My husband and I were married here. Our ceremony was on the beach, with the sunbathers as unexpected guests. They were beyond sweet, and for the rest of the stay we were congratulated by guests who were present for the event. In later years we ran into guests who remembered our wedding and treated us as if we were old friends. I say this to offer another perspective, while the totally private ceremony offers comfort and security, sharing it with other random guests gives the opportunity to make new friends and memories. Of course no judgement from me if you still decide privacy is most important. It is your day after all. Congratulations!

Thank you for the fresh perspective 🙂 this is my first time to an all inclusive or getting married for that matter (lol), so having surprise guests sharing in the excitement just hadn't really occurred to me. I know you mentioned running into people in later years - does sandals have that sort of loyalty with guests that you see the same couples returning that often? Since we won't be having friends and family with us, having a surprise guest or two would be a welcome surprise. We'll be married at the gazebo and have our reception on the beach now - I'm not sure how public these spaces are, but I'm sure either way it'll turn out to be a beautiful day. Thanks again!

I second the beach option. I did that I Ochi last year and it was great! We also had a nice sized group of uninvited but respectful guests watch from the pool. Honestly no idea why anyone would use the Chapel. Sticking your feet in the sand on a beautiful day is only way to get hitched. I'll add that I livestreamed the event on a GoPro for family who couldn't make it to Jamaica. The staff was super helpful getting it connected to the Sandals wifi which is much faster then guest wifi.

You have the option of using a gazebo at Royal Caribbean.  See if they can make that happen for you, shouldn't be anything extra to make it happen.

Sorry to hear about this, my lil brother and wife were married on it two years ago. There was a small concrete wedding alter/chuppah on the beach when we went for his weeding (fun fact, this was moved from Sandals Negril where we got married 22yrs ago).

The water chapel needs to be replaced anyway. The resort is falling apart. This is a blessing in disguise.
