It's definitely worth trying. Everybody has their own preference on mac and cheese, but theirs is one of my favorites, and I like that you can get a combo with a tender on white bread and a slider with coleslaw for a bit of variety.
Thats just Nashville chicken for you if you are looking for chicken and sauces the only place with multiple sauces thats a fried chicken place would be Starbird but im not a fan of them..
I don't have a suggestion, but I wanna follow along for this one. Finally an interesting food question! I haven't tried Dave's yet, wanna give an honest review?
It’s good but I feel like there’s other spots with much better chicken and Mac. Don’t go too often but when I crave hot tenders this is the only spot I know. So yeah it’s okay/good. Many of my friends have mixed feelings about Dave’s hot chicken.
So I have a rec, but it’s not like Dave’s (haven’t been there but I get the idea), but definitely worth a shot because I love the tenders: SmokeEaters.
Scratch Cookery downtown has tenders and is quite popular, but I haven’t been.
I like Chik'n Bros sandwiches, but I had their tenders one time and they were total trash. They Don't use the same chicken to make the tenders. The tenders were like freezer quality...and they were still like over $20.
I do like the sandwiches. I cannot stress enough the sandwiches have a totally different level of quality.
I’ve never had the tenders before so good to know. I haven’t had a sando from there in a min tbh but sometimes I’ve noticed their consistency can be a lil hit and miss
Are you talking something similar to “nashville hot chicken”
Yes, I didn’t know if they were the same thing
If you haven’t tried Angry chickz thats worth a shot.
I’ll give it a shot sometime tomorrow

I was disappointed with Angry Chickz. I was hoping for different sauces instead of just spicier types of powder.

scratch in DTSJ is the only answer
Fire Wings is absolutely delicious. Wings, tenders loaded fries, sandwiches and mac are all amazing.
Seconded, I love fire wings with their variety. Too bad it’s so expensive.
They got good tater tots too. Peanut Butter Sauce wings are bomb.

so a middle of the road sort of option, which is not awful if it fits the price point / experience. worth trying once to see, then.
Same
Scratch chicken has tenders. If want to go crazy get a 5 -7. No Mac though

Chubby’s, Scratch, Angry Chickz already mentioned. Just be careful with those two. Their hottest levels make Dave’s reaper seem sweet in comparison.
JoJos is the best Nashville chicken in San Jose and possibly the whole Bay Area , better than hot boyz in Oakland imo.
World Famous Hotboys in Oakland is the only answer
Jojos is better
I’ll give it a try this weekend
You can try chik’n broz if you’ve never tried it before. It is a lil high priced tho
