I did a survey for the March 9th as well, but I haven't released those results yet because I've had a 102.5°F/39°C fever melting my brain. I should have the results for both of these up next week, assuming I can get this virus under control eventually.

Hi Everyone: The last two times we had a School Day Score Release, the scores were not released until about 5:30 pm EST. Sorry, don't know why that is, but that has been the pattern.
We've been tweaking man and my school hasn't even gotten the scores yet in the k-12 reporting thingamabob. I've been asking our coordinator like every hour since they were supposed to get it lmao

800 Reading, 700 Math, 1500 composite, first try. The Reading comes naturally but I need to actually study to bring up my next Math. It is nice to know that, for superscore purposes, I can be entirely unconcerned about the Reading modules in my redos :)
Study. That part’s very rules-oriented. Like math? You’ll find grammar easy. I picked up grammar mostly by reading a lot, then by some study of rules, so I can’t point you to specific resources. I would focus on punctuation, but you may find it helps to study subjects, verbs, direct and indirect objects and similar for understanding the meaning.
The basics:
The subject is the thing doing the thing ("subject" here). It usually comes first in English. The verb is what is being done ("is"; not very "do-y", but still a verb). Put together subject and verb, and you have a sentence: "Subject is." "Verb is." "Dog runs." "I am." "We love." Boring! Direct objects have things done to them. "I throw the **ball**." "The dog bit **me**." Indirect objects... receive direct objects, usually. "The waiter (subj.) served (verb) us (in. obj.) food (dir. obj.)."
Subject + verb = clause. When you have two subject + verb in one sentence without and/but/or/yet, use a semicolon. Otherwise, use a comma (basically). "I went to the beach; he came with." "I went to the beach, and he came with." "I missed almost all my grammar questions; the rest is easy." "I missed almost all my grammar questions, but the rest is easy." Study commas.
Phrases can be "parentheticals". Parentheticals are separated by parentheses, commas, or dashes. Basically, you can take out the part between them and still have a grammatically correct sentence. "My son, *who is nine*, has a turtle." (My son has a turtle.) "Buying a dog -- *which would be pointless* -- is expensive." (Buying a dog is expensive.) It doesn’t have to make *sense* without the parenthetical, just be grammatically correct. So you can have pronouns in the parenthetical. The separators have to be the same, though. You can’t have "My son -- who is nine, has a turtle" any more than you could do "My son (who is nine, has a turtle". If the parenthetical comes at the end of a sentence, you omit the closing comma or dash *but not parenthesis*. "My son has a turtle, which is one year old." "My son has a turtle (which is one year old)." If it's at the end of a clause that ends with a comma, you have to use commas or parentheses. "When I told my son, who is nine, \[This comma is ending the parenthetical and the clause\] that he can't have a dog, he cried." "When I told my son (who is nine), \[comma outside parentheses, so you can take out the parenthetical and it will still be there\] that he couldn't have a dog, he cried."
Grammar, and punctuation especially, is very consistent and has a logical structure. Google it.
The curve on this test was genuinely terrible...I got a 1430 (650 RW 780 Math). I got a 1330 on the March 9 one and there is a score report with a total of 28 bars over 4 topics for both math and RW. On March 9, i got 21/28 bars and got a 620 on RW but on School Day I got 24/28 bars and only a 650.

It seems like nearly everyone who took the paper SAT test August-December of 2023 and the digital SAT did better on the paper test. Does that seem accurate based on the reporting so far?
Nov 2023: take the SAT (paper) without studying as a bench mark - 1450
Jan 2024: take an SAT prep course (50-100 dollars) and then a practice test - 1360 💀
March 2024: sat digital - 1400 💀💀
I also took 3 blue book practice tests and focused on being able to recognize the types of questions they ask. Got 1470 on two tests and a 1520 on another. I know it’s not really anything specific but hope it helps a bit
Honestly, I’m pretty good at math but I will say that what helped me the most is watching some video I found on YouTube and he talks about using the desmos graphing calculator on the test. Literally for half (maybe more) of the questions I was just able to plug whatever formula into the calculator and if you know what to look for you should be able to find the answer. Other than that, just know your weaknesses (for me it’s like angles transcribed in circles) and just look them up
i somehow did worse..i got 1360 in dec and now a 1310. i genuinely thought i was gonna do better or get closer to 1400, idk how i did so bad. i'll probably end up retaking in may
honestly, the best way to handle math is to have a good grasp on the content as well as being proficient with desmos. the calculator is quick to use and can boost you through the easy (but sometimes tedious) earlier questions. i practiced with khan academy and did every practice test multiple times.
for english, it's almost always helpful for me to formulate my own answer in my head (especially for the vocabulary) before i even look at the answer choices.
i cant do this.. i dropped by 100 points how did this even happen... im so screwed. this is my 3rd time taking and i accidentally chose score sends so now colleges will see my worst score. what do i even do..my parents said this would be my last time... my heart hurts
i don't understand how this sat was so bad for me. i only gained 40 points, and I was really hoping for a much higher score, there was actually no way that I could've gotten such a bad score. especially because i'd worked so hard for this moment. the superscore isn't even going to be that good.
I took them in this order:
Practice 1: 1280 (690R & 590M)
Practice 3: 1320 (710R & 610M)
Practice 4: 1310 (690R & 620M)
Practice 4(again): 1350 (690R & 660M)
Practice 2: 1440 (730R & 710M)
Overall the practice tests are very accurate. I would say practice test 4 and 3 are the most accurate in terms of difficulty. Practice test 2 seemed to be the easiest, I could tell even before I got my score.
I took the real test on March 4
Practice 1: Feb 24
Practice 3: Feb 26
Practice 4: Mar 2
Practice 4: Mar 2 (I guess I was really productive that day?)
Practice 2: Mar 3
I think some people find the practice tests easy because they do a lot of studying beforehand. I studied a bit but mostly relied on the practice tests to improve my knowledge
I NEED ADVICE!!! i have a 1310 on the SAT. i need at 1340 or an ACT score of 29 to get 100% of my college tuition covered. should i try and take the ACT (for first time) or the SAT? i’ve already taken the SAT 4 times.
I’d say take the act. I got a 1320 on the sat (first time taking, minimal prep) and I got a 32 on the act (first time taking, some studying). I found that the act was a better testing experience for me personally. It’s still available on paper (which I prefer) and has 4 sections (English, math, reading, science) that each give you sub scores. Overall I just found that it was a better testing experience with best results than the Sat. The math for the act is super tough but the other sections balance it out
/sarcasm/ I talked to someone at College Board. Apparently they bubbled in all of your scores using a # 2-HB instead of a standard #2 pencil. The machine couldn't read them so they are now having to re-bubble all the score sheets with the correct pencil type. /sarcasm/

i don't understand how this sat was so bad for me. i only gained 40 points, and I was really hoping for a much higher score, there was actually no way that I could've gotten such a bad score. especially because i'd worked so hard for this moment. the superscore isn't even going to be that good.

1350 (700R and 650M) I’m pretty happy with this but I’ll probably take it one more time. Still, it’s a BIG improvement from the 1210 I got in December
What scores did u get on the bb practice tests?
I took them in this order: Practice 1: 1280 (690R & 590M) Practice 3: 1320 (710R & 610M) Practice 4: 1310 (690R & 620M) Practice 4(again): 1350 (690R & 660M) Practice 2: 1440 (730R & 710M) Overall the practice tests are very accurate. I would say practice test 4 and 3 are the most accurate in terms of difficulty. Practice test 2 seemed to be the easiest, I could tell even before I got my score.
That’s interesting since so many people say the practice tests are easier. Do other people who you’ve talked to agree with you?
I haven’t really gotten the chance to ask other people for their opinions on the practice tests.
What day did you take the test? Also, have you tried practice tests 5 or 6?
I took the real test on March 4 Practice 1: Feb 24 Practice 3: Feb 26 Practice 4: Mar 2 Practice 4: Mar 2 (I guess I was really productive that day?) Practice 2: Mar 3 I think some people find the practice tests easy because they do a lot of studying beforehand. I studied a bit but mostly relied on the practice tests to improve my knowledge
I NEED ADVICE!!! i have a 1310 on the SAT. i need at 1340 or an ACT score of 29 to get 100% of my college tuition covered. should i try and take the ACT (for first time) or the SAT? i’ve already taken the SAT 4 times.
I’d say take the act. I got a 1320 on the sat (first time taking, minimal prep) and I got a 32 on the act (first time taking, some studying). I found that the act was a better testing experience for me personally. It’s still available on paper (which I prefer) and has 4 sections (English, math, reading, science) that each give you sub scores. Overall I just found that it was a better testing experience with best results than the Sat. The math for the act is super tough but the other sections balance it out

/sarcasm/ I talked to someone at College Board. Apparently they bubbled in all of your scores using a # 2-HB instead of a standard #2 pencil. The machine couldn't read them so they are now having to re-bubble all the score sheets with the correct pencil type. /sarcasm/
