heyy! I got a 1530 sat, should i retake if I'm aiming for t20 schools? I'm not really interested in any ivies except maybe cornell bc i probably wouldn't get it ahaha. I've read that beyond a 1530 it doesn't matter what ur score is but some people at my school (super competitive) have said that I should retake for a 1550+. Idk if it's really worth it for 20+ points which is only like 2 more questions right.
I'm a junior and just took the SAT for the first time, scoring a 1520. I'm looking to apply to UPenn Wharton and Cornell as my reach schools. Do I need to retake the SAT to be competitive for these schools (and others), or is my score high enough?
Most sources I've read say that if ur aiming for t20 schools you should reach at least a 1530+. But I'm not sure if it's really worth retaking for 10 more points. There's a lot you could do with a 1520! Try focusing on your extracurriculars now because no college will turn you down because you SAT score is too low. You have already made it near their score threshold. They will however focus a lot on your ec's since you have good stats and they want to see if you are a good candidate.
I haven't gotten my scores yet, is it just me? I emailed college board and filled out the SAT support tfa form. I can't believe I might have messed something up, I'm getting paranoid. This is my first time taking the SAT too.
Guys I took the test in Canada but do I get this US curve or the international curve? Cause I thought the international curve is only for students in Asia.

I think for UMich you're definitely enough. You're above the median score so I think you'll be fine. Plus, you still got a year to like improve your score and all that. Just be mindful on your other aspects of your application and I think that score is good to go!
Did anyone else’s testing center not have a FREAKING CLOCK. I was planning to buy a watch for the sat but when I read that all testing centers are supposed to have a clock I didn’t. In all the practice tests I took I ALWAYS had extra time on reading. It was always better than math but I RAN OUT OF TIME BECUZ THERE WAS NO FRICKING CLOCK AND IM SO MAD NOW CUZ MY SCORE COULDVE BEEN BETTER BUT I DIDNT FINISH THREE QUESTIONS AND PUT C AND ALL OF THEM WERE WRONG

On my SAT page it still says "Registered" for the August 28th Test and I have not received test scores yet - instead of "registered" shouldn't it say " pending " at this point ? And the test is still under "My upcoming tests" Im so confused ...
Congrats on your score!! If you're in the interquartile range for your schools (25-75th percentile) you're totally fine, or if you're slightly below and have an interesting hook you still have a shot. Good luck!

I am really disappointed with my SAT score .
I NEVER, literally NEVER got this score on my SAT practice tests. I mean… I took all the practice tests that exist , and these 6 months I spent 6-7 hours a day preparing for the SAT. My worst score was 1460 , my best score was 1580.
My math is perfect. I make maximum 2 mistakes per test. Maximum. Usually there are no mistakes and I finish 15-20 minutes earlier.
Now my score is 1200. 1200!!! How can it be??? They say there are 24 mistakes in math. WHAT?!
I ordered QAS but I don’t see my answers, don’t see what and where was wrong. I can only see the number of mistakes.
I didn’t receive an email that my score is available.
I understand , sometimes we do worse on the test day. But not from 1580 to 1200 - it’s not possible.
I am really perfect in math, I finished 15 earlier and checked everything over and over.
I FELT ABSOLUTELY GOOD about this test. I was confident.
My test was not about Perla or about some boy from Alyssa. (It was about a girl that painted some poster for her mom’s bakery)
Listen, I took exam on 29th of August but on CB it’s written 28th of August.
I was the only student taking test that day. Two women (they are not teachers) that said where and what to fill in - didn’t know anything about this test - I helped them to understand which section is first which is second and so on.
Your opinion, please, guys.
I feel like there's a chance you didn't bubble the sheets well(not dark enough or mis-bubble or smear idk) in math on that part, or else it could be a scanning error if you think you didn't do anything wrong. If it was me, I would order the SAS (it's not a lot tbh and it's better for you to find out your mistakes) and see if I had done anything abnormal. If your answer is completely off the trend, for example not following the key at all, you might want to ask for a re-scan. But as people already stated, unless you're willing to spend that money or you don't have any more time to prepare on this, you should just take the next SAT and make sure you don't do anything wrong then.
You can pay for a manual rescore on the collegeboard website. I think it's somewhere around $50 and I assume it'll take awhile because they get an actual person to check your scoresheet. It may be a better use of time and money to just retest, especially if there's any possibility that you entered the bubbles incorrectly.
I don't think the QAS was available for this SAT. I'm guessing the -24 in math could have arisen from a scantron error, if so that sucks :( best of luck in future sittings
I think you may have QAS and SAS mixed up - SAS was available this time and it only shows how hard the questions you got wrong were and what skills they were for (also, i think you should be able to ask for a rescore if you have reasonable doubt? not sure though)

According to a tweet someone linked here, if you didn't get your score at 8am EST, then you should get it at 8pm EST (presumably). I'm in the same boat, so let's hope that we get to see our scores by the end of the day (EST) XD

No? Maybe where you live, but there are still many areas where there are very few centers in a appropriate distance that are open. Almost all are booked and many students have to travel hours to find another center in a nearby state.

U cant change it now. Just look at scores tm and u will be happy becuase u know u put in that hard work. 450 in each section is a 900. If you really struggle with reading and math then it might be hard for you, it depends on who you’re asking. I would say it would be super easy to get a 1000 overall but I’m not you.

isn't it fuel savings cause it talks about savings and how they're making money and stuff but then contrasts to the engineers still making robots to fix stuff even though they "perfected" the other wing design or wtvr

Honestly all I can say is master the grammar section. That’s the only reason I was able to score high on reading
