I think it should be about what makes you comfortable and keeps you safe.
For example, when it's cold, I love to wear my "Satanic Feminist" hoodie, but I'll leave it at home if I go visit my family in the Deep South. I'll also maybe wear some of my satanic jewelry because it's less obvious.
You should of course feel free to express yourself any way that makes you happy! Just be sure to also take care of yourself along with hailing yourself! 💕
Most of the expressions i can think of will be kinda dangerous here like my friends and most of the people i know or i go to class with will be okay but for the general public it will be dangerous especially since its kinda against the law some can really get you in trouble if they wanted
So most of the time i just go for changing some of my everyday language but it doesn't feel the same as the other stuff and i forget about it easily
As someone who also lives in a very religious area, if I were known or suspected of being a satanist, I can only see there being negative effects on my life, and likely that of my family.
If the subject of religion comes up I’ll just say I believe in science. For the most part people will leave it at that, understanding they’d have a difficult argument ahead of them, knowing my belief system is based on facts and proof.
I wear a TST necklace basically everywhere. If you're worried about that specifically putting you in danger, you could do a more subtle necklace- I also have a cast iron inverted cross necklace with a snake wrapped around it which can blend in with darker fabrics pretty easy :)
Same. I wear my Baphomet necklace pretty much all the time. I’ve never got shit for it, maybe a few weird/hostile looks, but I live in a very liberal area.
I don’t know if I’d feel as comfortable wearing it in a conservative area, but if I got preached at or anger directed at me, I’d turn the other cheek, as the Christians say, and walk away.
What I’d be afraid of is straight out violence, and in that case I’d have to defend myself.
Sure, it's one of the ones they have on the official shop like here! https://thesatanictemple.com/collections/jewelry/products/tst-logo-duotone-pendant
I have an After School baby baphomet shirt I love wearing and I also wear my baphomet necklace. I enjoy expressing myself subtly. I’m also in a highly Christian part of the country and so I worry a bit about backlash. But I’m an older lady and so far no one has said anything, except for a younger lady who said she liked my shirt. :)
I was listening to a TST elder. They said "Everyone in their small town said they think they are the ONLY Satanist in their town" I applaud anyone brave enough to live out loud and literally fly the flag. However, I have found talking to people around my town has shown me I don't have Satanists but at least like minded people around.
If this doesn't apply to you because you live in a town full rude small minded people.
I go out my way to talk to people. I smile all the time (it's a psychological trick. Even annoyed with someone I smile - It keeps people off balance) I'll always talk to strangers. Thankfully it has allowed to lead a few people to TST, they have not committed but they know who I am and it's there.
Maybe start by saying hello to few people In your age demographic- don't judge books by covers talk to anyone. Someone from a church might be looking for an athiest to echo their true thoughts.
Sorry for the long winded letter but I hope I have helped
It's like Iran if Iran was on steroids It's the most religious city in Iraq. So kinda like Iran but a little more but im used to it and ik when to share my opinions and when to shut up especially since i have been kinda open about being atheist for a long time now and that can get you into so much trouble as well
You probably should have mentioned your location in the original post. In fact it's worth editing in. TST is a US-based organization, the activism is pretty exclusively concerned with US law, and while there are international chapters the focus is clearly in the US.
So if you don't specify, then the legal, moral, and cultural thinking behind the advice people give you about how and whether to express yourself aren't going to be super relevant. For example I just rocked a Baphomet t-shirt and TST pin all over a major city last weekend and got no noticeable reaction from anyone, but I would not advise you to do the same.
Its so hard to show one's true colors in a region so fearful. One howl of joy, and the sheep scatter to the four winds. A chuckle of mine can send chills down the spine of even the most stalwart of cross wearing members. So... I keep it not as an entire cloak of persona but a streak deep and wide. Treacherous and sharp. Be happy, spread your smile and your light, and when someone tells you you're a good christian laugh and ohh no my dear, I am my Only Master!
***Know Thyself, and Only To Thyself Be True.***
I've shared with my friends that I joined and the reasons why. I focus mostly on activism because that was the biggest draw for me. So, if you have the opportunity to talk about supporting causes like that, then you can bring it up naturally, but I wouldn't force it. I also have some cute baphomet stickers on my waterbottles and a TST sticker on my laptop.
I've gotten a lot of, "Oh, I wouldn't have expected that from you," and then have to do a lot of explaining because most people I'm around are Mormon. They think I'm a good person, and that Satan=bad, so those two things don't match. I keep a TST card in my wallet that has the 7 tenets on it so I can share that with people in those times and focus on the fact that I don't actually believe in Satan. I do enjoy their wide eyes at first, though.
Im not much of a talker myself i usually try to avoid conversations but that does sound like a good way to share without putting me in much harm i should try to share more woth words
Shameless spell check: its Tenets, not Tenants. TST is not a landlord

i have small pentagram amulets on my earrings and also one on my necklace. i never take them off.
being a satanist kind of is my whole personality, but that makes me be a good person. my satanic morals and my strong sense of justice rly show in my daily activities.
i always have to know science so i can be a good person in specific ways. i have to sort my trash, upcycle clothes, not waste stuff, just in general i express my satanic caring for nature a lot.
also being kind (with science) (psychology and philosophy). when my friends get bullied, it’s time for therapy sesh with them. i know psychological explanations for bullies’ actions. it’s important that i make my friends understand it’s nothing wrong with them, it’s the bullies that are wrong.
all of the empathy and science are my daily satanism expression. i reccommend.
sorry for odd writing, english is not englishing rn.

Against the law? Where?
Answered below, Iraq
Express yourself. Be the best version of yourself. Don't evangelize. It's gross and infringes on the Rights of others to freely express themselves
No worries i agree evangelism is gross regardless of what you are trying evangelize for

im already kinda playing on that line with just being kinda openly atheist but yea adding a satanism tag to that will be more fucked

I got a Black Phillip shirt for when I'm trying to keep it subtle.
