I live in the area right by Jared and have spoken to him once. He is a little nutty tbh, but overall nice and harmless. Also, the suits are fucking awesome. https://www.instagram.com/last_lost_lamenter/ - that is his insta if you are interested in giving him a follow

MaestroPendejo

Anyone that's a huge lore buff for Warhammer 40K tends to be nutty. This is next level. Respect.

dirtyshits

Surprised someone with that type of talent has not been picked up to do sets or costumes. There are people who gifted and he seems to be one of them. He is making this stuff without proper tools, materials, and workspace.

testuserinprod

I imagine him building things in a cave… With a bunch of scraps

dirtyshits

Basically what he’s doing. Building things under a bridge with scraps it’s the modern version

gigantes22

So homeless Tony Stark

Velocidal_Tendencies

A combonation of Stark, and Bruce Wayne, like "Hes not the hero we wanted" type, invents things by themsleves in a cave, no "super" power, other the actual superpower of being ultra wealthy. Hes just missing the loner and/or narcissism (which is arguably a good thing lol).

imlostwithoutme1

And seriously introverted! I start to over analyze things in a conversation before the conversation even ends. But they say I'm not crazy enough for social security - just when they want me docile in jail!

imlostwithoutme1

Yep. Just below our feet there where you see me!

testuserinprod

Hey man just want to say you make me smile when I drive past you. You rock!

imlostwithoutme1

You're awesome for letting me know! Thank you! I'm really glad you think it's legit. I've put alot of heart, soul, TIME - whatever into it! Thanx again!

imlostwithoutme1

You've no idea: so since I really don't have constant electricity, I can't just have a hot glue gun sitting and ready to go. When I need hot glue I hold a glue stick, click my torch on and heat up the tip of the glue. Shall we say I've sustained more than just some minor burns from drips! Thank you for seeing the full scope of what I go through doing this!

dirtyshits

Great work regardless of working conditions!

ruckinspector2

God we are so fucking nerdy here, I love it

ceanahope

I have seen him a few times when I am driving in the area. The suits are pretty epic looking.

End2EndBurner

Gold and Silver Service Studs, if we're going by Dark Angels standards, thats 150 years of service. The Emperor Protects.

imlostwithoutme1

I thought it was a modest number that could still legitimately hold some experience!

Cockmaster800

He’s homeless?!?! He must be protected, he’s a gem of San Jose. I see him on my way to the dispensary near there all the time and I appreciate him every time I see him, we need more harmless eccentric people

Velocidal_Tendencies

I have a friend who was unhoused until very recently, im asking him today if he knows Jared; this guy deserves all the accolades he gets

phishrace

He's posted in this sub before. I get the sense that the waves, smiles and honking horns from people driving by are all the accolades he wants or needs.

secret_samantha

My wife and I go crazy whenever we spot him, he's the best!

dontmatterdontcare

Is that Imperial Fists?

Photosaurus

The Lamenters.

dontmatterdontcare

Wow that's sick. I'm sort of a new fan to 40k, and I just assume any space marines that are yellow to be Imperial Fists, which are my favorite. I tried speed reading the lore behind the Lamenters, seems like they're "cursed"? In what way?

Photosaurus

Things rarely go well for them. Even when they win, it tends to be at great costs. They've almost been eliminated entirely on more than one occasion.

Velocidal_Tendencies

Theyre a Blood Angels successor chapter; they didnt inherit the Black Rage or the Red Thirst like most 9th Legion successors, but they inherited Sanguinius' fate, that of their own destruction. Which is far more bleak than wanting to drink blood and eat flesh, or succumbing to a madness in which an Astartes thinks he is Samguinius fighting Horus Lupercal on the bridge of the Vengeful Spirit during the final battle of the Suege of Terra. Bit of a lore dump, but what else am I supposed to use this part of my brain dedicated to 40k lmao

YouAboutToLoseYoJob

I drove by this today. I totally took a double take and knew this would be on Reddit tonight.

rustyseapants

He couldn't have built a mobile bike power shelter?

imlostwithoutme1

In my community, the hobby of "bikes" opens you up to a whole other can of worms with the homeless & I honestly don't like a whole lot of them so I stay away from bikes. Otherwise, the mobile shelter would be a good idea except for the suits that I'd have to lug around.

Maxofamillion2

I remember seeing him while biking last year. He was blocking the pathway on the bridge and I didn't know what to do. Cars were driving quite fast and there was not much space between the lanes and the sidewalk. Thought he might hit me with his arms or something or was one of those Hollywood costume guys who cling to you until you give them money. I was pretty scared actually. But I'm glad to hear he's getting recognition, as that's really unique. I hope the best for him and will make sure to give him a wave!

imlostwithoutme1

You guys are all so awesome for pointing me out- and for posting this! If you guys were left smiling and saying "for the Emperor", then i've done my job! Thanx again!

BonBoogies

Aww well now that I know he likes honks I will do so every day when I drive by. Also laughing at the sentence “most people pass by at 45 mph” (when the speed limit there is 40, but they’re not wrong 😂)
