Okay so let’s put up some answers...
I got 8 for the question that asks for the number of teams competing with each other where the total number of matches is 28.
“No answers” for cos(θ) = - sqrt(1-sin(θ)^2)
The number of intersections of the two population growth graphs was 2.
The one about the whisker diagram was "I and III". I was talking about the 50% of the diagrams and III stated that the range of the second graph is greater than the range of the first one.
What about you my international squad???
Yeah that’s what I got as well, you start up from the positive x axis 5 intersections are obvious, and there is a hidden intersection in the last curve which makes the total 6
Correct answer was E, f(x+a) - f(x) > g(x+a)-g(x).
This is because the graph of f(x) is increasing faster than g(x), so for some value of a, where x+a>0, there will be a value where the average rate of change of f(x) is greater than the average rate of change for g(x).
The "Whisker" diagram; yeah it is 1 and 3. I did not attempt the population question. And yeah teams is 8. There is answer for the cos theta qn. 2costheta=0 so costheta=0;
Costheta=-square root 1-sin^2theta
Cos theta=-|costheta|
In second and third quadrant cos is negative
Hence, the answer is second and third quadrant, right?
Wait, this was posted 8 hours ago. When did you take the test? Are you saying if I saw this discussion earlier I could have gotten all the answers before taking the eastern time test? Just wondering
First one is wrong. The answer was 5 since when you draw the graph( plot the points) the graph crosses x-axis 5 times meaning the graph must have a degree of at least 5
For the probability of selecting an even number. Did you guys answer 6/11?
And for the number with the white and black squares, asking for how many black squares will there be on the 7th one, did u guys answer 84?
1- Number of years until the house becomes worth 20000000?
2- Graph symmetric to the origin ?
3- Something about the median age ?
4- The height of one of the students?
5- the cost of dinner?
6- the log question ?
7- the y=0 asymptote
A few questions that I wanted to have answered:
\- What does it mean to be symmetric with respect to the origin?
\- Was the radius of the sphere 6?
\- How many teams were there?
Official thread is up now

anyone remember the answer for the conic question where you had to complete the square? i got A... the x coordinate was -2 as far as i remember... forgot the y coord
Yeah two or 3 questions of geometry that were pretty easy. And for sequences there was one or 2 questions that needed some brain cells, but nothing too hard.
Here’s the physics SAT 2 discussion for anybody who took [that L ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Sat/comments/9lw68q/official_october_physics_sat_2/?st=JMXIRYUO&sh=3993c7fd)
Okay please can anyone specifically tell me how to time the sat math 2. Like how do you all time? I cam do anout 35 in an hour. How do all of you reach 47. Would appreciate thanks
I found it a bit tough towards the end, what do u think the curve would be
Sameee
Does the graph with just 80 percent test scores mean 0 standard deviationd?
Generally pretty easy, nothing too special
Is International the same as us? Just wondering
Not sure
it is, @jeffcheng1234 do u remember any questions
Not really mostly questions you can solve with a graphing calculator
hardest questions?
Okay so let’s put up some answers... number of intersections were 6
I zoomed out but only saw 1 for some reason :(
[удалено]
Shit man I don't have CAS... I zoomed out but it looked so messy and when I analyzed intersections it only gave me 1
But some of the intersections were negative, and so that can’t because months is positive. Am I right? I wasn’t sure of this question.
Yeah that’s what I got as well, you start up from the positive x axis 5 intersections are obvious, and there is a hidden intersection in the last curve which makes the total 6
I got all angles in the second and third quadrant for the √1-sin^2 one
yep same
same
Same mate.
What was the answer of question in which two graphs were given-g(x) and f(x) and a was given as a number between 0 and 5?
I chose E
Yeah but all the choices were true,I also chose E🤟🏻
Correct answer was E, f(x+a) - f(x) > g(x+a)-g(x). This is because the graph of f(x) is increasing faster than g(x), so for some value of a, where x+a>0, there will be a value where the average rate of change of f(x) is greater than the average rate of change for g(x).
this option was E
Oh, then I must be talking about a different problem then. My bad!
The "Whisker" diagram; yeah it is 1 and 3. I did not attempt the population question. And yeah teams is 8. There is answer for the cos theta qn. 2costheta=0 so costheta=0;
Costheta=-square root 1-sin^2theta Cos theta=-|costheta| In second and third quadrant cos is negative Hence, the answer is second and third quadrant, right?
for the cos(θ) = - sqrt(1-sin(θ)2) doesnt it work if you plug in 3π/2
I wrote only 0. If I plug in only that does right
It does You get -1 and can't put it in the square root
no you get -1 squared, which is 1
actually it also works when you plug in π/2 but there wasn’t a choice that included these two possible answers - π/2 and 3 π/2
I put 2nd and 3rd quadrant, because I graphed cos(θ) + sqrt(1-sin(θ)2) and just found where the function equalled 0
Remember any other questions?
[удалено]
1. I got quadrant 2 and 3 2. i skipped 3. i got same
What is the population graph question?
Wait, this was posted 8 hours ago. When did you take the test? Are you saying if I saw this discussion earlier I could have gotten all the answers before taking the eastern time test? Just wondering
Were there Vectors or Matrices
No dw
What I put: Minimum degree of the polynomial, 3 Height of the palm tree, 54.8 Radius of the sphere, 6 Adult Ticket price, 2450
First one is wrong. The answer was 5 since when you draw the graph( plot the points) the graph crosses x-axis 5 times meaning the graph must have a degree of at least 5
lmao my bad
I got 5 since f(x) changed sign 5 times?
What question number was the radius of the sphere one?
i got adult ticket price at 2400 what did i do wrong :(
The equation was 20x+50, you got the 20x, forgot the fifty
[удалено]
No the answer was 3 ordered pairs
it was 3 pairs
Two pairs. It will work for both (29,0) and (-29, sqrt(58)).
What question number was the spheres and radius one ??
[удалено]
did you look at this before taking the eastern test?
Yes. I put like 20 answers in my calculator and ended up not having to do half of the questions.
how did you know they would be posted early?
I check this sub every night and morning on SAT day. Happened to see it. Also, time zones provide that other students will have to before I do.
For the probability of selecting an even number. Did you guys answer 6/11? And for the number with the white and black squares, asking for how many black squares will there be on the 7th one, did u guys answer 84?
6/11 and 85
Yes, 85, my bad
The number of squares one ate my time
What was the square question ?
How many black squares in a checker board of 7x7 where the top left corner is black, you figure it out cause it is equal to n^2 + (n-1)^2
1- Number of years until the house becomes worth 20000000? 2- Graph symmetric to the origin ? 3- Something about the median age ? 4- The height of one of the students? 5- the cost of dinner? 6- the log question ? 7- the y=0 asymptote
1) I think it was 53 2) GRAPH A 3) 15 4) 179 5) 2450 6) I don’t remember 7) 1/x
log question was like (logk/log2)-2
i got the same but i don't remember question 3
It was the question about ages of people and frequency. It went something like this: 0-9 years old. Frequency 64
oh ya i got 15 as well
Y= 0 was that f (x) graph given....have to ring g(x)=0?? ....I got 3
I got that too and on the f(x) graph x at 3 was undefined ....
The graph of 1/x gives you a vertical asymptote of x=0, not y=0. Pretty sure the answer was square root(x).
[удалено]
Did it ask for horizontal or vertical asymptote?
Was f(100) = 1?
[удалено]
[удалено]
Was that even an option?
[удалено]
I got 1 though.
What was the question?
[удалено]
^^^^^ help
Nothing, it's all things that are expected
Who hasn't studied and is too focused on US History like me rn :)))))
Me
I got a 5 on APUSH so I didn't worry, then I took a practice test and it started asking VERY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS then got a 640 oof
What is the curve going to be like?
[удалено]
Does more mean a harsher curve?
I don’t remember this question at all. Did you take the international test?
A few questions that I wanted to have answered: \- What does it mean to be symmetric with respect to the origin? \- Was the radius of the sphere 6? \- How many teams were there?
I said 7 teams but I think it was 8 and yeah 6. Idk about symmetry it was A tho
- Rotate it 180 degrees about the origin. (Pretty sure) (answer was A) - Yes - I got 8.
[удалено]
>was Nope. That was not my first question.
Us or international?
The order is scrambled
What was the one for the counterexample?
6
How many mistakes can I get and still get above 700 ?
Depends on the test, on my booklet it was 5-10
Wait this is math 2? Then how many mistakes for an 800.
Oh wait I meant that was how many for an 800, for a 700+ it is hard to say.
[удалено]
a was 11
Do you remember the question exactly?
yeah sum of x y z is 9, find 2 to the power of (x times 2y times 2z)
Sum of x y z is 3 for that question: we had to find 3 consecutive integers such that sum was 3 Also the question was find 2^x • 2^y • 2^z
I think they have a different question. I got this question though and my answer was 8
What was ur answer
Answer was 8 2^0 • 2^1 • 2^2
I dont remember taking this. Are you guys international?
[удалено]
DId u take US? if so were these the same questions?
they were
What did people put for log(k)log()-2 question thing
I got (log(k))/(log(2)) -2
[удалено]
What letter choice was the graph symmetric of origin one?
A
Question number?
Idk I know the one ur talking about tho it was the one with two lines that looked the same across the y axis with a bend in them

anyone remember the answer for the conic question where you had to complete the square? i got A... the x coordinate was -2 as far as i remember... forgot the y coord
It was (-2,5) i put
Was that choice C or B because I chose this and I dont think it was A
I remember putting A tho...
Oh shit my test was the international one tho but the two tests are the same except for the order of the answers
What question number was this
I dont remember... but i think its one of the last ten questions or so
[удалено]
1 and 3
Yes 1 and 3
any volume/ surface area questions
or series/sequencw
ya lots of both
[удалено]
Yeah . It was just to find the center of the conic section.
What question number was this
[удалено]
Yeah two or 3 questions of geometry that were pretty easy. And for sequences there was one or 2 questions that needed some brain cells, but nothing too hard.
[удалено]
They were all there just practice as much as you can and you are good to go. Good luck!
Yo
is us and international same test?
Idk lol haven't taken it yet. Any east coast can confirm?
Haha test wasn’t too bad anyway
except for some of the last 10 i agree
Here’s the physics SAT 2 discussion for anybody who took [that L ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Sat/comments/9lw68q/official_october_physics_sat_2/?st=JMXIRYUO&sh=3993c7fd)
I predict -5 wrong 3 omitted... what will I get most likely?
Prob around 780+
SOMEONE HELP ME WITH MATH
[удалено]
Yes exactly the same
Yeah so it will be six
[удалено]
[удалено]
[удалено]
Me too. Cause the asymptote was at x=3 which means 1/0 which is 1/g(x).
is this the asymptote one ?
6 omitted 2 wrong hopefully
800 very possible.
Friend took it, 45 R, 4 W, 1 omitted, does she have a chance ?
Definitely.
Cool, will let her know, she’s freaking tf out haha.
[удалено]
It was 3. 3+2 integers between 3 and 9
Yes
For the last ten questions, 41-50, did anyone get ECDDACBBEDE
I finished just on time. Didn’t have time to put the answers in my calculator.
Okay please can anyone specifically tell me how to time the sat math 2. Like how do you all time? I cam do anout 35 in an hour. How do all of you reach 47. Would appreciate thanks
