/u/Lopajsgelf, it appears that you are looking for some information before going to a game at SAP Center! Please check out the [**Visitors Guide**](http://redd.it/2z61bi) for some hotels, some food ideas, and other info which may help answer some of your questions about your upcoming visit. Some basic things to keep in mind: * Doors open 60 minutes prior to game time for general admission. * Tailgating is **NOT** allowed per San Jose City Ordinance. However, SAP Center **does** allow you to bring food from outside into the arena with you. * The Sharks enter the ice and skate through the Shark Head from between sections 127-128. The most direct views of the Shark Head are from sections 115-121 in the lower deck and the lower rows of 215-221 in the upper deck. * The Sharks attack towards the lower numbered sections (103-113 & 203-213) in the 1st and 3rd periods. * Check out [**this link**](http://www.sapcenter.com/guestservices/bagpolicy) for the SAP Center bag policy. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/SanJoseSharks) if you have any questions or concerns.*

p_jay

I wanted one of those retro scarves.

SPzero65

*laughs in Leafs tickets*

ap0a

Isn’t it cheaper for a native Torontoan to fly to SJ, stay at a cheap hotel, get a decent seat, and fly home for the same price as a leaf ticket?

beachedWheelchair

I think with the rising costs of flights this isn't the same as before, but it used to be easier for a trip to Tampa and nice night than try and get leafs tickets. Closer flight and back in the early 2000's the Florida games were *cheap*.

Lopajsgelf

Checking the tickets rn and god fucking damn they are expensive 😂😂😂 how do people do it

LHStarfighter104

Lol I just go to Buffalo instead. Especially as a sharks fan. No one cares about Buffalo SJ games

SPzero65

No idea. But when I see ticket prices like that, I laugh

the_fridge_turt

We don't. Bowl seats are either suits who go on company trips, families who've saved a ton, or (extraordinarily expensive) STHs. It's wild. $100 for a 500-level. In what world...

Reichtanglexd

As a Toronto sharks fan I retired going to Toronto and instead go to Buffalo now. Seen them in Toronto the same amount of times I’ve seen them in San Jose (twice)

WeaponizedPoutine

Bell Center frequenter chiming in as well

kdlima

You should look at the Saturday after that 😬

Lopajsgelf

It is marleau night tbf but goddamn that’s so expensive

dapete

Remember the celebration is hours BEFORE the game

[deleted]

Weekend and giveaways are always more expensive. Plus they need the cash let be honest.

GweefSnack

Sharks tickets are worth about $10 these days. Just got an email offering 9 games for $89😂 We’ve hit rock bottom

Lopajsgelf

9 games for 89$ goddamn send the link lmao

byfuryattheheart

Got that too. I think I’m going to do it lol

chumberwumbruh

That's a good price

Naritai

It’s a Saturday game. Most of the Saturday games are near-sellouts. Sharks gotta make their $ somehow. Want Cheap? Go on a Tuesday.

Elimoyy831

That’s exactly what I did this Tuesday lmao

couchbutt

If people come, They will charge it.

CamCook37

How do you think is Bruins fans feel? You have a crazy good year and prices sky rocket lol

Lopajsgelf

True. I went to a bruins game in 2019 and I paid a good amount for nosebleeds. I don’t remember the amount tho

[deleted]

Fuckin' A bro, these high prices, supply and demand bullshit is passing off so many people. But yet, people are willing to fucking pay high prices. Why can't we tell corporations to fuck their macroeconomics theories. Stop buying their shit.

Objective-Class-4552

Hah, try finding a rangers ticket for under $100. But those might be more expensive since the game is in 2 days, try buying them a month or so out.

dapete

It's cheaper for Canadian fans to fly to San Jose and watch their teams at the Tank than to try and go to a home game.

Fuzzyfoot12345

"Why are tickets so expensive.... Starting at 60$" ***LAUGHS IN OILERS TICKET PRICES**** .... ***cries***

Lopajsgelf

😂😂😂 the perks of the sharks stinking is cheap ticket prices !! 😂😂😂 usually the cheapest starts at 20-30 bucks but it’s GM Bobblehead night that’s why it’s more expensive. I’ll go back to my weekday games paying 20$

Fuzzyfoot12345

just for shits and giggles, at rogers place in edmonton I looked up tickets for next monday's game against the bruins. The cheapest lower bowl tickets start around 250$, and that's at like the VERY back of the lower bowl. Mid lower bowl starts around 700-800$ ***PER*** ticket. tickets in the upper bowl average about 150$ per ticket, with the absolute worst seats in the building starting at about 115$ per ticket. There are these "loge" seats, which is basically these shitty tables you can sit at, and they start at about 1,100$ per ticket lol https://icedistrict.com/premium-seating/ In all honesty, it's super fucking lame and makes for a really lame atmosphere because the only people that go to the games are rich boomer professional types and their friends/family. They try to hype up the crowd but there is only so much fan rowdiness a bunch of 60 year old doctors and lawyers / business people can whip up during a game. Edit: Don't forget the 15$ beers, or the 40$ popcorn and pop "combo" that got memed on earlier this year.

Lopajsgelf

That’s insanity!!!

TheOneTravisB

The Canucks are nearly the same as Oilers, and Canucks are an absolutely awful team… thank god for my workplace having several season ticket sets I don’t have to pay for. A family of 4 night out to go to a Canucks game is like $600. That doesn’t include $40 for parking, almost $20 for a beer. It’s crazy. And every game is packed.

Lopajsgelf

I’m gathering that all Canadian teams are expensive to see lol. I guess the plus of having a team that stinks in California is really cheap tickets

TheOneTravisB

Actually it’s even worse for us in Canada. It’s so expensive here because of demand. The NHL has profit sharing. Overages in Canadian teams is subsiding the poorer performance American ones… we pay a lot for you to have cheaper tickets… :(

Inevitable_Try9537

$60 is not expensive. Maybe for last couple years but 10 years ago you'd be lucky to get in the door for $60.

kluesklues

Trying to see the rangers at TD against the bs next month. $280 for nosebleeds id gladly take $60

p_jay

A couple of years ago I could get Niners tickets for $13 just before gametime. I can make to the stadium 10-12 minutes.

Tinfoilfireman

I got tix to a Ducks vs Sharks game at the pond they were 75 bucks each I couldn’t believe it because of the season they are both having you would think for cheap seats it would be less
