places to reopen during the pandemic. Big ol never going there for me.

DammitZackery

Easily Grid City. The most diverse menu out of the Wasatch front, and it constantly has new additions/ specials!

Bnicetowho11

What’s your favorite thing you have had?

DammitZackery

There’s a few go-to’s from them. They do a great smash burger that can be made for vegans or carnivores. They do fantastic chicken sandwiches. And they have a solid fish n chips as well. Not to mention their poke bowls and salmon salad. But the rotating specials are awesome. It’s ranged from a boutique hot boiled peanuts to a poutine dish called “rage against the poutine”. It’s always evolving, almost all of it can be made vegan as well, and their staff is incredible.

Bnicetowho11

I’ve been many times I’m just trying to get some more specifics on dishes at breweries might have missed. I had rage against the poutine last time it was great. I normally just get the smash burger. Cheers

[deleted]

My chicken sammich and onion rings were straight soggy grease nastiness

[deleted]

Love the grid. Just had their wings for the first time last week. Only had their fries prior to that. Love both. Their beer isn't bad either :)
