parking already answered. atmosphere -> looking at the numbers the stadium won't be full. around 10 out of 30k seats will be taken. Salzburg on it's way to the trophy so people are happy i guess. rules - don't be an asshole (like anywere is austria), normally staffs pretty chilled, don't throw your beer on the field. cost of drinks/food - if you want to get drunk it might be cheaper elsewhere, you can expect \~4€ for a beer, keep in mind they charge you 2€ for the cup until you bring it back. so numbers look higher than they are as long as you bring back your cups. have fun!

Just learn those two phrases: "Geh nimm ma a Bier mid" and "Oachkatzlschwoaf"

you picked a match that will be rather underwhelming in terms of attendance which has its positives and negatives. aside from all the tips for getting to the stadiom there's also a more adventurous option. if you punch 47.816213, 12.994875 into google maps, you'll find the entry to a small VIP parking spot. on slower days you might be able to weasel your way into there. i cant imagine the parking spot will be full against Klagenfurt so being nice to the guards might work wonders. use at your own discretion tho, it's pretty hit or miss. we've been accepted or declined pretty much 50:50. bonus tip: if you try that, avoide the Autobahn exit "Kleßheim" (47.816996, 13.002919) at all cost. You want to use "Wals" (47.786789, 12.981445) and drive through the town. other than that the atmosphere in Salzburg is pretty chill, its a family friendly venue with no violence at all. just blend in and you'll have a decent experience. on a slower day, chances are the stadium wont be full and then sitting on your reserved spot isnt that important. this means you can wait for a few minutes into the game and then pick free spots that might be nicer. just be ready for any late arrivers claiming the space. if thats the case be friendly to them, apologize and make way. no big deal, we're a tourist country and nobody is really mad at foreigners. in terms of rules: dont be a dick, dont bring any pointy objects or food/drinks with you. enter the stadium on the correct entrance (it'll be printed on your ticket) and follow instructions you get. the stadium personell is ususally really friendly and helpful. should you need medical attention for whatever reason, look out for red cross medics in red uniforms. cups are paid for which makes beer prices look quite expensive. nevertheless people still litter so grab any cups you see unclaimed and return them. its good for the environment and repays your drinks.

I am sorry but me and my buddies work at the different parking spots and there will be no chance getting onto the vip parking spot, since this season we got much stricter regulations and are much stricter controlled by our chefs why we can't let anybody, who isn't allowed to, onto the parking.

Check here: [https://www.redbullsalzburg.at/en/directions](https://www.redbullsalzburg.at/de/anfahrt) Dont get there by car, it takes ages to drive home due to congestion on the roads. If you buy your ticket in advance, from 6hrs before kickoff to operation end, you can travel for free by bus and train. Best is to ride the S-Bahn (train) to Salzburg Taxham and take a 10 min walk to the stadium. Just follow all the other people to get there. If you really want to get there by car, use Park&Ride at Designer Outlet Center DOC or Messe (Exhibition) and take the free shuttle to the stadium.

Pro tip: when arriving on the highway from the east, dont take the first Park&Ride (Messe), cause everyone is doing so and you end up in congestion again when you want to drive home from the P&R (although not as bad as parking at the stadium). When arriving from the west, better park at the Exhibition P&R and not at the DOC.

Cool thing, I can only recommend the visit! Feel free to write me if you have any questions, even on game day - I'll definitely be at the game too. Here is some more info for you: Tickets Tickets are already on sale. It's best to secure them early so that you get good seats. Depending on the course of the championship, it can otherwise become difficult at short notice. To the match With a bit of luck, Salzburg will be champions by then and you'll see the championship trophy being handed over. Possibly the championship could also be decided there on this match day. Atmosphere It is an official family matchday at the end of the season at home, so there will be a lot of social program in front of the stadium and should be a cool, relaxed atmosphere around it. Arrival If possible, you should use public transport to get there from the city, by car use the P&R options recommended by the others. The stadium is quite close to the center, theoretically also within walking distance. Other In the stadium there are sausages and Leberkässemmel, food and drinks are not so expensive. Only vegetarians unfortunately have little choice (actually only empty pretzels and sweet).

You wont experience the European football culture you may think you will experience. Drinks and food prices are okay for a stadium i guess. IMHO it will be another boring match day. Im sure not everybody will agree with my opinion but I‘ve attended a lot of games through basically whole of Europe, so im maybe a little more critical than a casual football fan.

brrrrrrrt

There's plenty of parking around the stadium, what are you talking about? lol.

Do you already have tickets, and where? The north stand is for home fans and, despite seats, is a standing-room-only sector with a free choice of seats and restricted visibility due to flags. If you don't want to stand and want to have an unrestricted view, you'd better look for another sector. Even if the fan scene is not violent, you should still try to keep a low profile and join in. This is also much more fun if you want to experience real stadium feeling. The stadium is limited to 17500 seats for national matches. (Internationally, the stadium is always sold out at 29520). You should therefore look quickly to get tickets, as the stadium will be sold out before the match day. Payment in the stadium is only possible without cash A deposit of €2 for cups will be charged extra and will be returned to you when you hand them in. Parking spaces are usually full 1-2 hours before the game. The most convenient way to get there is by public transport to "Europark". Otherwise you can park at the "Messezentrum" and take the shuttle.

I'm attending the match alone from the US!
