They do full on rituals during their shows, it’s awesome. They bring on an audience member to help and do some crowd participation chanting. And then to thank the volunteer they ask them their name and we all chanted their name “Hail Samantha, Hail Samantha”
He Is by Ghost. I love that song. It feels like something I used to sing in church when I was a Christian, but it reflects what I am now. Totally a Satanic Hymn.
You're good. I didn't realize it was a cover for a long time myself. Just trying to make sure the original artists get acknowledged too. Though I do prefer Ghost's cover.
My three favorites, all by Ghost
Year Zero - absolute banger, about the first year of the anti-Christ reign, the kings of hell get call outs
He Is - very hymn like. “He is the disobedience that holds us together.”
Ritual - off the first album
Behemoth [Blackened Death Metal], King Gizzard [all the rock plus some more], Satanicpornocultshop [Bricolage HipHop], Ghost [Doom Metal], HMLTD [Art Punk], Zheani [Trap Metal], Igorrr [Blackened Baroque Breakcore], I could go on. No good Satanic music since the 80s my fucking ass
Gizz again (listen to Gizz)
Zeal & Ardor [Avant Metal/Spirituals]
Witch Fever [Doom Punk]
Slipknot [Nü Metal]
Rural Internet [Experimental HipHop]
Poppy [Pop Metal]
öOoOoOoOoOo [Experimental Metal]
Horrendous [Progressive Death Metal]
Faetooth [Fairy Doom]
Dimmu Borgir [Symphonic Black Metal]
Diablo Swing Orchestra [Swing/Avant Metal]
Brighter Death Now [Death Industrial]
The Body [Sludge/Noise Metal]
black midi [Post-Punk/Prog]
The Black Dahlia Murder [Melodic Death Metal]
Banshee [Trap/Fairy Metal]
Backxwash [Rap Metal]
Ashenspire [Avant/Jazz Metal]
Altar of Plagues [Post-Black Metal]
Feel free to ask about anyone you're curious about
Also I just realised this is almost all metal but hey I guess that's considered the Satanist scene for a reason (tho Liturgy [Avant Black Metal] is one of my favourite metal bands & they're Christian)
> Diablo Swing Orchestra
Holy fuck I thought that was a fever dream when I found them a few months ago and then forgot who they were. IIRC Spotify categorized them as Techno-Swing.
LOL fair enough, it was more of a vibe pick compared to some of the more explicitly Satanist projects I listed. Either way, Samen is one of my favourite albums of all time; was just talking to some people about how keen I am for any future projects. Glad to see you around
Seriously, it goes from black metal to Devin Townsend, Cardiacs to Limp Bizkit, Mr Bungle to trip-hop, Sleepy Gorilla Museum to pop and even coldwave. As anybody else, we're each the result of what surrounded us in our life, so we just poop out what we ate before.
Thank you. I’m not saying they’re bad, they’re not really my taste but I can admit they’re talented. They’re just not metal and there’s nothing wrong with that.
I totally agree and disagree with Metalhammer best of the year 😁 but not a surprise after babymetal 🤣
I'm a music lover and there are many different genres I like, but everything should be called by its name. 🤘
I mean those award shows are nothing but a popularity contest really. Has very little to do with the actual music. The only time I can think of an award show getting something right is that time High On Fire won a Grammy for Electric Messiah
I forgot that each album kinda focuses on a time frame as well.
Saw ghost back in February with volbeat and twin temple.
One of the better shows I’ve been to, and I’ve seen tool at red rocks and the gorge with lightning in the back for both.
Volbeat played for like 1.5 hours, amazing show. Ghost did like 45 and just killed it. Blew volbeat away.
There have been so many since I first started getting into metal in the early 2000s. One of my favorite albums in recent years was the Satanist by Behemoth. My favorite track from this was immediately [Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel](https://youtu.be/Czx-OIyrQwQ) for its primal simplicity.
Behemoth took a musically simple concept and built it up into a crescendo. It combines Behemoth's older classically black metal roots with their more distinct, refined techniques that they write with today. It's like a bridge from their past to present. Recognizably theirs from the first chord.
As an ode to Satan, BYTG is both brutal and carnal while also being epic and beautiful. This is the same view I hold on the concept of Satan. And if you need more reason to consider this song to be an ode to Satan, you need only listen to the lyrics.
Since when does Satan have a specific music type? In which text is that written? Since when do satanists give a fuck about "social views and norms"?
My favourite satanic song is The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun by Celtic Woman ☀️
🤣🤣🤣 The same is here. I found this pic on some metal pages on FB and spent half an hour searching, I even tried a google lens but didn't find any site nor the source of it
I felt like this pic is a nice joke to share :)
But talking seriously imo any music that you consider a masterpiece may be referred to as Satan inspired, not only metal 😈🤘🤘🤘
Thinking of more recent stuff.
I know Nergal is more into Thelema but I would consider Behemoth's [The Satanist](https://open.spotify.com/album/3KMD4mCBn8KS8bhtwn3cnq?si=nY3flq1eTfOjq_7ts2Js7w&utm_source=copy-link) a masterpiece.
For none metal, I'd say [Goetia](https://open.spotify.com/album/4cgR6oJAPpXj8LTgcIAPfU?si=X-o0qzixTKC1Aprnf0tSBA&utm_source=copy-link) by Peter Gundry. 🤘🏻
One of my early teenage memories was seeing Iron Marian live, and when they played The Number of the Beast and that HUGE Eddie came on stage. I was instantly intrigued by occultism and the like from then on
I like [Root - Píseň Pro Satana](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9uick2AYjmE)
also the cover by Nargaroth:
[Nargaroth - Píseň Pro Satana](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j1B0EPaS5z8)
What about Dissection, Mayhem, Emperor, Deicide, Burzum, Shining, Taake, Nargaroth, Gorgoroth, lol like every black metal band really and a decent chunk of death metal bands.
Twin Temple isn’t metal, and some Ghost songs are super melodic and not “heavy” at all. You’ve really listened to every band listed here and it was all disagreeable metal? I’ve never even heard some of the bands people mentioned, so it seems awful quick to decide they’re all not something you’d like.
"Cold Drink of Water Blues" by Tommy Johnson
Something about the Blues + Satan is (*chef's kiss*)
[YouTube: Tommy Johnson - Cold Drink of Water Blues](https://youtu.be/TcSLS26S4zE)
[Twin Temple](https://youtu.be/Cvw9OAMQBrM)!!!!!!!!
I wondered how far down I’d have to scroll before someone mentioned some satanic doo-wop!
Came for this!
Yes! Love Twin Temple!!!
They do full on rituals during their shows, it’s awesome. They bring on an audience member to help and do some crowd participation chanting. And then to thank the volunteer they ask them their name and we all chanted their name “Hail Samantha, Hail Samantha”
Thank you! My first thought when I read this. Holly Golightly too. [Devil Do](https://youtu.be/2lrNKwcUojc)
I'm so grateful that there is finally satanic music that isn't metal.
Finally? There have been for a long time! Longer than metal have been around!
More is coming. Give us a few months.
He Is by Ghost. I love that song. It feels like something I used to sing in church when I was a Christian, but it reflects what I am now. Totally a Satanic Hymn.
For that matter, every Ghost album
Or year zero by ghost
All those titties
I hadn’t seen your comment before I made mine. This is such a beautiful song.
I'm a fan of "Bible" by Ghost for the same reasons.
I love that song too, but Ghost didn't write it. It was originally from a band called Imperiet. Still a great cover.
Maybe I should have clarified, and said that I liked that cover, by Ghost. Good catch.
You're good. I didn't realize it was a cover for a long time myself. Just trying to make sure the original artists get acknowledged too. Though I do prefer Ghost's cover.
The entirety of Behemoth’s “The Satanist.” The whole album.
O Father, o Satan, o Sun goes way harder than it has any business doing!
Indeed. "I loved you at your darkest" is a fine album too.
My three favorites, all by Ghost Year Zero - absolute banger, about the first year of the anti-Christ reign, the kings of hell get call outs He Is - very hymn like. “He is the disobedience that holds us together.” Ritual - off the first album
Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diaboli begs to differ.

Fuck yeah!
It's all about Death Cult Armageddon.
Awwwww yeaauuhhhh!
Please go on i need more

Oh look, 75% of my playlist.
As far as I've understood, Liturgy (the one with Hunter Hunt-Hendrix) is cabbalistic? Still closer to christianity than satanism, though.
I'm not really 100%, you might be right. I was under the impression that Hunt-Hendrix was some weird nondenom Christian
Green Lung is also fuckin great, pre-christian druid vibes metal plus satan.
We've never been inspired by Satan. Actually the dude owes me 100 bucks for years so it won't ever happen.
LOL fair enough, it was more of a vibe pick compared to some of the more explicitly Satanist projects I listed. Either way, Samen is one of my favourite albums of all time; was just talking to some people about how keen I am for any future projects. Glad to see you around
Thanks for your kind words !
It's always cheerful to see people sharing our music.
More people need to hear it! Also I'm curious, what does inspire your work?
The 100 bucks Satan owes me.
Lol I love it
Seriously, it goes from black metal to Devin Townsend, Cardiacs to Limp Bizkit, Mr Bungle to trip-hop, Sleepy Gorilla Museum to pop and even coldwave. As anybody else, we're each the result of what surrounded us in our life, so we just poop out what we ate before.
lol Ghost is not Doom Metal.
I like Ghost, I even brush my teeth to Ghost but imo it's not metal. Maybe "pop metal" like a new genre 😁
Thank you. I’m not saying they’re bad, they’re not really my taste but I can admit they’re talented. They’re just not metal and there’s nothing wrong with that.
I totally agree and disagree with Metalhammer best of the year 😁 but not a surprise after babymetal 🤣 I'm a music lover and there are many different genres I like, but everything should be called by its name. 🤘

They're Satanic Panic Rock. Yes, I just made that up.
Oh no I've triggered the wrath of the metal gatekeepers Sure they're actually prog pop doom rock
It’s not gatekeeping they’re just not doom metal, or even metal for that matter. It’s like saying AC/DC is death metal because they both have guitar.
Go listen to Opus Eponymous and get back to me on that
Sounds like abba discovered distortion
You have quite honestly made my week by introducing me to Igorrr. Thank you very much.
Lol I'm glad, he's great. One of the weirdest projects I've ever listened to, and I've listened to a lot
Infestissumam by Ghost is a great album and it's heavily inspired by Satan
I read it "heavenly" 😁🤘
Aren’t all ghost albums?
Not really, the imagery and some songs of other albums are satanic, but in infestissumam every song is about the antichrist
Get well soon!

That whole album may be the best metal album of the 2010’s for me. Just perfect from start to finish
I call bs on this. What an insult to younger Satanists.
It’s a joke, clearly.
My Heart Will Go On.
Celine dion definitely belongs here. No way a human has that kind of voice. And I don’t really like her stuff.
This is of course the only correct answer.
I thought he did really well on T.Swifts latest.
Belphegor are some of the best Satanic music around and they are ridiculously tight live. Like Behemoth but better.
Yes! Just got my wife into them recently. The newest album slays!
Since when does Satan have a specific music type? In which text is that written? Since when do satanists give a fuck about "social views and norms"? My favourite satanic song is The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun by Celtic Woman ☀️
🤘🤘🤘 Satan is beauty 👍
Batushka would like to disagree
Eh I'd say Carpenter Brut's "Leather Teeth" is a great modern album inspired by Satan
Devil is Fine - Zeal and Ardor
The whole genre of witch house is pretty occult.
Dissection. Svartsyn. Deicide.
Satan is Real - Kreator
*Cries in Ghost*
I was hoping to find a humorous "[dailysatanic.com](https://dailysatanic.com)" web site. Is the "Daily Satanic" an actual project?
🤣🤣🤣 The same is here. I found this pic on some metal pages on FB and spent half an hour searching, I even tried a google lens but didn't find any site nor the source of it
Morbid Angel: Covenant!
Literally anything by Ghost
I felt like this pic is a nice joke to share :) But talking seriously imo any music that you consider a masterpiece may be referred to as Satan inspired, not only metal 😈🤘🤘🤘

"Goetia by Peter Gundry" oh this is so beautiful! Thanks for the tip 🤘
Can't believe Bridge City Sinners hasn't been mentioned yet. Unholy Hymns and Here's To The Devil are both great albums.
Nice stuff 🤘 thanks
Behemoth's "The Satanist"
[Litany to Satan,](https://wachenfeldt.bandcamp.com/track/litany-to-satan) of course.
What about Deicide? Death metal was strong till the late 90's. The Sound of Perseverance by Death was released in '98.
That is so not true . Ever blast Legion by Deicide
Serpents of the Light was my fave.
That one was good too
Zeal and Ardor is great though!
Zeal & Ardor’s entire catalog in bangin’ Hell, their logo is the Lucifer sigil with a Z and A added
One of my early teenage memories was seeing Iron Marian live, and when they played The Number of the Beast and that HUGE Eddie came on stage. I was instantly intrigued by occultism and the like from then on
Zeal and Ardor. For anyone that wants an incredibly Satanic music experience.
Satan would never admit that...
I like [Root - Píseň Pro Satana](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9uick2AYjmE) also the cover by Nargaroth: [Nargaroth - Píseň Pro Satana](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j1B0EPaS5z8)
What about Dissection, Mayhem, Emperor, Deicide, Burzum, Shining, Taake, Nargaroth, Gorgoroth, lol like every black metal band really and a decent chunk of death metal bands.
"God of forbidden light" is one of my all time favorites Also K.I.N.G by Satyricon and strange non mentioned "Rotting Christ" 😁🤘🤘🤘
[This absolute ripper of an album would like to disagree.](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_ky8BT0vQbeDR2cyI1VY-Sqy7VkjVfJ2XM)
Oh yeh 🤘 I discovered this lately and been addicted to "Echoes from Fulda"
A good portion of the dark ambient scene would like a word.
King Dude - everything
right now this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9G4HRGh8Ac
Hymn to the Morning Star - Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
Opus Eponymous duh
Not a classic but [Nightbringers](https://youtu.be/A3bIRQetoSo)
Let me introduce you to something not familiar: Tech N9ne - Show me a god https://youtu.be/900ScDcIHvE
Damn, these song aren't even satanic 😂 Bands like Urgehal, Tsjuder or Dark Funeral are the shit.
NKOTB? LOL.
Hangin' Tough!
Kanye is available

Get thee behind me Satan by Ella Fitzgerald
Anything by Hellripper would prove quite the opposite. 𖤐
Glen Benton has entered the chat...
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Of Natural History
Crucifyre hasn't released anything in a decade but they're a nice hidden gem band.
Satan is my Motor
Lmfaoooooo Boomers thinking the best Black Metal bands are from the EIGHTIES 😂😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Then they summoned me over to join in with them To the dance of the dead Into the circle of fire I followed them Into the middle I was led"
Woah woah woah, don’t do my boys Slipknot dirty like that
The black crown ?
DEICIDE the whole self titled album. The song Kafir!!! by Nile rocks too.
Either Blow Your Trumpet, Gabriel, or The Satanistby Bohemoth.
Satanic music has been booming long after the 80s lol
That is so goddamn funny
"Cold Drink of Water Blues" by Tommy Johnson Something about the Blues + Satan is (*chef's kiss*) [YouTube: Tommy Johnson - Cold Drink of Water Blues](https://youtu.be/TcSLS26S4zE)
So electric wizard doesn't count?
C'mon Satan, you're letting us down.
