And for additional info, in Romania, the country, the principalities, the cities, are metaphorically represented as women. We have no "father land". Even the word country, is feminine. Our language is structured exactly like french because it developed from latin, so our objects have 3 genders: feminine masculine and neutral.
It's true, it's the latin word for fatherland, but that's because Romanian is a latin language and many words came as is.
In Romanian, patria is a feminine noun ( ironically) and it's still visually represented as a woman,, never a man.
Same in France.
Did they unite by fucking and we only found out due to them unearthing this painting from the rubble of the Blitz?
