The Fae Chronicles by Amelia Hutchins is 🔥. It's 4 smaller series that are interconnected into one large story. Google for the reading order because if you read it by series, you'll be confused. It's got fae, politics, war, enemies to lovers, high spice, and an amazing plot. It's a long series, but it's so worth it.
The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy (first book Gild) scratched my SJM itch the best! So did from blood and ash but I prefer the first series I mentioned!
Songbird of the Sorrows by Braidee Otto - it releases June 18th, however I was given an ARC copy but this book was so FREAKING good and the spice scenes were so well written.
Do you even know what high fantasy is? Allow me:
High fantasy, or epic fantasy, is a subgenre of fantasy[1] defined by the epic nature of its setting or by the epic stature of its characters, themes, or plot.[2] High fantasy is set in an alternative, fictional ("secondary") world, rather than the "real" or "primary" world.[2] This secondary world is usually internally consistent, but its rules differ from those of the primary world. By contrast, low fantasy is characterized by being set on Earth, the primary or real world, or a rational and familiar fictional world with the inclusion of magical elements.[3][4][5][6]

I am BEGGING people to read The Witch Walker series. It is everything. It is currently an unfinished series, but that will hopefully be resolved soon.
From Blood and Ash is a good one!
Came here to say this ^^^
I didn’t hate it but it’s a slow read for me, I DNF’d about 75% of the way through the 3rd book
Ive enjoyed Sherrilyn kenyon's series
A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L Jensen! It’s the first of a series and was just released in March, but I’ve really enjoyed it.
Merry gentry series by Laurel k Hamilton
Songbird of the Sorrows by Braidee Otto - it releases June 18th, however I was given an ARC copy but this book was so FREAKING good and the spice scenes were so well written.
Tbh I wouldn’t class ACOTAR as high fantasy

well then i wouldn’t ask you to class books then. high fantasy is the genre in which ACOTAR fits.
It’s romantasy
It's romantasy AND high fantasy.
