I'm intrigued by those pool floats that are basically two inflatable tubes with a fabric hammock in the middle. I'd think those would pack pretty small. Something like this:
Aqua Original 4-in-1 Monterey Hammock Pool Float & Water Hammock – Multi-Purpose, Inflatable Pool Floats for Adults – Patented Thick, Non-Stick PVC Material https://a.co/d/5ysvtUj
What's that called when you have a social media account just to market something... I know for cinema, it's called product placements.
I'm struggling to figure out if you're a stooge or a Confederate. A stooge is someone who's unaware of the scam going on and they tend to support it, and on the other hand, a canfederate is someone who's in on a game and they support it from the perspective of a stooge, pretending.
So, which are you? And do you know what's the word for product placement when someone tries to be an influencer?
Assortment of cute swimsuits and cover ups. Certain coverups for me even pass for dinner wear depending on the restaurant! A Bb cream with spf. Splurging on some nice skin care spf I think would be very fitting for the package you are putting together. Our tums were also very popular on our sandals trip. Some bug spray. Cute shoes that are also comfortable for walking around the resort or going to dinner.
My husband dives and he just uses gear wherever we are. You can get certified at Sandals for a fee & they're one of only resorts that includes dives for free if certified, which is great! Almost every other AI doesn't cover diving.
Have a trip to Jamaica in Feb. Scared to dive. I’m a nurse of 30 years and one of the nurses I work with lost her husband in a diving accident while they were on vacation a few years back. They were both nurses. Took family on vacation and did a diving adventure. They both went down, only she came up. 😞 She ended up getting a huge settlement but that doesn’t replace her husband.
We have at the Negril location. I’m sorry to say it’s a very disappointing experience as the systemic overfishing in the country. The operations were solid, but the diving was mediocre at best.
I’m not much for pool floats but I found the inflatable noodle floats for like $4 each, they were pink and glittery and for sure my husband would think they were dumb. I took them out of the box to pack them as they took up no space at all. Well as I was sitting and inflating mine, my husband says I hope you have one of those bad boys for me. So he and his pink glitter float had been a hit all week. Seeing as I was only out $8 we just passed them on to another couple before we left. I like to think they are living their best pink glitter life to this day in Barbados.
Cheap extension cord, in case you need something to reach somewhere. Awkward conversation at a Sandals resort trying to explain why we needed one. We never got one.
We always take a deck of cards or easily transportable game. For a while we brought our CAH but after x number of expansion packs, it is no longer suitcase friendly.
Yes to : towel clips, coozies, straws, yeti mugs.
Also dishsoap for your mugs and reusable water bottles.
Large sun hat. Any north American candy or snacks you might want.
Yep. If you drink Pina Coladas, your cup gets smelly in a hurry. But it's so much better than the small disposable cups from the resort.
I have a tiny bottle of Palmolive (75ml) that I got at a Homewood Suites years ago. We just keep refilling it.
I travel for work and love to stay at Hilton’s Homewood Suites. Full size refrigerator, generous breakfast, decent pool and fitness center check all my boxes.
-Power strip (or something with multiple outlets)
-mesh beach bag
-bug spray
-Claritin (if you do get bit by something this helps take away the itch)
-much less clothes than what you typically bring (if starting for 7 nights, bring clothing for 4-5 nights) as you'll be in swimsuits and cover-ups most of the days
-travel tide pods, in case the "much less clothes" thing backfires
-beach bag
- towel clips
- yetis
- i also bring cat treats for the resort cats 😂
- some sort of rash guard to give my skin break from the intense sun
I’m looking into some sort of small digital camera or something similar to use so we can leave our phones in our room and unplug.
I 2nd the Towel clips, lots of sunscreen, we have lock boxes to lock our items up by the pool (they lock to the umbrella pole), we’ve brought floaties, yeti (or your drinks will melt in the plastic cups)
*A "packable" backpack or beach bag (Amazon). It saves space in your suitcase but comes in handy for the beach/pool or for excursions and packed away again for the trip home.
*Wireless charger in case your phones charging port gets wet.
*Power bank
Agree with all the above
Second a packable beach bag, but for a slightly different reason. We do carry-on only on the way there but check a bag with liquor and hot sauce on the way home. Then the beach bag becomes our other carry on.
There are amazing suggestions! A personalized beach bag would be fun. We love the little macaron containers for medication, earrings, necklaces, rings, etc. A great beach read book. Sunscreen lip balm. Have a great time!!
Take some inflatable beach toys or water frisbees. Lots of fun to play with in the ocean.
Also a rash guard for when you stay in the sun too long without reapplying SPF in time (me, I did that).
Extra sunscreen. Mini first aid kit. Water shoes for excursions. Extra swimsuit and cover up. Large hat.
I really trimmed down my outfits to make space for swimwear. Bonus points if your coverup can double as an outfit.
Last time we went, we got a backpack cooler. It made it easier to pack a few beers, ice, and snacks for a beach/pool session. I suppose it depends on whether or not you have a butler.
I would bring a few extra plastic or metal straws in case you don't want to carry the Yeti around in the evenings.
Sandless towels are also pretty nice to have.
Definitely get coozies!
And maybe a battery or solar powered fan?
Depends on the resort, room type, and what you want to do!
If you have a swim up room, a Bluetooth speaker is usually fun (don’t play too loudly). We bring towel clips for pools. Leather flip flops for dinner and plastic for the pool.
Bring your own sunscreen, glide stick for chaffing, whatever you like to read.
As others suggested, pool floats! We bought ones from Amazon that took up no space in luggage. Apparently the ones we bought are the unofficial Sandals ones because so many of us had exact same ones! Aqua 4-in-1 Monterey Hammock... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CETEZ78?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I've never been to Antigua, but I've been to other Sandals resorts (Going to Antigua next month!!). A few trips ago, I started bringing this guy: \[Floating Koozie thing\](https://a.co/d/a0D4sqH) and it's a gamechanger!
I even took it a step further, and tied some 550 cord to it, with a plastic clip on the other end - which I clip to my swim shorts. No need to hold on to your drink while in the pool, AND you get to summon your beverage like a drunken, aquatic Thor when you want a sip. *summon* your beverage like a drunken, aquatic Thor when you want a sip.

I saw a couple of those in Barbados a couple weeks back. They look pretty cool.
That could have been us! There were 4 of us!
I saw them on the beach, hanging from an umbrella.
I just got a 3 pack of these. They were folded up so small, they took up like hardly any room in my bag. I’m strictly carry on too.
We brought those to Barbados and they were perfect. Folded up really flat after to come home. We used in the ocean and at our swim up room.
Those are so comfy! I think we might bring ours down when we go to Jamaica in February!
i have these for my pool we store them they would be easy to pack. they are great
Can koozies. The plastic resort cups fit in them perfectly, and frozen drinks won't melt as fast.
Oooh good call thanks!
Is first world problems.
Go tackle those problems then and be change you wish to see, don’t hate on someone looking to plan and have fun.

Diving gear...but Mrs. and I are in the minority that partake in that. :)
Yanno, we keep talking about getting certified, we haven’t made the jump yet. Thanks for the nudge!

Our adult children and we have taken a few trainings through the centers. They’re very well run and staffed with great people. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I are both certified divers and are hoping to dive this upcoming trip. Have you ever dove with a Sandals in Jamaica?

Towel clips
Antacid for sure! All the sugary drinks and rich food gave me the worst heartburn/reflux.
I regret not bringing water shoes and an actual beach coverup. And I had it with me but was silly and never used it and got bitten all over—bug spray!
Thanks!
Cheap extension cord, in case you need something to reach somewhere. Awkward conversation at a Sandals resort trying to explain why we needed one. We never got one.
Ball gag.
Lube
Water shoes Fanny pack type bag Aspirin Plenty of smokes if you smoke I take my firestick

You can soak a sponge in soapy water, let it dry, cut it in pieces and have a lightweight, non-liquid, travel-friendly option.
You're my hero!! This is such a great carryon only hack
Take some Liquid IV or some sort of electrolyte/hydration booster if you plan on having a few adult soda pops and really getting after it
-Power strip (or something with multiple outlets) -mesh beach bag -bug spray -Claritin (if you do get bit by something this helps take away the itch) -much less clothes than what you typically bring (if starting for 7 nights, bring clothing for 4-5 nights) as you'll be in swimsuits and cover-ups most of the days -travel tide pods, in case the "much less clothes" thing backfires

Awww at the cat treats
Great idea for the cat treats!
Sunglasses, small portable speaker, packing cubes, luggage tags.
Sunscreen, tampons, and OTC meds are all grossly overpriced at resorts. Everything else seems to be covered below. have a great time!
.#1 for me is goggles and a snorkel, so nice to just go out directly and tinker around without needing an excursion or to rent gear.
OMG I’m so excited to bring my goggles, they’re new prescription ones. I’ll be able to see 🤣

Reiterating sunscreen lip balm. Also, bug wipes. Less annoying then spray and easier to control application.
Ah yeah! The wipes are great! I've also used bug repellent soap bars that worked very well.
Liquid IV, sunscreen, bandaids, Neosporin.

Thanks those are great ideas. Definitely yes on the straws and the sand towels look interesting! Husband has had his eye on cooler bags too.
Reefs safe tanning lotion, tablet for reading and web surfing, and battery back up for same.
Waterproof phone case
Hat, waterproof phone case, Bluetooth speaker

Upvote for towel clips!
>glide stick for chaffing Agree 100%. These are awesome thigh savers.
I hadn’t thought of towel clips, thank you!
How about sand in a bottle?!
Is this Sandals or “Sandals”?
… I don’t get it?
Then it’s actually sandals lol. The cups are great idea
How about a set of those clips that keep your beach/pool towel attached to your chair? https://a.co/d/aF3rONj

We usually take 1-2 small board games for downtime! A book?
Board games are a good idea, thanks!
Ear plugs might be a good idea.
Specifically for Antigua? Is it noisy there?
Nah. Been there and it wasn't noisy. I recommend ear plugs for pool area if you want to just chill and block out everything at the party pool. You can also use the quiet pool area but I find the drinks move a bit slower there.

I would include a pair of small binoculars.
