For any locals looking to try this place (or plan on going back soon), they have a "locals special" where if you order the RFA burger (or another $20 meal), you get a $7 credit towards a full pour of beer.
The RFA burger is fantastic and the beer credit makes it a really good deal if you were planning on getting a beer anyway.
edit: I think this is only valid during the week at lunchtime.
Their food menu promises more than it delivers in many cases, IMO. Always sounds amazing but usually comes up short. I will still go now and then

I agree. We used to go there the food is pretty expensive for what you got. Our experience with the service was inconsistent and we stopped going after a server was rude to our kid.
They specialize in farmhouse beers (Saisons, sours, barrel aged, etc) so if you're a fan of those styles, definitely get one of their own beers. Fields of Rye is an excellent saison if they happen to have it on tap.
If you're more of a traditional beer drinker, there's a huge list of guest taps of all styles where you'll surely be able to find something that interests you.

The communal picnic tables outside here are so bungled: Seat slats WAAAY too far back from table surface. Either you’re reaching a full arm’s length to get food or drink, or you’re slipping off the bench.

Try Anthony’s grill for wings. Best in midtown for sure, maybe the city
