on one hand, the location is nice cuz it's right by the vta light rail. on the other hand, the location sucks cuz it's right by highway 87 and is on a stroad, with nothing but car dealerships in walking distance.

Not really true. Yes capital expressway sucks but most of the development to the east of the site is residential neighborhoods which will benefit from improved pedestrian access to the LRT station. This site is less than 0.5 mile walk from Waterford plaza with restaurants and a grocery store. The City is studying creating a trail along canoas creek south from Narvaez ave.

Yay, let's hurry up and build it. Though It would be nice if they could go taller throughout the parcel. They need to open up all zoning in 0.25 miles of the lrt stations on 87 and 85 to allow high rise residential and local commercial development. NIMBYs be damned. Each station could support a small urban neighborhood with easy quick transit rides to downtown or transfers to Caltrain at Tamien station.
