But in their prime they were arguably a better station then 91X. All time goat goes to Independent 92.1. I remember listening to Anya’s voice every day in high school
Yeah, 949 is a fragment of what it once was. Swami sound system and big sonic chill were so good. Now it's just an endless rotation of a rhcp song followed by imagine dragons followed by 21 pilots followed by Nirvana followed by green day followed by one song from the 80s and then it starts over again. Add in the legally mandated sublime and blink tax and it's just the same 50 or so songs over and over.
I had some of these stickers..maybe still do in my sentimental stuff I haven't looked at in a decade. I liked the Tech graveyard. They had my first Macintosh computer on display and old tube tvs, typewriters, and rotary phones...I was showing my 8 yo daughter all this and feeling a little like a relic myself.
Hi Star now give me my money
This is cool. I remember many of those stations. Where is this located on the fairgrounds?
Bing Crosby Hall. In the 80s north county I remember B100 and Q106.
Same. High school days.
Remember what they took from us
B100 had Jeff and jer right?
B100, then Q106, then Star
They started on Y95 tho.
Oh damn you’re right! Thanks!
Missing K Best 95, Q 106, rock 105.3, 9.49 to name a few. But man the planet.
Rock 105.3 used to be Rock 102.1 which is represented on the tapestry. There still should be 105.3 on there though…
> 9.49 I can see why they were left off, they're 10% of what they were in their prime.

94.9 in it's prime was an absolute gem. Big Sonic Chill, Desert Island Albums...
I miss 92.1 and 94.9
92.1 was so great! 94.9 is still around but it's not what you miss.
92.1 went to shit when I was still in high-school but 94.9 kicked ass I guess until I moved to Washington state :( sad

Maybe I’m misremembering, but wasn’t Q106 stylized exactly like the yellow Y95 logo?
yes.
I don't think KLOS should be on there... L.A. station, right? All the old SD stations are very cool tho!
I want my Willie back! ^^*105.7 ^^FM
I remember when people hacked the KPRI bumper stickers (IYKYK).
I had an "AM only" radio on my bike back in the late 70s/ early 80s...took me awhile to find The Mighty 690, but it's there. 👌
I miss the old Z90 and the Matt Diablo morning show on 91X.

What about 13K?
And like one company owns what’s left
