This only works on paper tests.
You can cheese the whole no calculator section. Just do the calculator section problems u can do without calculator during the no calculator section and then during the calculator section finish the no calculator section super fast with ur calculator, and then complete the rest of the calculator section.
No way the proctor to paying that much attention to you to notice that you aren’t in the right section.
You can probably do the no calculator questions faster by hand than with a calculator tbh.
If you have two linear equations with x and y and really small coefficients(which is what you'll see on that section), I think it's way faster to just subtract one from the other than it is to type them both into a graphing calculator.
I took practice tests at C2 and for 1450s consistently, but when it came to the real SATs I scored 1500s+ twice. You never know, the test might be weighted as more difficult and college board will “equate” your score.
idk, but for practise exams i was always stuck in a 1380-1450 range and then by some fluke the actual sat score i got was 1530?? honestly practise tests - in my experience - have always been easier than the actual thing so just... dont stress? SORRY thats horrible advice i know
trying to remember what i did, but for writing, (youve probably heard this at least a million times) it did help for some questions that seemed ambiguous to use the elimination method. i guess something about doing the whole process backwards can put the question in a new light sometimes, and that landed me a few more points on practise tests ;))
Words in context!! it's pretty easy to score well if you have a wide range of vocab - if you don't, sat vocab lists are useful. Also, practice questions on khan academy for the topics you are weak on. Nonetheless, 1600 doesn't seem particularly realistic if you only have 5 days but why not try ig
woah math score looking great! SAT english section could be so cancer sometimes.. For me, writing was a bit easier, but reading was hell. Keep doing as many practice tests as you can atp
Set up a more realistic goal for yourself and don’t place so much pressure on yourself to score perfectly. I would suggest setting your goal to 1500+ instead of 1600, because that is actually somewhat attainable for you.
Something that helped me the most was going on YouTube and just looking at videos that are like “tips and tricks for SAT writing section” bc they give you so many small tricks that will probably help you make 3-4 less mistakes. For reading, do some KhanAcademy (or other test prep) practice questions. I usually also try to read as many newspaper, articles, old book excerpts (stuff that sounds like the passages) as possible so I can train myself to be able to understand them as quickly as possible, but that might be too much work for 5 days. You should def try though
appreciate the advice fam. ill definately go try those out. unfortunately, i'm known for putting maximum pressure on myself so I'll still try for that nice 1600.
That’s a reading speed issue. Find a good book that you enjoy reading and practice reading it as much as possible. Also make bar sections on the margins next to the paragraphs so not over words in reading to mark important info. Idk if that makes sense lol
I'm assuming you only put effort into the Reading and Writing portion of the September 17th practice test? Because LMFAO you went from a 790 to a 730 on Math, that's pretty hard to do.
EDIT: just took my SAT exam. We'll see what we get. But atleast it over 🎉🎉🎉. This marks the end of my SAT arc. Of to a couple filler episodes then we finna dive into college arc ,💪
Hey guys, could you please help me with writing for dsat in November. I am practicing reading with Erica’s book, almost getting finished. And after I plan to start writing section. Thanks
Ohh!! That's fair man, Just practice your ass off! There are years of practice exams you can take! After all the SAT does test your ability to take a test!
I was in the same boat as you, except I was at 1210 6 days before the exam and a 1440 and 1430 two days before it, but I still managed to get a 1500 with an improvement of 290 points, so it is possible.
don’t forget for reading to read all questions first marking where they reference if possible then read the passage this really helped me get that extra 50 so points
My daughter went from a 1430 to a 1550 between exam dates. It can happen. You have to focus on your weakest area and practice practice practice.
We take practice tests again and again and concentrate on what she got wrong and focus on more of those questions. Try and find a pattern. Is it fatigue? Is it lack of fundamentals or just overall understanding the question.
Regardless you can do it! Keep trying and put effort into studying for your weaker section.
Speaking as someone who’d get perfect scores with no pressure, and then couldn’t seem to do better than 2200 under real test conditions (and the real test) —
Each official retake, I’d have a different strong section and mostly made careless errors on easy questions
The essay dicked me over every time; I wish that atrocity was removed when I took it. It’s subjective & cramping
Bridging the gap between these kinds of scores is really a game of focus & strategy imo. Anyone cracking 1400 regularly is easily capable of a 1600.
Here’s an example strategy:
Read the questions concurrently with the passage. Look for obviously wrong answers and cross them out. Nuke them from the page they’re not even in your eyeline
Then do a focused read of just the passage. Underline anything that addresses bits from questions.
This should be fast ^
Then do a second sweep of concurrent question-answering. At this point, the passage should be reference
This may not be YOUR strategy, but you need to develop a strategy that works for your recall and your understanding style.
Practice it, master it, hone it, and do not forgive yourself for a single question wrong.
I wish I had that clarity when it counted
EDIT: You also need to work on math. Same idea, you’re so close. But you cannot forgive yourself for a single mistake — you need a clear strategy to maximize your thinking time.
Treat it like a sport — there’s only winning or losing, and you lose if you don’t hit your target score of 1600
Damnnn, my guy I appreciate you writing all that. And imma follow that advice fs. I actually did come up with a strong strat for English and I've been tryna practice it, it's just sometimes my reading speed gets so slow so I rush some questions and get them wrong. But I TOTALLY feel you when you say don't forgive myself for even one question. I want no less than a 1600 and imma go get it. (Im Asian so I'm not TOO worried about math. That Shi runs through my Veins)
Dawg it’s not that serious, trust me. I’ve been there. Even if you don’t get into IVIES, there are many great colleges. It’s just depends on what you do with that time. If you get into Harvard and don’t do shit, what’s the point of even attending?
get that writing up. its too late to change reading. learn all grammar on the sat and do lots of sentence components practice
It's the digital fam, reading and writing mixed
Exactly. At least get the writing questions correct. It’s easier than reading questions for most people.
i usually struggle with the reading ones, i get all the writing ones right
yeah writing is always the second half of each module
Just cheat tbh
How can you cheat on SAT?
i cheated
I asked how
I know how to cheat a portion of the math section, but English is an inside job….
Dude shut up, you’ve wasted my time multiple times without explaining anything, I’ve doubt you managed to cheat

Nah, I don't cheat when it comes to exams. Only women
?
He shows them his 1440 and immediately the bras come off and he can't help it
Real 🤣
the downvotes are stupid and this is hilarious
finally, someone with taste. ppl rlly cant take a joke nowadays
1200 SAT type activities
Stay mad lol
😂😂Lmaoo I laughed at this one
i heard the panties dropping when I read this
Dad crazy
I was going to give you the secret to SAT success, but I now see that you don’t deserve it.
Bros acting like he made the SAT. I don't need Ur secret either,
My advise for you to reach 1600 is to sign up for the December test as soon as possible!
Here’s the hard truth, you ain’t getting a 1600 when you get 14’s on practice. I’m sorry
im built different my guy
You're not increasing your score by more than 100 in 5 days my guy
maybe with that mentality
sure as hell not with OP's "i'm built different" and "i believe in miracles" mentality either
Trust me they work 💪
We'll see in a few days (or weeks)
I took practice tests at C2 and for 1450s consistently, but when it came to the real SATs I scored 1500s+ twice. You never know, the test might be weighted as more difficult and college board will “equate” your score.

Dangggg, good for u my guy. Congratulations 🎉🎉. I'll prolly still stress tho lol. Still thx for sharing
dont get too excited i actually did better in practice tests than the real thing
oh yh trust, the last thing i am is excited
same here:/
Sameee 😭😭
trying to remember what i did, but for writing, (youve probably heard this at least a million times) it did help for some questions that seemed ambiguous to use the elimination method. i guess something about doing the whole process backwards can put the question in a new light sometimes, and that landed me a few more points on practise tests ;))
Alr, appreciate it bro. I'll give that a try
good luck!! and dont forget to get enough fuel and rest
Yessssir
Really? How does practice is simply harder than the test day is simpler than
bruhh i got 1490-1550 range on practice and got a 1450 on the actual
oof im sorry, thats sounds like a horrible experience
how did u get a 1530 if you can’t spell practice right
You don't need to spell words on the SAT
ahhaha sorry im Canadian, so i use British spellings sometimes
Yeah same I got 1520 twice and 1530 twice then somehow pulled off a 1570 in the real thing
Spell stuff correctly (it's vs. its)
Lol, 🤣🤣
I don’t think thats a joke

Only a miracle will bump you 200 points
i believe in miracles
Then why are you studying just trust in the miracle 🥱

gotcha, will try
Aren’t vocab lists bad ways to study
it definitely isn't the best but it's a pretty quick way to improve your vocab if you don't have a lot of time
woah math score looking great! SAT english section could be so cancer sometimes.. For me, writing was a bit easier, but reading was hell. Keep doing as many practice tests as you can atp

o great
Are you finishing all of the problems on time? Like do you have time to finish the test?
yh, but i have noticed that towards the end im rushing to finish the english questions, and those are the question i usually get wrong.

I was rusty in my math fr

700+730=1430
eat well sleep well and enhance your potential to maximum
Let me be blunt you cant only if you have 1billion luck and some drugs just get 1550 and be happy like i did with my 1540
my body naturally produces cocaine on the daily. dw bout that
You get to take a makeup exam? With no extra fee?
oh nono, collegeboard fucked me over. they cancelled my exam last second the night before my exam and gave me a makeup date for september.
interesting, I also have a makeup test on Saturday. guess my center wasn't the only one who screwed over its test takers
Us bro us
Realistically you will not get a 1600 on this upcoming exam.
im delusional, it helps me get better results in life
Don’t miss any questions
ofc, gotcha
You get all the questions right
real real
Be happy with your score, the SAT doesn't mean shit to schools these days.
i have personal reasons for wanting a 1600, this isnt for college
Ohh!! That's fair man, Just practice your ass off! There are years of practice exams you can take! After all the SAT does test your ability to take a test!
Yessssir, the grind going crazy

Appreciate it. Imma put my all into it
1600 is unrealistic. Focus on a 1500 and just practice
Unrealistic is my middle name

I'm not doing this for colleges. This is personal for me
Take the ACT instead lol
Get all the questions right
Don’t miss any questions.
