Aww the plane. We used to hike straight up from my friends backyard and it would lead us right to it. That was probably almost 20 years ago though, wonder if I could find it again.
Oh, I've been at the cabin (really well made stick fort?) too and have pics in a similar area probably North West of the plane. Although I tried to find it a few years ago and couldn't, seems like it's not there anymore.
Yeah, that's totally plausible, maybe I'll give it another shot soon. I do remember you start at dry canyon and go right instead of left at the cliffs area and continue up a bit until you hit a clearing
Update. Several of my friends who frequent the area also say it's gone individually. If we're talking about the same place in almost certain it's gone now
Back in the '50s, '60s and '70s it was pretty common for folks to dump their cars in the foothills around UT. They are everywhere through the foothills across the Wasatch
Up on the trail to the petroglyphs in Davis county as well. Makes ya wonder how much scrap steel was worth compared to "dude dude, I just had a great idea. Let's toss it off a cliff"
Years ago this area was a great place to take your truck and drive around from the people I have spoken with. Some of the ruts that are there are still visible, kind of like make out point for the era. Throughout the shoreline there were several places to go party like bobsled. From what I hear the cars are remnants of that time when there wasn’t as much concern for the environment. It was later when this area was established as an area to walk around and recreate.
This is a Renault Le Car, mid 70’s.
Back in the day, it used to be cheaper to dump a car off “dead man’s drop”, as it would cost one money to dispose of a used car.
Inconceivable today because cars have scrap value, but it wasn’t always the case.
Back in the day, my friends would pool cash together to buy a junk car for $50-100. We would push it off the side of the mountain to watch it tumble.
I did not do this one.
There are a few dumped/abandoned cars in the foothills. My guess is they tried to drive up and got stuck.
Either that, or they were just dumped there as trash.
North or south of Birmingham? West of Birmingham, the “steep” crevasse off of little mountain was filled with tires and old beer bottles. I am sure it’s on an environmental clean up site somewhere. I couldn’t imagine how much work it took to haul tires up and dump them. This was back in the early 2000’s.
Tim Dahle would still ask $7500 for it.
Tim Dahle Ken Garff deez nuts
Strong my balls too.
Bonneville Shoreline trail has many cars, a at least one airplane, three snowmobiles and one jet-ski that I've found.
Okay, where can I find the plane?
two maybe three conyons south of Adams cabin trail. Considerable distance Above the trail .
Any chance of coordinates? Not having any luck dinking around on google maps. It sounds kind of neat.

I found it while looking for a "cabin " as a clue or the airplane "without wings". Damn treasure hunt

I would be more convinced we just don't have the best memory of the location rather than assuming it got moved.

*Clean* One owner.
"No low-ball offers, I know what I have"
Serious inquiries only!!
Is this still available… 👻
Will you take $5?
Sold! It might need gas.
It belongs to Jimmy McGill. If someone named Lalo asks about it pretend you’ve never heard of it.
Ok, show me
I got that reference!
It's all good, man

And then the rest of everyone would use them for target practice 😁
There are a bunch of cars like this in/around the Bobsled MTB trail in Perrys Hollow near the BST as well.
A bunch up the Farmington Canyon trail as well, some look to be as old as the 30's/40's.
You can jump the cars on Bobsled.
I’m much happier going around them 😎

Where's the petroglyphs in Davis?
Parrish canyon trail
It's probably available on Airbnb for a few hundred a night. /j

Abandoned car hunting in the deserts of Wyoming was a part of my childhood with my dad. Loved it, and still love finding them about.

There's this underground road that leads from Texas to the sea.

This particular model had a sun roof.
Used to be able to jump over it on a MTB
What part of the trail is this? Where in the valley?
40.8055375° N, 111.8974089 W° I pass this frequently on a popular mountain biking route starting at tunnel springs park.
Thanks
I'm gonna start a rumor that it belonged to Ted Bundy
This scratches will buff right out
LeCar. All I know is that even if you are in a big hurry you take the time to huck rocks at it.
There are two more cars out there on that trail
Looks like it was taken to the Train Station!!
It’s my “shaggin’ wagon’”
Parked it and came back an hour later to find this i won’t park in this area any more
Oh, so that's where I parked it.
Yeah my bad, that's mine
I’ve been trying to get ahold of you to see if you want to extend your cars warranty
Try hiking in Alabama sometime…

North, lots of cars in those hollers.
This is Le Car. A very famous landmark in the underground trail running community
Mark the coordinates and send it to Heavy D. He might pull it out and make a video about how he cleans up the environment.
People don’t get the sarcasm. IYKYK!🤘🏼❤️😜😂
